So glad to see all the ducklings lived “happily ever after” snuggling-up to Mummy duck to keep warm. Phew!

Yeah, Fiona, I was pretty worried for a while but the mother did a marvelous job in protecting all of those ducklings. Marvelous creatures, those Mamas!

one duckling was in trouble from the start, i knew it from the distress chirp.. comfortable ducklings near their mom dont cry like that..maybe it was stuck somewhere far

Hi Ralte and thanks for your comment. I also noticed one of the ducklings was in distress. It indeed had a cry of distress but with time, that cry abated. It seemed to have a more normal call by the end of the video sequence.

Yes, Elva, all 12 ducklings survived the attack by the Canada Goose, thanks to the protection offered by the hen!

Mallard ducklings are amazing little birds and I love the way their mothers are so protective of them. I also love their waterproof down some of which they get from their mother.

Hi Matt. You have my permission to use the Mallard Ducklings clip in your non-commercial indie short film. I do ask that you credit me and my RUclips channel preferably in the frames of the clips as they appear in your video. I would ask that the credit language be as follows: Copyright © Lewis Scharpf. I am always interested in seeing to indies so if you will, please send me a link to your video when available to view. Thanks for your interest and good luck with your video.

@@Lejun40 Thank you Lewis. I cannot credit you during the shot but rather in the end credits. As you can imagine that may be slightly distracting haha. Let me know if that is OK. WIll be happy to send a link when finished. Thanks again for replying! -Matt
