      - Edit the movie with partial % of transparency (and/or text)
      - Flip the movie scene from Right to Left.
      - Keep your reaction on full screen (If the scenes of the movie take up less space on the screen and are edited, they can avoid the 4lg0rithm much easier)
      AUDIO EDITION :
      - Put the volume of the movie lower than the volume of your microphone(not too low). (Statics, White noise & your comments , make little distortion to the audio)
      - Record the audio of your reaction separately from the audio of the movie, that way you can mute/edit the audio/image of the movie without muting/editing the audio/image of your reaction.

I did love your reaction. This is a pretty good ghost story. Horror is one of my favorite genres and I'd like to give you a small list of what I think are the best movies in the genre. I hope you'll find time to eventually react to a few.
      "The Omen"
      "Magic"
      "John Carpenter's The Fog"
      "The Changeling"
      "Rosemary's Baby"
These are all, not only good horrors, but also really good movies, and are frequently overlooked in the reaction world. Most reactors cover:
      "The Shining"
      "The Exorcist"
      "Halloween"
      "Carrie"
      "The Conjuring"
All among the best horrors as well, but I actually think my first list is as good, if not better, than the second. Continued success to your channel. You are a joy to watch movies with!

@ thank you for the recommendations!!! The Shining and the exorcist are 2 of my favourite movies ever, The shining being my number 1 movie of all time! I plan to do reactions of rewatching those movies to celebrate hitting milestones ! Love this reaction! I love the little details in this film as well... Anne said to Nicholas to "stop breathing like that" and Grace at the dinner table told Anne to "stop breathing" (Grace smothered them both with a pillow). And Grace kept getting migraines (she shot herself in the head). Notice too that when Grace first picked up the gun to search the house, she hesitated as if a memory was on the verge of returning, but she dismissed it. Anyway... Brilliant reaction video! Love it. :)

Another factor regarding photographing the dead. These people had likely never been photographed, so death was the last chance to preserve a memory of them.

Anne: _"They're viewing the house."_ When I first watched the film, that sentence struck me as peculiar, but I didn't realise that it was a pretty big clue to what was actually going on. 😄Thanks for checking out this excellent film!

15:05 About that: The dead were actually better subjects of photography than the living because the dead were better at remaining perfectly still for the duration of time needed for older, long-exposure cameras to capture a crisp image. Perhaps lay people unfamiliar with the science of photography noticed that pictures of the dead were more perfect than those of the living and somehow developed the notion that photographs are somehow able to capture the true essence of a person when they're dead. Or maybe the practice just developed because of the fact that a photo of a dead relative tended to be a clearer and more accurate likeness of them than any they took when alive. So photographing them when dead was like a last best opportunity to get the best photo of them to remember them by. With the advent of more advanced high speed cameras there was little discernible difference in clarity between photos of the living and the dead, do there was no longer a reason to photograph the dead to get the best image quality.

She was so depressed her husband went to war the servants up and left and she went mad. She said it herself “they knew I couldn’t leave the house.”

the mom did what she did out of pure panic and desperatiion. after the war the island was abandoned for a period of time. the mom was left all alone with 2 sick children and because of the kids' illness they couldn't survive or leave the island without help. the island was abandoned, they couldn't leave, the mom could no longer care for the kids on her own. so, like all victims of war, she felt alone, abandoned, hopless and desperate. the only way out was suicide. but she couldn't abandon her kids and leave them alive. they'd die slow, horrible deaths. so she took them with her. hopelessness and desperation can lead people to do crazy things! things we'd never dream of doing under "normal" circumstances. thanks for the video.

One of the few movies with such a great twist ending. I think I did suspect they might be ghosts somewhere near the middle of the movie, but it was one of many theories, so it still mostly caught me by surprise. I guess I won't mention other movies with as good twist endings because that would spoil them. ;)

That shriek that you hear from the mother at the very start of the film is when she had realized she'd smothered them.
She had to keep them locked up in the dark because they were allergic to light. That's actually a real albeit very rare condition, as strange as it sounds. You notice as soon as she realized the children weren't harmed by the light anymore, she let them bask in it.

Great reaction to a wonderful movie. The only thing I noticed as an issue is that I couldn't always hear Marley over the volume of the movie. When editing, maybe either adjust the volume or "pause" the movie so we can hear the commentary better. x

I think this is one of the best supernatural movies ever. First credit goes to Alejandro Amanabar. I don’t know whether anyone since Chaplin has pulled off such a great feat as writing, directing, and composing the score of a film in which all three elements are outstanding. Even the title credits at the beginning are imaginative and wonderfully drawn. The performances were all first rate: Kidmon was Oscar-worthy, and the children were among the best I’ve ever seen. Unfortunately, the prejudice against horror movies prevented this from getting the critical recognition it deserves.
This is often compared to “The Sixth Sense,” which is silly, I think. They are very different movies, and besides, the idea of a story from the ghost’s point of view has been done several times over the past century (I wrote one myself about 45 years ago, in which the humans were the monsters and the ghosts were kindly).

    • @MFuria-os7ln

I agree with you. The sixth sense is so moving, so sad, so full of feeling, it goes to my heart. The others is a perfect movie that just haunts me with its atmosphere and goes to my brain. Very, very different!
