  • Maybe you haven't been paying a lot of attention to Mitsubishi lately, but what if I told you that there's a big 'ol battery underneath the floor of this SUV. This is the 2023 Mitsubishi Plugin Hybrid. It can go up to 38 miles on electric power alone, plus it has seats for 7 people inside. Let's see if it's worth spending your hard earned money on.

Unfortunately, the charging details in this review are incorrect. The j1772 handles level one and level two charging. That is the left side of the charge port area and the Chad Mo charger handles the DC fast charging up to 50 kW and can charge the vehicle in about 30 minutes to 80% chadmo is optional on higher trims and not an option or available on the lower grade trims of the plug-in hybrid outlander.

I have been driving a Mitsu Phev gtp 2023 for 8 months, and one thing I can say so far is that it's awesome.

Soooo, the reviewer didn't try any of the drive modes? Put it in Tarmac or Power and it pulls like a beast.

For the size of the vehicle and the options, features, and range $51,000 seems like it could be a lot but then you look at others of the same size, options etc you would be looking at a price tag of $60,000 and more and the fact that Mitsubishi has one of if not the best AWD systems on the market and also has multiple driving options it slightly outclasses other makes and models in its category. Plus look at the different rebate offers you get and by the end of 6 years with it about $10,500 in tax rebates for buying a plug in hybrid and your looking at a final MSRP cost to the buyer of about $40,000 which again out classes all of its competitors

Interesting you don’t like the front end styling. Autobytel loves it on the Palisade which is a copy of outlander.

Because the previous Outlander PHEV is only a 2 row, the regular ICE is the only one that came with a 3rd row and people demanded a 3rd row option for the PHEV version, now Mitsubishi finally added a 3rd row to the PHEV version.
