Buckle up for a wild ride here on championship Sunday at the Idlewild Open presented by Dynamic Discs. Our chase card has less than a handful of strokes to make up on the leader in Paul McBeth and although that might seem next to impossible at most events, Idlewild is just that - wild.
Eagle McMahon had the hottest opening round on Thursday shooting -11 but then only followed up with a -4 during day 2. We'll see what him and the rest of the card can find their rhythm or if the course will again show it's teeth.
Thank you to Nate Perkins for stepping in during the final round of commentary. Nate graciously offered to help during rounds 1 and 2 as well but with the timing of filming and editing, it didn't work out but I'm honored to talk it up with him for our final 18 holes.

Eagle's eagle was insane. You need to post that with both camera angles as a separate video. I'd love to see the angle from Eagle's perspective
Agreed, but how is there no replay on that shot?
Im sure he will, he usually always makes a best of shots video afterwards. Thank god he had a second camera for the event
@Shane Amrein I know you are being a troll. That being said, I watched some tournaments, got interested and bought some discs. I saw these guys throwing anywhere from 400 to 600 feet and thought it would be pretty easy. I was surprised how hard it was to throw 250 ft. So get out there, try it for yourself and see how hard it is.

This is the best course i've ever seen. 30 chances to score on 18 holes, and they're all hard but rewarding, unique and interesting.
Even for a player who is nowhere near the caliber of these guys, it is a super fun course to play and if you ever get the chance I highly recommend it

That was a crazy hot round.
Pretty stoked to be stopping by idlewild next week. It'll make Eagle's eagle even more impressive when I take an 8 on hole 2.

Nate has a great commentator voice. It's peaceful and relaxing which compliments disc golf.
Nate is truly a student of other player's putting, he really seems to enjoy the subtle nuances

This sport is DEEP with young talent, wow. Anybody else feel like Bell is the Philip Rivers of disc golf? Totally unique mechanics, and unarguable results.

I followed him and caddied for dave feldberg in the kentucky doubles . I think it was like 2011 or something like that. I seen some amazing shots that day. It was a blast.

There's so many great players on tour right now. I really hope players like Andy Marwede, Jordan Castro, Anthony Barela, and Ezra Aderhold start getting the credit they deserve for how well they're playing. Any one of them could be a top ten player in no time!

Love the inside info on the course and little details, really adds a nice touch to Live coverage, only wish they had you in the loop conversation wise so you could confirm plays on the field with your own eyes and give the guys in the booth updates. Speak for yourself. I find it interesting when people get themselves into bad lays. Sometimes they make it out with some amazing recovery shots, sometimes they get themselves in even deeper.
