★★ THIS IS A SPOILER FREE CHANNEL - Please only make comments about the current film that I have watched. ★★
Any little detail about the other films, can be a spoiler. ★ A friendly reminder to all commenters. ★
Keanu Reeves as John Wick is a match made in heaven.
I showed my mom this movie a few weeks ago. She’d never seen it or heard about it. And the way I described it was “the perfect action film” because it’s got no fat on it. You know right away what the protagonist is feeling. And then by the 15 minute mark, we are so invested and with him that we are totally behind anything and everything he’s going to do next. She was shocked and hated the dog dying. But she understood at that point, that no matter what he does to those people, it’s totally justified. After that, she binge watched the other 2 movies that day. She absolutely LOVES these movies now.
I basically had the same journey into this film as your mum. 😆 Thanks for watching.
Seeing John Wick for the first time is something special. You're in for a wild ride!
“This life follows you. We are cursed, you and I.” Such a powerful line.
Yes, exactly. 😁 That line is in my opinion very encapsulating of the entire character of John Wick.
Favorite lines in the movie.
"You ahh... workin again?" And
"HE DIDN'T HEAR A F***ING WORD I JUST SAID!"
Completely agree... but also the way John growls the line: "Your son took that from me!".. Badass.
One of the best action movies ever made, hands down!
the general rule of thumb is if you dont bother John, he won't bother you. if you dont hurt John, he won't hurt you. He let Francis go because Francis legit never did anything against him. Viggo made the mistake of not telling his son about John, thinking arrogantly that he'd never have to. lots of lessons get learned in this franchise!
Exactly... well said. There are so many layers to this world in the film and the main character himself.
Francis also told John how many bodyguards were in the club. The whole "losing weight" was actually code
Well sure... ifyou're Francis, you get to walk away. But what about the couple dozen guys working security at that nightclub? Makes you wonder whether there are any widows sitting home with kids, never knowing that their husbands died over a dog that had nothing to do with them.
@@Mr.Ekshin The life of a henchman to a mob boss is hard. 😆
I think part of why the action, stunts, and choreography of these movies is so good is because the director Chad Stahelski was a stuntman before he started directing
9:36 Trivia: The actor that played the guy that “killed” the puppy, actually had a very hard time filming that scene and cried while holding the puppy for quite some time.
Interesting to know.
If you like part 1, you're gonna absolutely love 2 and 3. The John Wick movies are genuinely some of the best movies I've ever watched.
4 was worth watching, too... the theatre was nice RARE treat for that one...
It goes 1, 2, 4, 3. For me.
@@robertcampomizzi7988 Oh yeah absolutely, 4 was amazing to see in theaters. I went back again twice to see it and it was just as good.
@@CMDRZero01 I don't even think I could rate them, they're all cinematic masterpieces to me.
@zklpr I agree. It just that of those masterful films 3 felt the weakest, but I'd still happily watch it again... for the 8th time.
Me watching this for the first time, seeing him happy about the dog and knowing whats coming😂😂😂. He isnt readyyyyyyy!
It hurt seeing it...
Literally the best line in ALL of John Wick imo... "He's the one you sent to KILL the fkn boogeyman" those 10 words send chills up my spine EVERY time i hear it
It's one of the best. So many awesome lines. 👍
Towards the end of this movie when he guides Vigo's blade into his own body , he guides the knife to the spot where he was already wounded. So he already knew it was a relatively safe place to take the blade and not worry too much about damaging vital organs. So basically just a flesh wound. That's what allowed him to break vigos arm. And the reason he just walks away leaving Vigo sitting there with a blade in his shoulder. Is that is a death wound. In between your collarbone and the back side of your shoulder rib cage area if you come down from the top like he did it's a straight shot down just a few inches and you're in one of the major blood pathways. Aorta's. The moment the blade is removed he's dead within seconds.
Thanks for the comment.
Yes, I have realized afterwards, that Viggo died sitting there.
