- This video shows you how to hold your baby facing out in the Baby K'tan. Here's a link to the K'tan in the video: amzn.to/2Pu3BXE. I think the Baby K'tan is really comfortable and I babywear every day. Although I have 3 different carriers, I find this one the most comfortable. My baby seems to be very comfortable in it as well.

this position its bad for the baby... he have a sobreestimulation and not its confortable... :/
BE CAREFUL!
I love to carry my child in both stretchy wraps and now where he is too heavy for that, I use a woven wraps. But sorry to say, this video shows non ergonomic correct positions for the baby. The knees must be higher than his bum, in a M position. If the knees are not higher than his bum, he will hang in his croch, which is really bad for their hips on the long run.
If you want to carry your child faced outwards, buy an ergobaby 360 or carry your child on your bag in a wowen wrap, a carrier or an onbuhimo. My son love this, and can see over my shoulders. There is so many options, do not do this, is not healthy for your childs body :-)
Thank you for the advice! I did remake the video to show proper placement :). It's linked to in the video.
Where?
This is not the correct way to do this carry!! The fabric needs to be spread around his bottom from knee to knee so he is seated in a M position. This is really bad for baby's hips having his legs dangling like that
Can you make a video?
Up to how months is the k tan?

What size is that? I got a medium but it feels to large, my baby sits too low. I'm going to wash though and maybe it will shrink? My baby is 8 lbs currently I am 5'3" 150 lbs but I read size of baby don't really matter too much as they get bigger?
This was 6 years ago, but I looked it up on Amazon and the one I have is xs. I'm 5 foot 2 and 120 pounds. It's terrible if it's too big because it pulls your shoulders but as the baby grows you want to have a little extra room.
@@PositivelyMommy yes I definitely wish I got the small now. I'm tempted to just sew a new seam and make the loops smaller myself. Typically I send anything and everything back to Amazon but I'm just so desperate to wear it like NOW. ☹️
@@vcamie8755 these days it could take a month to get from Amazon so I understand your hesitation!
Niceeee
What size did you go for. I'm an 8 on top 34 inch chest but I can't imagine an xs is right for me
I had an XS. I'd go for a small if I were you. You want it to be pretty tight because it's VERY stretchy. It won't be comfortable for you if it's a loose fit.
I had a similar branded one from with my 2 year old daughter and it was great, this one is awesome aswell for my newborn! Just didn't know exactly how to wear it! Thank you very much for the demonstration!
You're welcome, it's so fun to see this cute baby in the video who is now 6 years old! Glad it was useful to you. How do you like the K'tan so far?
What size is your K'tan?
Thanks for this! So much easier than trying to follow the instruction manual.
Not to mention that the waist belt has a pocket! Super convenient!
Thank you so much girl! big help
Thanks for sharing.
Thank you so much for the video, ver helpful .. God bless
Salma Medellin You're welcome! It's nice to meet you and thanks for watching our videos :)
Thank you!!!! Your baby is adorable 😍
Thank you!! 😊
How old is your baby in this video on what was his weight? I'm going to the mountains in April and will have a 5 month old I'm looking for best wrap to wear while hiking through the woods and around Gatlinburg
He's 6-8 months old in this video. That was several years ago so I can't remember exactly :). I would not recommend hiking in this carrier though. It's too hot and would hurt your shoulders. I'd really only use the K'tan in the winter and for short jaunts. For hiking, I'd use a soft structured carrier like an Ergo Ventus. I have a video of it on my channel if you want to check it out. It's really lightweight and supportive for hiking.
Thanks for the demonstration how old is your baby here ?
He was about 4 months old :)
Sorry I reported a comment by mistake sorry again
What weight limits is this position good for? My baby is 22 lbs would this work?
+Peyton's Mommy Sorry for the delay in responding, I was traveling for the last week. I would say 22 lbs would be uncomfortable in the k'tan because it stretches and puts weight on the shoulders and back. I would go with a woven wrap (one that doesn't stretch) or a soft structured carrier (like the Boba) with your baby. Just my opinion though :)
My 4-month old LOVES the adventure position but I have recently noticed her legs turning blueish purple & getting splotchy after only a few minutes. Have you experienced this? What am I doing wrong?
Super late on my response but I have notice the same with my 4 month old. I have tried the Ergo in the adventure position and with in 10 minutes I notice his legs were turning blue/purple in color as well. Did you ever figure out the best way to avoid this from happening? Thank you!
I never figured out what was causing her legs to turn purple. The more I researched, the more information I found about how this position could be potentially harmful to their hips so I stopped carrying her facing out all together. Hope that helps!
+Shanna Mooney
Wow, that does help and I don't usually have him for long periods of time in the adventure position but now will rethink it all together. Thank you for your response
This happened to my baby too!
