Hello glen how are you love your vidio of the high tide ruff sea it comes over very quickly just like Blackpool if there is stormy weather and the sea can sometimes go on the tram track I find your vidioes very interesting you always put something different on best wishes take care stay safe from Lynn x ❤😅😅😊
15:05...........My heart skipped a beat when I saw those 2 small kids by the slipway. One wrong wave direction and not good.....................I was walking the dog along the west cliff and looked like the waves were possibly the biggest ive ever seen yesterday. You could feel them underfoot, slamming into the sea wall/promenade.
Two possibilities. Hunstanton is sheltered from this swell direction ? or with it being easterly and the swell coming long distance off Denmark, Hunstanton was below the direct line of the swell
I just check Hunstanton's position on the map and it's actually totally sheltered from the east. It actually faces west and would be totally sheltered from most if not all North Sea Storms.
The power of Mother nature is truly magnificent! Thank you for sharing with us firstly, beautiful Whitby, and this incredible video.
Impressive how many people are willing to risk their cars, kids and dogs. Enjoyed watching it while panicking at every dog being dragged through 😂
I've visited here many times but have never seen the high tide like this. Fabulous footage. Thanks! 😊
Wow, I couldn't stand outside like that, so happy watching it on my phone 🌊🌊🌊 xx
The sheer power of these waves is breath-taking!!! You can see why coastlines are being eroded so much, with a pounding like this!!!
Great filming mate. I'm surprised they don't shut that stretch of road when the conditions are like this.
Great. Video but scary with people taking risks
Absolutely incredible 🎉🎉🎉Thank you so much for sharing 💫
Thankyou so much for watching.
I've been going to Sandsend for 40+ years & was there 3 weeks ago . Thanks for the footage

We love Sandsend and visit often. . Never seen it like this though! Thank you for capturing this moment and sharing it. Fantastic footage.
Love this. I was up the coast at Robin Hood's Bay yesterday and the surge was coming right up the street!
I wished I had seen that. I keep forgetting to go to bay when its rough.
@@thewhitbyphotographer I got taken by surprise by a wave, pretty amusing to all 😂 proper crowd out watching it all
@@MrWhitby Lovely village. Hopefully get back there soon.

That noise when the waves hit the wall is quite intense. Even louder if you're down there as the sound bounces back off the cliffs behind you.
@@thewhitbyphotographer Ill take your word for it mate...............;)
I could watch this for hours. Apart from the eejits standing too close or letting their children/dogs do it. The sea is magnificent, thank you 👌
Great footage .
Surfs up glenn.
Wow great catch 😮
Wow !!!! Stunning video !!
Thankyou Amanda
Awesome. Thank you for filming
Amazing footage. Wish i was there
What a great video , such an angry sea.
That was absolutely awesome!! I wonder did those anglers catch anything😮
Lol I doubt it. Im sure its often the case that people just really dont like thier wives so they go stand somewhere cold to get some peace.
@@thewhitbyphotographer LOL really fishy!!
Beatiful 😍🌹thanks you 👏👏👏
Amazing footage, 🌊🌊🌊
great footage .... but better still allowing us to enjoy it without constant dialogue ... cheers from Cornwall.
Looks like you've filmed a pair of fulmar on the cliffs.
aren't they lovely. Albatross family I believe
Holy carp! I thought they might have closed the road for high tide.
I think they shut the road last time it was like this recently. Don’t they normally shut it?
WoW .😮
Really weird as we were at Hunstanton,Norfolk on same day ,similar time also on East Coast and the sea was like a mill pond!

What rod was the rod tip from Glenn? Looks like a century 🤷
A spring tide in winter, whatever next?
A winter tide in spring ?
Woowwooo
It's to do with the MOON this High Tide.
all tides are to do with the moon.
Sea water is very corrosive so all the drivers who encountered sea water can expect their pride and joy to be rusting as we speak.
People always tell me this, yet Ive lived by and driven near the sea my entire life and never had a car rust problem.
@@thewhitbyphotographer You are very lucky but if I were you I would check the brake assembly on your vehicle !
@@AnthonyTobyEllenor-pi4jq My Mechanic checks everything on my car twice a year. Never reported an issue beyond normal wear and tear in 40 years.
@@thewhitbyphotographer Good for you ! most car owners never bother to have their cars checked for corrosion !
Them police I hated them
She wasn't very nice thats for sure. They always seem to have an attitude that they know best, despite not actually knowing best.