But when I saw the film, I thought maybe he was still alive. I was mistaken.
@@NerdyWatchTV no worries 😉 just thought you might find it interesting to know that there is a major blood vessel just a couple inches below your collarbone. Most people know of the major arteries in the neck but that is why occasionally you'll see in movies somebody get stabbed right through there and die. It's a not too commonly known area to be wounded.
Actually it's the Carotid Artery. The Aorta is in the heart. I understand where you were going though.
In the bonus features for#1, it’s mentioned that even though the character John Wick is frightening and could be considered evil, the actor, Keanu Reeves, is not seen that way. You actually have empathy for him-never disgust. Not many actors evoke that
If you noticed, they were speaking in code. Dinner reservation for 12, was how many bodies needed to be cleaned up. When John asked Francis how much weight he lost and Francis replied over 60 kg, which actually meant how many guards were inside. The concierge asked John if he needed to make a dinner reservation when he was dealing with Perkins. Just some fun little facts.
Yes, I did notice the reservation thing... It's a cool detail. 👍
I loved how you appreciated the actors' performances. Keanu, Dafoe, they're all great.
Hands down, this film has stellar performances from all of the cast.
I can't find a flaw in any of the character motivations. Simply a well put together story.
Keanu is now classed as the best weapons trained actor in Hollywood. You should watch his training videos for John Wick., he is amazing.
Keanu deserves all the fantastic comments flowing his way.
Such a badass on screen and humble in reality. 😎
I admire the dedication he has as an actor.
the amount of actor I recognised in this film is insane
"this is his origin story "
xd , its more like his resurgence story
Oh yeah... I found that out in a GREAT way. 😝 Baba Yaga!
I remember my first time watching John Wick, too. What an experience!
John Wick was a great movie🔥💯 nice review
Thanks, mate. 👍 More coming soon.
Your reaction to Theon Greyjoy... I mean Alfie Allen is hilarious!
OMG your reaction at 10:30, priceless.
You like this because: It's well written. It's well cast. It's well acted. It's well choreographed.
Damn right...
"You wanker" lmao had good giggle
THX for a really good reaction on John Wick l .. some time is its better to not know anything about John Wick..And let the movie traveling you forward..hope you jump on the rest of John Wick 👍🏼👍🏼🇸🇪👍🏼🇸🇪👍🏼👍🏼
Thanks, mate.
Yes... I've jumped into this John Wick universe head first. I can't stop watching now. 😜
You're so right about Willem Dafoe. He is really underappreciated.
Human food isn't always dog food. Dogs can die from eating grapes, raisins, chocolate, or onions.
Interesting....
Your first reaction video is a success! Keep um comin
Your commentary was pretty entertaining hehe
I'm so glad you watched John Wick for the first time! It's such a great movie.
Yeah... I have started a journey into an awesome world in these films.
Absolutely stunning!🙁🙁
without spoiling anything.there has to be a 2nd part..he still misses his car ;)
I can't wait to see your reaction to John Wick 2 and 3.
Just came across your reaction, enjoyed it. Cheers friend
Thanks for watching. Stay tuned for more reviews soon. 😀
Can't wait for more 👍
Hes the one you send to kill the Boogeyman!!!!!
great video
One thing you may not notice is all the dogs are barking at him EXCEPT for the dog he takes
Awww, so cute
Joe Rogan interviewed the director when nbr 4 came put. Explain alot behind the scenes and all the cameos....cool
Michael Nyquist is the swedish actor who has passed away but i could be messing it up
Such a great actor ❤️ RIP
the police scene...one old school thing long forgotten.. if the copper takes off hat...its not official anymore... just talking to you...
Nice detail in a dark comedic moment.
The fight scenes are so good because they are shot wide (old school) so you can see everything. When this was mentioned I went back to a recent action movie and the difference. You missed nothing
He was never Willam Dafoe, he was Willam Dafriend
😂😂 True...
the actor's name is Michael Nyqvist. RIP
He was a legend...
