I agree - I have taken many courses. QuaIity, style, voice and understandability vary widely. Some instructors are very talented but not good at teaching. That alone is an art. I also think that some of the projects chosen in other courses are boring. I actually enjoyed this silly Intergalactic project ...lol.
I think it is true that each course and instructor brings new perspectives. The instructor for this is very helpful and moves along slowly enough to be able to follow, gives enough info to do the steps without getting so far into the weeds that you just bang your head on the keyboard;=)
I have the most experience with PS but am still a beginner as this is just such a deep program. I am excited to utilize the videos for Illustrator ( which I never was able to use ) and Premiere Pro ( Which I have used a wee bit ) My Creative Suite had expired at a great price but I was able to get it back again and am digging in. I use Dreamweaver for a small business website and do editing but just love the content of all the courses. I'm hoping I can perhaps do some original images and short videos to add some splash

I have been working on and of on digital projects for at least 25 years on Corel Draw and old desktop Pc,s. I am a fine artist and thought that it is for the next generation and that actual paint on canvas and printed photos is the thing.
After my kids and grand babies pestered me I have now decided to go digital with my artwork and wow. I am so glad that there is someone like you who explain things in a easy manner so that old people (gen X) can keep up. It would be nice to see more PS lessons.....Q: Other than for demonstration and practice was there a purpose in selecting the background sky in the first lesson? Would we not be able to add the "place embedded objects" without selecting the sky?

This training is amazing, you have covered in such a way that grade 5 and above school students could follow your easy instructions, this is a very good program for kids or any beginner with no knowledge in fundamentals can gain amazing learn time and reduce game time and it certainly helps everyone in their work environment, I had done 3ds Max in a live classroom session 2 years ago and now forgotten half of the tools and commands as I didn't practice for a while and it was super boring classroom session, your instructions are really interesting and sticks like a glue on our brain, let me know if you had done similar video's of 3DsMax and Maya as well.

These are extraordinary trainings - absolutely LOVE them. LOVE them so much I would really like an additional module - that is one just focused on how you bring things in and out of photoshop e.g. best ways to organize photos from different sources, how to move between programs eg Lightbox and PS. A big question I have is how to bring PowerPoint objects/Pages objects into PS - can I create things elsewhere and bring in easily if they aren't photos? Also how to create full documents in PS or how to connect to somewhere else to do that with pros/cons e.g. is it better to do a document in PS or in Pages? I realize you may not be able to give recommendations but pros/cons. THANKS for everything so far

Brilliant tutorial, thank you :-) I’ve been using Photoshop Elements for a long time and Photoshop CC for a year or two to edit photos and I’ve picked up quite a few tips from the video, looking forward to watching the advanced one next. One quick question about the filter section. I usually use these on a duplicate layer of the background instead of using a smart layer. Does using a smart layer have any advantages over using a duplicate layer? I think I’ve read somewhere that smart layers use a lot of memory but I’m not sure how much memory a duplicate layer uses… M

Thanks very much for creating this tutorial.
I have a Photoshop Element 10, since November 26, 2011 (12 years). I tried all possible ways to learn. It a tremendous job to learn, like moving a mountain. I bought some books. I searched for videos. I tried experimenting. I have been using it, but I use very little to power of Photoshop Element because lack of knowledge.
Finding materials to learn is one difficulty (back in 2011). The second problem is to visualize what the text in the book says. English is the third language that I learned; I am not perfect. Photoshop uses all kind of new terms, like placing (instead of importing). Just look at all names of all the tools and understand them! I have been a pensioner (even before I bought Photoshop Element). As one gets old, one is not so quick as a younger person.
Later on, I found some video clips on Internet. But they are so scattered and no organization. To understand one clip, sometimes the viewer needs to have some background, which I may not have.
Once I understand what it says, the next thing is to figure it out on the screen and to try it. What they describe in the book or in the video clips are often not same as what I have, as Photoshop is so powerful and users can do all of things, including moving around and hiding.
Your tutorial is well organized. You lead the viewers gradually, so that I can avoid all the hassles. One clear example is the following experience. You use a newer version of Photoshop, maybe 10 years newer than what I have. Many terms have changed. Many items have been moved to other places in Photoshop by Adobe. Yet, once I understand your tutorial and see them, often I can figure out where it is located on my old version and what it was called on my version.
    Again, thanks for your work.

Absolutely brilliant..! Thank you so much for creating & sharing this excellent & informative class/tutorial. Even though I've have PS sitting on my computer for some time now as part of my Adobe creative cloud subscription, I have only ever previously dipped in and out of this amazing but scary programme. However I now feel more confident & able to experiment thanks to your sharing this content, and now I feel I'm a bit more grounded - I think I will try moving onto your Advanced class/tutorial. Keep up the great work, Andy
