    Feel bad that Bonnie and Clyde wasted their lives living as criminals and were killed, but what about the people they murdered and the families they destroyed including their own families!!! They had to be stopped. Clyde said he would not be taken alive. Bonnie and Clyde killed more people than some serial killers!!! Feel bad, yes, but pity no.

    Clyde and his cronies had shot their way out of several police traps, killing several officers in the doing. They would not have been taken alive. The police had no choice but to ambush them. This was a justifiable homicide. You people need to get a life.

      It wasn’t a justified homicide. It was a justified killing for the safety of the community and the general public. There was no homicide…just two dangerous killers who refused to be taken alive. And that was no problem….the police were more than happy to accommodate them.

    It was a different era I mean we are talking about the 1930's. Based on things I have herd and read about Clyde He was not going back to prison. They knew deep down it was only a matter of time. Thing that amazes me is not how they are viewed now but look at the number of people that attended there funerals back then. I guess the newspapers and stories told by people who came across them made them known although it was for the wrong reasons.

    I don't feel bad for how they died after having taken so many lives. They had it coming and they knew it themselves too. However, I do sympathize with Clyde. If I went through the same thing he went through and saw at Eastham, I probably would have left there with a vengeance just as he did. Besides, I think dying in an ambush is way better than getting the electric chair.

    • @icewaterslim7260
      @icewaterslim7260 2 года назад

      Ma Barker was another that they had to hype some vilification for because the FBI had already killed her in the crossfire during the shootout with her son's gang. She may well have known or not known the full extent of her son's activities. She never fired a shot in the shootout. Collateral damage isn't unknown to the FBI then or now so they needed to cover their asses which is where they got the Ma Barker as gang leader story out of. This came out as per the "Freedom of Information Act" and some researcher unearthed it.

      Please stop trying to sound as though you know a thing or two about American history, because if you did... you would not have said something else. This event took place in 1934, during the Great Depression. If you want to know why jobs were lost & people went hungry, then GOOGLE "THE GREAT DEPRESSION", and inform yourself. No, it isn't. Bonnie and Clyde chose their end. They had already shot it out with police, killing some. They murdered 13 innocent people before they were stopped. The car was full of weapons and they would have used them if given a chance. Only delusional fools believe it was murder. Those same fools probably advocate for the release of the Manson family animals.

    • @nuancolar7304
      @nuancolar7304 5 лет назад +5

      Michel - You say it was murder but what, in your opinion, should the law officers have done? They were duly authorized by the Governor for this special assignment to track them down and they had full authority to shoot to kill on sight. They also had local jurisdiction through the local Sheriff office. Perhaps you feel they should have given Bonnie and Clyde a shout from the trees. Maybe they could have ordered them to turn the car off, exit the vehicle and put their hands up. How do you think that would have worked out? Considering that the duo had, on many occasions, shot or driven themselves out of many entanglements with law enforcement, the situation called for a different approach. Other officers by this time were dead and buried - after trying to apprehend them. The governor was not asking more officers to risk not going home to their families just so they could give these criminals another chance to get away. People tend to judge here in the year 2019 but they have no idea what it was like in 1934. With today's technology, surveillance and law enforcement methods, Bonnie and Clyde likely would be cornered within hours. As it was in 1934, none of that was available and they eluded authorities for over two years. They had to use methods to put things like this to an end - and they did.

    • @michelloranger2590
      @michelloranger2590 5 лет назад +2

      Mr Bucher? Where did you get this from? A movie? Clyde never shot anyone in the back. You should check the facts before posting .

    • @nuancolar7304
      @nuancolar7304 5 лет назад +2

      The John Bucher murder occurred in 1932. He and his wife operated a jewelry store in Hillsboro, Texas. Clyde was not the only one involved, so accounts differ on who actually murdered Mr. Bucher, but it was a real event - not a movie.

      Not every historian agrees with you. Only the ones sympathetic toward them who have coincidentally befriended the families (e.g., John Neal Phillips, Jeff Guinn). They have perpetuated the recent myth that Bonnie was just a ride-along girlfriend and that Clyde never shot unless provoked. I have studied the pair for over 25 years. It's disgusting how much they are trying to rehabilitate their image.

      Their justification was that they were always together and so she would necessarily be in the line of fire of an ambush they thought safest considering Barrow's record of surviving shootouts in which he killed his pursuers. What seems kinda dirty was the PR vilification of her by the Dallas PD because they knew how Hamer and co were going to do this.She was not the shooter in Grapevine as the film and recent movie has it. But you know, you run with bad men you're going to be easily vilified not completely undeservedly for your responsibility in your choices. Girls like bad men sometimes and the risk goes with it.