Watch the honest trailer of john wick chapter 1, and oh yeah the movie Nobody from the same director which was born out of the john wick saga, different universe but the concept and all, you'll love it too hehehe
Thanks for the recommendation.
I looked it up and it's the same writer Derek Kolstad for 'Nobody'. Awesome, will definitely check that out. 👍
If you don't like violence, you won't like number 2 or 3. It only gets more and more brutal with each sequel. I take it that it's the vengeance that you like, not necessarily the violence itself.
Usually I'm not into violence. But this film is so well made, that it became an exception. I just got pulled in by the story and visuals.
@@NerdyWatchTV the director of this film was Keanu's stunt double and stunt director from the Matrix films. that's how you got insane choreo, long shots, no filler, and beautiful visuals.
actually.. its NOT just about the car or dog**JOHN WICK swear at the hooligan in Russian language**
....that's what pissed the hooligan off......
you have to watch #JW4 at the theater for better movie experience..
Yes true. Iosef's fragile little ego is hurt when John talks back to him in Russian.
Like I said... he is probably compensating for something missing. 😂😂
The other movies are not prequels the first 3 are 1 long movie picking up right where previous one stopped. First 3 take place In about a 2 week span while 4th has a little time since nbr 3
Please be aware of spoilers and what you say!
Next time only comment about the current film, that I have just seen... Revealing the timeframe of the next films, and the fact that they are not prequels IS A SPOILER !!
Great reaction. Welcome to the dark side. Perhaps the violence doesn't bother you because it isn't really the point of the story. The story is about a man seeking redemption but no matter how hard he tries everyone insists on pulling him back into the life he led before. I do strongly recommend that you watch number two and number three. I haven't seen the fourth movie yet so I can't speak to it, but the first three movies are very much like chapters in a book. If you don't watch all of them you miss the majority of the story.
I will watch all the films in the franchise. 🎥
Excited for the next one.
Great movie to start your channel with. What other movies/shows are you currently planning to cover?
Also, if you are looking for more content to pad the channel, you could watch the Honest Trailer, and the Pitch Meeting to this.... but warning if you watch Pitch Meeting (cant remember it HT has anything) at the very end, they do allude to a casting decision in the 2nd one.
Cheers, mate 👍
Thanks for the heads up...So yes, I do tend to stick to only the films themselves. Just to avoid any spoilers from other media and content.
Stay tuned for an update on the films and series I will cover.
You had no idea what you were getting into with John Wick! Enjoy the second and third part too!
Thanks. Sure didn't expect this. But it's quite unique for a action film.
@@NerdyWatchTV 2 makes one look a bit weak, TBH
When are you watching the second one????
I'm sick at the moment... that's why the next video is a little delayed. 😓 I will watch and upload the next video this month.
Viggo died.John stabed him in jugular vein.
The kennel at the is qt a shipping port. Making it an animal quarantine. For animals ent3ring the US.
This is a spoiler free channel... as I said in the video.
Please be aware of that the next time you leave a comment.
Viggo looked alive when we left him at the end... But now you have just spoiled me on that fact for certain. Not cool.
@@NerdyWatchTV That's not any kind of spoiler, Viggo died right there on screen.
@@BunBun299 Okay... I watched the scene again, and Viggo does become stiff and stops moving... So yes, true that he dies. 😲 👍
The first time I watched, it looked to me like it was open to interpretation, because Viggo never closes his eyes.
Michael Nyqvist did a fantastic job in this role. 💕 R.I.P
I wish all you reactors would stop trying to find out from where you know that actor and that actor, a movie is meant to be watched as it is, with it's characters... the actors are relevant before and after you experience the movie, not during it...
True... but I'm also the curious type.
Even if I didn't say it out loud, I would still think it.
Just wait until you meet the Bowery King in the next movie. Laurence Fishburne kills it!
Mate... spoilers! 😒 Please be aware next time.
