This got me thinking, and since I went back and started play AC1 again this video is rather ironic to find in my list. Somebody farther down in these comments said that the "Assassins are Ubisoft." What if that Ubisoft created the AC series to reveal to the public that the order/wars exist to find recruits for the Assassins? They had to factor in that some people would take their love for the series a little too far. It's the perfect way to be in the modern age but hide in plain sight. After all the second tenet is "Be discreet;Blend with the crowd." 😎😉😏

Well we can all agree that the Templar Order did exist, but not sure about the assassins. Monguls conquered half the world at that time and weren't defeated in a battle till the Battle of the Eye of Goliath. Before that Mongolians pretty much just slaughtered everyone in their paths, Genghis Khan wiped out entire cultures and practically erased them from history, so yeah I don't think the assassins survived the onslaught, but historic facts do say some sort of an order existed in Syria during the 14-1500s.

I don't really have any recourses this is just the stuff I've learned in AP ancient history class. We spent 3 weeks on the Mongols because it's my teacher favorite topic. I have 2 note books full of notes about just the mongols. I do agree with you that they slaughtered millions of people. I'm just saying that they aren't completely barbaric like many others believe. They were many different leaders of the mongol's. You have a few great Kahn's, but they are also leaders of different areas. Once the leader of the China area realized the Mongol people were diminishing. He outlawed marriage, and settling down in the Chinese area because the mongols were massively out numbered by the people they conquered. They were only defeated a handful of times. I wanna say the russia area is the only Mongol leader to fall. The rest just slowly disappeared, and blended with the areas/cultures they conquered.
The Assassin's existed, but no hoods, no hidden blades, no fancy parkour shit, no apple of eden and they never made it to the time periods that were in the games (apart from AC1). They also never crossed paths with the knights templar.

ever since I started playing the assassin's creed games and I have played through all of them I get this feeling that ubisoft knows some thing we don't or that or there trying to tell the players of the game something

It wouldn't surprise me. I found out awhile ago a few of my ancestors on my mom's side were Grand Masters of the Assassins, and one was just a foot soldier so to speak. After finding that out, I have been trying to find out all I can about the Order. It's clear though, whether or not they do still exist, that the Assassin Order continued to exist passed 1256.

I think they still are but not like we know it in the game. It's easier to hide in plain sight such as a private military or private security. It's a lot easier to look legit and show where your money is coming from rather than be stuck in the shadows with no way to explain your income. Best positions for an assassin would be private military, prostitute, police, doctor, etc. where you can get people alone for a legitimate reason. The down side though is if someone sees you take them somewhere alone and they show up dead then you can be I.D.ed. As for public assassinations; that's where private security or private military comes in. If you shoot someone you can plant a gun and claim defense or as a private military you are getting paid to go to another country to kill/protect with lethal force. I know I left a book...but in short...I believe they are still around with the original beliefs. Just not how we would expect. (And I don't mean like we expect then to be running around in hoods with hidden blades.)

Obviously, of course, though nowadays, assassins are more like contract killers, hitmen if you will. Like mercenaries, they serve under an organization, at least not any organization under any nationality. It is definitely unclear if there currently exists an assassin organization, though a possibility is definitely not out of the question.
