when you will drag a variable block then, it has one input port(where would you connect that), that's why you need a constant block with value one to validate the variable block.
In the older versions of Matlab the block "Variable Input" is called "Slider Gain", so you are multiplying that input (constant = 1) with a gain (a or b). If the block has an input you need to connect with something, if you connect with 1 (constant) the gain (a or b) will be 1*a = a or 1*b = b.
Awesome explanation from your entire 'MATLAB' channel. shame on you f****** try to explain in this way or simply don't post. I absolutely like this type of explanation, please try in this way or introduce this member for some videos.
let's use 10 blocks to represent one line of code...
Jajaja 😆
The same things i tell to my university teacher everytime ;)
where did you get the variable input. I don't see it anywhere in the library. I even try looking for it on the desktop version
Same problem here
This is a very helpful video. Please where can I find the "variable input" block?

Best teaching i have ever seen👍
nice tutorial but I did not get "variable input block" in Simulink library.
@Obaid Lodin thanks..😊
Thank you for asking
@Obaidullah Lodin Thank you for helping out
@Obaidullah Lodin Thanks!!!!!
@Obaidullah Lodin Thank you very much.
The whole explanation helped me a lot. Way of explanation is appreciable.
good presentation, however, I am having a problem practising the whole exercise because I can't see a variable input block from my Simulink library.
same for me
@@widadchaouch2162 search for (slider gain) you will get the same thing with different name
@@aminecherif4888 it works thank you
@@aminecherif4888 how can connect slider gain to constant block?
Hi, could you please explain why did you add a block with the constant 1 value to your variable input? 8:53

@@priyanshunandan9648 hi... Where can I locate the variable input block?
@@daviddominic8579 I downloaded the VEX library in order to use the variable block. There should be another way as it is a simple equation
How to solve two simultaneous equations?
Why the use of constants before the variables a and b?

Very nice introduction for beginners.
Can't find "Variable Input".
I don't have Simulink Coder installed.
What are the other ways to add a variable?
Me too -.-
Its basically a slider gain, so you can add the slider gain from math operations and change the name
Mee too facing such problem..
simply you can use a constant block ,here also you can change the values for variable(a,b)
Amazing Explanation, Awesome
Thank you this helped a lot
very nice work.
Very helpful, thanks

great!

useless +1
Just use Python and/or modelica. Much better options than this proprietary bullshit.
