    Impressive how many people are willing to risk their cars, kids and dogs. Enjoyed watching it while panicking at every dog being dragged through 😂

    The sheer power of these waves is breath-taking!!! You can see why coastlines are being eroded so much, with a pounding like this!!!

    15:05...........My heart skipped a beat when I saw those 2 small kids by the slipway. One wrong wave direction and not good.....................I was walking the dog along the west cliff and looked like the waves were possibly the biggest ive ever seen yesterday. You could feel them underfoot, slamming into the sea wall/promenade.

    • @thewhitbyphotographer
      @thewhitbyphotographer  3 месяца назад +2

      That noise when the waves hit the wall is quite intense. Even louder if you're down there as the sound bounces back off the cliffs behind you.

    Really weird as we were at Hunstanton,Norfolk on same day ,similar time also on East Coast and the sea was like a mill pond!

    • @thewhitbyphotographer
      @thewhitbyphotographer  3 месяца назад

      Two possibilities. Hunstanton is sheltered from this swell direction ? or with it being easterly and the swell coming long distance off Denmark, Hunstanton was below the direct line of the swell

    • @thewhitbyphotographer
      @thewhitbyphotographer  3 месяца назад

      I just check Hunstanton's position on the map and it's actually totally sheltered from the east. It actually faces west and would be totally sheltered from most if not all North Sea Storms.

    Sea water is very corrosive so all the drivers who encountered sea water can expect their pride and joy to be rusting as we speak.
