Professionals sold off or refused to own this amplifier for its SHEAR LOUD VOLUME PROBLEMS, but it turns out that's just dumb male gossip. I'm glad I don't listen to professional guitarists cause they've proven themselves time after time, decade after decade that they're lying to us OR they have no idea what they're talking about.
I should say that you CANNOT do this type of accurate to the old sounds from other signature artist brands. It just doesn't work with their setups. The 5150 overdrive has this modern ability. But there's a catch. To find sounds like this it helps if you've got experience in tuning various types of amplifiers. You've got to have context to things in life so you can compare and it's through comparison that you get taught stuff that you can't find if you never compare things. Beginners and intermediates and a lot of advanced guitarists can't find stuff like this. If you're good at writing songs then that's what you spent your time learning and you didn't learn this.
