oh my goodness......watching your kids in the ocean brings back sooo many fun memories! It IS very formidable! We used to call it being "tumbled" and it HURT, but we still went back and spent hourrrrs in the ocean....so fun!

It amazes me how only 2 hrs south of me, the beaches are 100x more beautiful! I hate NJ beaches..the water is greenish brown & gross. I'm amazed how blue it is here! Thanks to your video, we may be taking a drive!👍👍

Awesome video!! Been going to Bethany for about 55 years. Bethany was really quiet then. Always fun, tho.

I think the town has done a nice job with a mix of stores, hotels, condos, and restaurants. Some of the stores like the Silver Stockpile, the book store near the bandstand, and the gold jewelry store there have been around for a good 20 years or more.
This year ~ 2022 ~ IMO, the ocean is easier to get into because a storm in late April washed a whole lot of beach into the surf. So you can walk pretty far out before the waves hit you. I like it.
Oh the Trolley is fun to ride around Bethany. You see, a big residential part of Bethany is West of Route 1. I think it’s worth the 50 cent fare.
The concerts on the boardwalk at night are great. Just plan to have your dinner or dessert at Mango’s and request outside seating that looks over the bandstand OR get to the bandstand an hour or more before the concert begins (consider bringing a chair).

The main beach is really busy but if you move out to the the bridge towards the left of the beach there’s a beach that is less crowded. But it’s a very busy fishing area

Years ago we had ropes to hold onto. Helped getting knocked down by waves.

The only downside is you may encounter some pesky flies and the current at times can be a little strong. Be careful and please let me know how your trip goes.
