I will echo the solution provided by an earlier commenter 'Stip Kafle', when importing the excel sheet you will notice a drop down menu in the top left corner titled 'Output type', you must specify the type as column vectors. You will now see that t and u are imported as seperate variables into the workspace and are therefore defined.
Dear Simulink Tutorial your videos are very step-by-step as one wants. I liked it and I learn a lot. But I noticed one thing in this video that brings me some confusion. Ur statements are contradicting. Once u r telling that variable step will not respond to zero crossing and at the same time, u say that fixed step will not respond to zero crossing

+magyarikristof when you reopen the model, you need to import data manually as shown in the video. If you want to avoid that then add the load command for datasheet in callbacks. So every time you open the model the datasheet data is loaded in the workspace

Why input given needs to be column matrix ? Why not row matrix what is the reason behind?
