Honda Type2 City, Baleno, Ikon, Esteem & Lancer are my fav Gems! This sedans are still stylish and swag! Current ones are half baked under 4mm
I have personally used Honda City Type 1, Esteem and Lancer. Only Baleno missed from the bucket.
Chevrolet cruz looks same....

Just a small observation @15:52 - Mr. Edward mentions the "Auto India" magazine, which you (Asir bro) corrected to Autocar India. I believe he may have actually been talking about Auto India - it was a very popular magazine in the 90s and was launched many years before Autocar India. I was a regular reader in the late 90s and early 2000s.

That German OE alloy is the first Volkswagen Jetta that was launched in India which looks similar to this alloys !! The Baleno is a forgetten car and reminding it really took me to childhood days seeing it flying on the roads !! I request you to get a Chevy Optra Magnum for the next forgotten car episode !!

I'm a ciaz owner, while its not as great as this, i definitely derive pleasure in owning such an underrated good car, naanu ithu vara yen car la passenger ponadilla.
Many people (including some in my family and friends) will call such love as crazy. I also used to admire cars so much, sometimes even standing in the road and watching cars go by..late 90s and 2000s were a great period for sedans.
Baleno has best air conditioning ever. Only let down was mileage due to its power. But this was different maruti. Also the car sidelines reminds opel astra
We had good options at that time like Baleno, Accent, Ikon, Cielo, Lancer, City. Now all are forgotten cars

A very good vehicle..had a pre-owned baleno in 2009 for 15 days before switching it with a pre-owned SX4 2008 December. Migrarted from a esteem to baleno to SX4.

Why would they leave the intake inside the hood?! It just pulls in hot air from the engine bay. I bet he can squeeze out more hp if the air intake gets some fresh air.

Expected a more detailed review but not😢
1. This car has an all independent suspension.
2. Adjustable seatbelt anchorage
3. Flooring the accelerator pedal after 3000rpm makes it rapid fast because at that time maruti didn't provide correct fueling ratios AFR values
4. This car is nothing to to with the esteem as you mentioned it has a same instrument cluster as the esteem, baleno and esteem shouldn't be compared as its entirety a different segment.
5. If you notice in detail this car wouldn't rust as the years pass by it had an advanced anti corossion resistance at that time.

I'm not complaining, but pre preparations for this beast is

Reason for this comment is that this car a legend in INRC championship even today
that much important this car is!!
You forgot to mention that this car was called as cultus crescent in japan, esteem in some countries and Chevrolet rebadged this car as cassia and esteem,
And this car came with an all wheel drive system in other countries.
