I love how Roland knew the 90s were coming when they released the JD800 but still were stuck in the past. I'm def with them. Hold onto the 80s as long as possible.
Thanks, very helpful indeed. I've only just received mine and I'm excited to explore this beast of a synth. I feel the PDF comment so much, was bummed when I saw that they've only made the manual available in an HTML version 😕
FYI not that its important - "..made in '81 to '83.." add 10 more years to your dates. JD-800 was made in the 90's. This synth was a digital 90's wink and a nod to 70-80's synths.
Been wanting to hear anything other than lame 90s pop music pads on one of these! Thanks for your creative demo, you've renewed my interest, great job!
Nice vid. It’s. The third. .. and last boutique…. I hope 🤞(, I’m fifty years old. … thease are great. I had mates years ago with machines they got threw whatever.. worth thousands.. I was always interested in using them but it was always party style gatherings…. I love Roland stuff … and my dog 🐶

This is a super helpful video, thank you so much. I've got one of these beauties on its way to me now and I am so excited.

Excellent presentation so mine will arrive tomorrow. Should be a fine companion to my SE-02, TR-08, JU-06A and Jupiter-80.

He definitely meant 91 to 93 lol. Mistakes happen.
Should be 91 to 96, according to Wikipedia. The Jupiter 8 was produced 81 to 85 though, maybe mixed them up?
Just picked up one of these, some good tips!

Thank you.
I'll second that PDF request!
Can you save the patches/sounds that you create, to use at some later date - is there a dedicated memory for this?
this is an electro monster too for shizzle
I picked up a few tricks from this. Thanks!

Can you set the master tuning on 432hz?
Yes You Can:
415.3-466.2 (Hz) Adjusts the overall tuning.
The value shown is the frequency of the A4 key (middle A on a
piano keyboard).
@@Noisegate Thank you very much, appreciated 👍🏻

It's not a great start of the history lesson when you are a decade off...
It's a forgivable mistake. It came out in the 90s but it sure sounded like the 80s. 😀
I dislike most drum machines, especially when they sound like a chimpanzee beating on a pipe.
sounds like you could use a cranial recombobulation dawg ok now
Waaaaaaaayyyto much talking !!
