This is the first review that I've seen on the 12429. Very cool how it makes it's way over the big rocks. The seats are real cool and the light bar is sick looking. Thanks for sharing.
I have the wltoys 12429 (brushed motor) and the 124016 V2 (brushless motor) and I must say that I enjoy the 12429 much more, it is slower but much more fun to drive, it is considerably larger than the 124016 which gives it an imposing appearance, its suspension and width are great since even when you run it, it hits very little. Got the one with green wheels, Storm I think it's called. A tough car. I don't get it out enough because I've got other stuff. I may give it to a mate who has four kids, as it may last them a little while hopefully. ☺. Nice one John.
I have the feiyue brushless version of this, and absolutely love it! It one of my favorites! It doesn’t handle the best with the solid rear axle, but all I got to do is slow down going in the turns😜🤪! It’s a great multi purpose rig. That white one from WLTOYS is super nice looking! I live in the states,and I bought this one back in 2019 on the Wal-Mart website for $75 plus shipping. I checked a lot of different websites and got the best deal from Wal-Mart. I'm happy I got it for $75,if I paid twice as much I would have been a little disappointed but I am glad it is in my collection. I really do like this rc car but I also like the deal I got on it too

when I saw this area I was reminded about the comment on the 144010. This is exactly not the terrain for the 144010 but exactly the terrain for 12429 and also 12428. the 12429 could use more speed of a brushless motor to be a cool cheap rock bouncer ala the axial ryft.
That looks like an updated 12427, but I think it looks much nicer! The white body looks really clean, and if it's a durable as the 12427, it'll last! 😎👍🏻 Definitely needs oil shocks, though!! 😉👍🏻
As you know I got the same chassis from Amewi with a brushed motor but I’ve put a 3800kv brushless motor in it oilshoks and some more. Way to fast with 60kph 😅. Now I turned the speed down and turned it in to a crawler and that is what it’s made for. Next step is a proper esc with a handbrake. If you want, you can see some videos on my RUclips channel. Cute starter rock buggy but crawler?... but I must say ..if it gets people into the hobby 👍 .. but ..there's a lot of sweet little rock crawlers for that price with real shocks and alot better crawler capability ...like you said.. cute on the shelf or good for a beginner but at a better price ... I'm sure jealous of the veiw ✌😎👍
Yes it can be bought for around 100 usd and at that price it's great. It does seem like it's neither a rock crawler or buggy but a mix of the two. There lies the problem. It does neither great unfortunately. But I think if I threw a brushless motor in it that it could liven it up a bit. Yes the views around here are amazing. 😉👌
Bought it in Europe for 75 Euros… great car for my son. Not really a good crawler. It is just a basher. Can handle a lot of beating. Do not like the weak steering servo though…

Great car! But honestly, it's nothing compared to the danchee ridgerock. Not even comparable for crawling. Before the ridgerocks existence.... this car was awesome but now it's collecting dust 😢.
