I've always used solvo autosol since a kid for chrome. It's a fine grinding paste and is brilliant. I had a Yamaha XJ600 1997 and it was ridable. The stickers drive me mad. Like they put on to cover scratches etc. Lots of TLC and it will look good.Great show.
Hi Jessica, thanks for the message. Autosol is good yes, I do use it sometimes. I may need to get more for this bike actually. I can't stand stickers, they just look rough no matter what you do with them. I like things to look clean.
would just like to say thanks for replying to my mail to you the other day. for the rest of you it was about my keeyway rks 125, when I turned handle bars to point forward it would cut out. i through a few ideas to motorcycle rescuer what I thought it might be and he replyed A.S.A.P. just to let you know it was a short to ground which i fount out buy taking a better time doing a visual inspection of the wires around the stearing stem. all it took was a cable tie and some insulating tap to fix :). grate vids you put out but if you could i/we i think would like to see sometimes more detailed vids on how you do stuff so we could learn to. E.g like the dunlop scooter you wired up to get the indercaters working, i believed you just skipped to yea got them both working now but no how you did it ( some times people that work on bikes forget that whats simple for the others have no clue). don't want to sound like am putting you down but just want this channel to kick off and get loads of subs. good luck m8 and ill be watching all the time. P.S tell sultan to get his finger out and start working on the bike lol
Hi Jason, thanks for the feedback mate. In the past I've had people not like the instructor videos and prefer just following me and my garage as a person. So I minimised the how to vids for this reason. I do show some though like carb cleans etc. Also people can contact me or better still join my Facebook group of the same name and get lots of advice from lots of great people. If I had the time I would set up a second channel of how 2 vids but its alot of work. Cheers mate
Viragos are known for the rear cylinder popping or not running aswell as the front when cold you normally have to leave the choke on a while and it settles down and works ok when warm... Im sure its wrong jetting from factory. But it could also be to keep temperatures down on the rear. I maybe wrong but i have heard of this issue many times on various forums. My xv750 backfires when cold charlie but ive also found my rear carb intakes leaking sucking air in causing the backfire. It also gets too hot if i run it too long stood still again because of too much air intake causing a learn condition. I have to sort thus out in the spring before mot time.
Hi Charlie The coils are behind the horn tucked in the top front engine mounts, be careful with the cdi box 300 bucks for a new one,,,yeah that bike is probably an import because of the emissions set up, Nice bike, come on sultan make an effort polishing 🤣🤣
I may put it through the ulez and then delete the extra emissions stuff including the massive car style exhaust silencer. I'll get that cdi tucked back up ASAP then lol.
I think the fork stickers are the Swiss version of a tax disc. If you go to Switzerland you have to pay for the year even if you only drive there for a day
You dont run a v twin air cooled lean charlie as the rear cylinder can get too hot when sat in traffic etc. and can cause cam seizure. So you are right. You dont want it to run too lean.
Hi mate, thanks for watching. I've done a couple viragos and know the bikes fairly well now which is good. Not my favorite bikes in the world but I do have a soft spot for them. Appreciate the sub and comment and do always feel free to ask any questions you may have. Thanks Charlie
I was also going to suggest this. As a kid we used to use wet tin foil to polish up chrome, and if it was really pitted we'd wet the tin foil with cheapo rolla colla instead of water.
I've only ever done that if it's had rust on it. Otherwise the metal polish is all that's needed I believe. It would have worked well for the handle bars. A fine wire wool works well aswell.
Good question. I'm not actually sure if I'm being honest. If 3k subs gets £100 a month then 100k subs should be substantially more. However its not just about clicks, it's about engaging with the channel, conversation and likes. Hope this helps

Congrats Charlie to your channels growth 💯👍. Much Respect to you & the gang 🎬👊
Cheers kicks
Coils are behind the horn under the black cover . The main fuel tank is under the seat
Main fuel tank? I thought the earlier model had a tank under the seat and a dummy tank. Does this have 2 tanks?
Main fuel tank on mine is under the seat and the petrol tank is a dummy on mine . Mines 1990
@@steveandfamily7248 Sultans tank is a real tank.
@@motorcyclerescuer mines a dummy tank think it holds about 1 litre of fuel
Cracking looking machine i look forward to completion its got potential, cheers for your channel enjoy every time.
Cheers Anthony. Tomorrow will be interesting

Its driving me crazy, today I've tried new plugs, new lead, new coils, carb clean etc.
Its my front cylinder popping.
Really those side casing could do with taking off and put on proper buffing / polishing wheel.
Great bike for sultan look forward to see both of you out for cruises Great information video Charlie.
Harley and virago, interesting match actually.
3k subs, come on!!
Cheers Mike
Cleaned up well lads 👍🏻

Thats right, I went a couple years ago in a camper and had to do that. Looks like the bike has got around.

I've upjetted both bikes by 5 now Lee. Sultans is great but mines being a pain. It's close though. I'll put up the next vid tonight.

Metal polish cleans better if you use fine wire wool with it
Good point, I did use some funny enough.
0000 wire wool
Yes I have some, great stuff
@@motorcyclerescuer 👍
Your doing really good I like them video to
Great little bike dude
lovely bike boys
Pretty cool. Hopefully my new project is a welcomed one.
Decent bike

Have you ever tried rubbing the chrome with tin foil

Yep that works great for rusted chrome.
I have a charity Charlie that takes donations of Virago's lol..... i wish !
Lol I have one to, but only half working ones lol
How much would 100,000 subs get.

So Charlie you admit that you're the make up artist ( credits say so).... question is who has it?
Yeah agreed its definitely suits Sultan lol
Lol you should see us without makeup
