I keeo getting a Warning when I try and turn on send text message in SMS Make's settings

Yep it does that, like all the time, hasn't stopped me yet 💪(It's android being annoying)
Just make sure your preferred SIM slot is correct in the settings and your good to go

Problem is, the android app is unstable and will not work at times..

There's 2 things I'd check one is the preferred SIM slot you have set
The second is test it on a different phone
I noticed when testing on your own phone the messages had a habit of not showing
But when testing on another phone it worked everytime

Are you able to send these messages to Iphone?
