Thanks you!
Hi Ky...Ky, I'm so sorry, you worked so hard to build the other bridge, I hope this one lasts a very long time.🤗❤❤❤
It's okay, building a bridge is an extremely difficult and labor-intensive job. I also hope that this new bridge will be sustainable and serve your travel needs well. Wishing you all the best and thank you for sharing this journey with me.
Wishing you success and happiness! 🤗❤
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤women worker❤❤❤❤❤❤
your problem was the vertical stick you put in the bridge. they keep all small plants and block water flow
flood water is so scary
Great work miss gorgeous thanks ❤️🌹❤️
Thank you very much! Wish you have a great day! ❤️❤️
Hello. I find your bridge very impressive, the old bridge you built was made of bamboo and your new bridge seems to be built more solidly. I wish you good health.
Hello! Thank you very much for the compliment. I'm glad to hear that you are impressed with the new bridge. Improving from the old bamboo bridge to a new, more sturdy bridge is a big step forward.

👏👏👏👏👏👏👍👍👍👍👍
Bad luck. Hard work and money floating down the creek. At least you have a better understanding of the height of the next flood waters.
Good luck with this current rebuild.
You know,🤓 I am beginning to think that any serious bridge should only be constructed AFTER building a rope bridge UPSTREAM of the regular bridge. It should be HIGH enough above the river & STRONG enough to survive ANY flood, and capable of supporting at least 2 people at the SAME time (for instance a wife carrying her injured husband).
Ty in this video you see where the floods high water mark is near your fishpond I would build a stopbank right along the river bank pass your new bridge and so that in future floods your landed is protected from the floodwaters this is the problem when you build on the flats when all is good then you have the heavy rains which brings the floods so you must think how do I stop the water from destroying my land and house here in New Zealand we build stopbanks that way we are protecting our lands
Thank you very much for the advice! Building berms is a great idea to protect land and prevent floodwater damage. I will consider protecting the fish pond and bridge area better. Sharing from experiences in New Zealand is very useful! 😊
(16:32) The upstream tree shields both pillars. That is good.😀
*BUT!* If the tree is uprooted by the raging waters, then NOTHING can prevent those pillars from going down as well.☹
So increasing the strength of the footings of the pillars beyond what you have done now would be wasted.🤐
How is the situation on the far side of the river?🤔
The 3 major types of bridges that will work well in your situation are:🤓
1: A suspension bridge. This requires VERY STRONG footings at both outer ends of the bridge.
2: A bridge with VERY STRONG spans. Either by doubling the HEIGHT of the long steel spans (2 beams with welds every 20-30cm) OR by integrating the railings with the beams (using *diagonal* placed posts welded or bolted to the railings).
3: A VERY HIGH rope bridge. This would be a good idea as an emergency bridge located UPSTREAM from the main bridge.
Such hard work went into building this bridge… so sorry it was destroyed by the flood… 😢

(32:08) Ky, my heart breaks when I see how much effort people put into building a bridge. And then see it go downriver in the next big flood. So I'm glad you're building your new bridge stronger.
But in an ideal world (which ours is NOT), the bridge itself would be HIGHER than the road you're climbing towards (so that floating trees won't hit the bridge).
I doubt you'd build the center STILL HIGHER at this stage. So I'd recommend anchoring 1 end of that span REALLY SOLIDLY to a concrete pillar. But ONLY on its DOWNRIVER edge. So IF that section of the bridge comes loose, it will just rotate and NOT wash away.
Thank you for sharing your concerns and valuable advice about bridge construction. It is true that building bridges in flood-prone areas is a big challenge, and ensuring the bridge is sturdy and safe is extremely important. I will carefully consider all factors and try to implement the The best way to ensure bridges are built firmly and safely. Thank you very much for sharing your experience and interest!
@@quanthiky-peacefullife3868 Rất hoan nghênh!
Một lưu ý bên lề.🥰
Cây cầu thép bắc qua con sông chảy qua thị trấn của chúng tôi cao hơn mực nước bình thường khoảng 15m. Tuy nhiên, trong 20 năm qua, mực nước đã dâng lên ít nhất 4 lần, chỉ cách cây cầu 3m...🤔☹
You are very welcome! 🥰
A side note. The steel bridge over the river running through our town is about 15m above normal water-level. Yet in the past 20 years the water-level has risen at least 4 times to within 3m of the bridge...🤔☹
Thank you for sharing your ideas. I will accept

Hello from Canada 🇨🇦 you don't build a bridge made off thos tiny bamboo.you need to make a concrete base on the middle of the bridge then put those steel columns. She's doing wrong again
Hello from Canada 🇨🇦!
Thank you for comment. Building a bridge is a complex undertaking and requires engineering and safety knowledge and experience. Using concrete and steel columns is a good idea to increase the durability and safety of the bridge. If you have additional suggestions or experience about bridge construction, we hope you will share so everyone can learn and improve their projects. Have a good day!
Placing ANY kind of pillars in the middle of a raging stream with floating trees crashing into them is probably NOT a good idea. EXTRA HEIGHT for sufficient clearance is better. Diagonal cross-braces between each pair of columns will help them survive trees crashing into them. NOTHING should hinder the free passage of water & debris.
Note please that a bamboo bridge designed to withstand the encountered stresses WILL work just as well as a bridge of concrete & steel.
As you say, Kỳ, building a bridge is a complex undertaking and requires engineering & safety knowledge & experience. *MY* experience & knowledge are theoretical & based on how existing bridges respond to the stresses that they are subjected to.
How do you put a concrete base for a pillar in the middle of a flowing river with basic hand tool and by a woman on her own. Give her a break from the criticism.
@@kymrollison5257 Indeed. Instead, provide tips for *improvements*. Such as using welded/screwed risers between steel railings & base girder to strengthen a span's walkway. Or diagonal cross-braces between each pair of cement columns to strengthen them against the raging current during a flood.
PS: Use a cofferdam to make the suggested base.
PPS: Whether a woman or a man makes no difference.
