    Excellent video giving the historical and cultural background of the play. I saw the play the other night @ Yale Rep and enjoyed it. It's running at the theater until October 29, 2022 👍

    This films is wild. became a favorite. The drama does bring back old memories

    Interesting historical background, but I felt remote to the play or the dynamics in the play. I also would not say the veneer begins to crack. It is cracked wide open almost immediately in the play and the crack just becomes wider and more pronounced.

    Reaches a bit, but this analysis sounds like George wants Martha to be “woke” to reality, even though she resists. And like today, accepting that the idea of a perfect nation like a perfect child was an illusion means having to swallow a very bitter pill - and the most resistant are afraid of truth as they would be the big bad wolf.
