I don’t think he was cocky and took Usyk very seriously and fought a great fight. I believe Fury’s ultimate problem is all the time he missed being semi retired and then fighting an exhibition bout against Ngannou where he came in fat and out of shape. So technically he was out of shape and out of the game for years and tried to get in shape quick and beat the best. It didn’t work out. Fury still fought well though.

FUN FACT: Its arguable the best boxer in the history of the Rocky movies was Burt Young (Paulie). Joined the Marines as a kid (16) and was knocking out grown azz bigger adults. Lost once in 20+ fights. Unbeaten as a pro. Cus D'Amato took him on. Had the pleasure of bumping into him in Vegas years back. Humble AF. Told me he "put the gloves on a couple times as a kid" or something like that. Never said he was knocking out bigger grown azz Marines at an age when i was happy getting to 2nd base. R.I.P. to him and Carl Weathers. We lost 2 great ones, but they'll live on in our hearts.

Fury is a saw loser, instead of showing some respect after the fight he says that the judges only picked usyk because his country is at war.. anyone with a bit of boxing knowledge, saw that he was outclassed for 8 rounds and only won 4 rounds those judges are bent for thinking it was only 1-2 rounds between both men, this loss will make fury better in the ring and a better person in general he has no other option but to accept he isn't the best at the moment, The rematch will be interesting to say the least

It should have been Uysk KO if the ref dont step in. Fury has no place to complain from because had the ref not saved him from gettinh hit after he ran out of space to stumble, he was getting KO'd. That was cool though. Fury was basically out on his feet but still defending. He couldnt pick up his arms to defend himself, but he still had enough wherewithal through a tiny field of vision, to lean his head away and take small steps. Hillarious. Great fight though. Fury had moments.

Well it’s cause they already set a date for the rematch to happen before the first fight even happened, seeming to ignore the fact there’s a fighter that was supposed to fight for the ibf after fury.
@@myklo4269 IBF doesn't believe in rematch clauses, so Usyk has to fight his mandatory next or he's stripped. It's the only organisation to do so and it has to be respected for that. Rematch clauses are a shame, if Usyk has one for the following rematch and lose, it will be 3 years of Fury vs Usyk with no one getting a tittle shot before late 2025 or even 2026...
