- Heya friends, we're continuing with this series due to the constant requests and we take our war-hardened band of high level companions and family members(40+ strong!), and challenge foes in a narrow valley, somewhat similar perhaps to what the Spartans faced 2500 years ago against the Persians... How far can we push these 'Spartans' in Bannerlord? Soon we'll see!
Episode 20 as these continue to be content you guys love. It's getting harder and harder, but I know you guys would expect nothing less. ONWARD SPARTANS, TO BATTLE AND GLORY!!
What prompted this series?
I get asked a lot in my campaign just how strong a small army can be in Bannerlord. So in this episode we take a fantasy trip into another world and time, taking a small breather from my death-match campaign to explore the potential of how strong a hand-picked army of 300 men in Bannerlord can be. This series will show ever-increasingly difficult challenges as I wander the map with my own "Spartans", deploying elite troops into advanced tactics in search of Glory. With some 45 companions and family members, many who are over level 40, we shake our shields and howl our war cries as the enemy closes in.... Enjoy!

My campaign is an extremely late-game campaign where I am resolved to give no peace to these scum Kingdoms attacking me - seven of the eight have been at war for years, with only Sturgia at a neutral stance. My family of warriors is now large though and with what remaining strength and valor we can must, we stand against the map of Calradia.

I use four mods:
Lord Retinue Uptier(Makes the enemy forces stronger, much less peasants and lower ranked troops)

Improved AI Troops(Also makes enemy lords and their armies tougher by giving them a higher daily xp rate. This means you'll routinely face armies with HUGE numbers of the highest tier units, sometimes four or five times the normal amount in vanilla Bannerlord): www.nexusmods....
Death for all: This mod allows you to set the rate at which nobles die more often. I want both a harder challenging late-game but also a more realistic game. If you're cut down with a massive aserai two-handed axe, you shouldn't just be injured 99.9% of the time. It's a very customizable mod so you can just a little more death or set the death rate so high you get several deaths every battle. The number I often like is '10', some deaths but not a massacre of nobles...

I also use the Dismemberment Plus Mod: It's highly customizable and works seamlessly with the new beta(and versions back to 1.28). I thoroughly recommend it if you enjoy carnage!:

I've also used Realistic Battle Mod in the past and highly recommend it for Ai and battle realism BUT I find the pace too slow for my taste and the AI is actually rather predictable after a half dozen battles. Still I wanted to put a plug in for it here, it's a GREAT mod and highly configurable. www.nexusmods....
Much of the music and inspiration for this and other videos in the channel are inspired by Epic History TV - probably THE best channel on youtube(and the internet for that matter) covering the Napoleonic wars. With amazing work Epic History TV takes you through the dramatic and incredibly story of Napoleon covering all of his most famous battles. I HIGHLY recommend it.

I'm actually on vacation right now fellas, enjoying the Summer with my wife, but I still have a dozen episodes 'scheduled' for release over the next few weeks. @@hydro420chief She IS fantastic, but also I can play a LOT at work, as a firefighter. Sometimes I make an episode for you fellas on request, then get a fire call that leave me dead tired the next morning, but it's ALL worth it :)

Thanks - and I hope it's a good reminder to fellas that defeat is always lurking right around the corner. Make a misstep, or underestimate your enemy and it's curtains.
Not sure which crossbow your using. Is it the imperial or vlandian? I have tested the imperial sergeants and they consistently beat legionaries in melee combat. I think it's because they have more maces?...
Almost always in my campaign it's a mix of those two kingdoms. I think both have their uses I think the imperial crossbow is better at melee and the valandian crossbow is better at defense.
Love it. Glad I'm not the only one who sprints around the map swearing, fighting on both sides of the hills. in the rivers. and bridges. (97vs400) my best victory so far
No question - and fighting and swearing seem to go hand in hand. Whoever got shot by an arrow and was just like "dang, that hurt". Fuck no it's FUCK THAT HURT!!

Do you neee powerful pc (what gpu) or reduced graphical settings in order to run the mod with such large battles.
I doubt you could answer a question so specific, but would you know how a 6750xt 1440p would run this game at maxxed settings or would i need to reduce graphics.

So I had a previous PC that was probably three or four years old and it wasn't the most powerful PC and it run bannerlord perfectly at 1080p graphics. Now that I've upgraded to 4K graphics I suspect you would need a very strong PC to do that with such huge battles as for your specific card I don't know if it could handle it but I will say that bannerlord is surprisingly easy on PCS and graphics cards and the game was designed to be able to run on a wide variety of PCS and a wide variety of strengths. Game runs pretty nice for me with maxxed settings so worse case i can just alter some useless settings e.g grass interaction (probably not going to jeopardise my tactics)

Awesome video, as always. I was looking for the RTS camera mod and cpuldnt find one for the lastest update of bannerlord. Do you play on the most recent patch or a previous one, and if its thr most recent, would you mind sharing where you found an updated RTS camera mod?
Yep I hear this a lot actually I am on banner Lord beta 1.28.31530 so for whatever reason the RTS mod works flawlessly with the version I'm on. All of these comments actually make me nervous to update my bannerlord!

Ithink your horse speed work against you they hit more than they can
I think you're saying that because I'm moving fast they cause more damage to me correct? That's definitely true sometimes. Worth the trade off though to have a really fast horse because obviously my own character is causing major damage too

another classic, I notice a few times recently on your videos you were having minor twitching & delayed audio here and there, Can I just tell you I was having the same issues with my Geforce screen recording at 4k I thought my computer had been overworked and was loosing some speed, but I ended up finding all this ASUS crap associated with Armory Crate running in the background and they are used for Asus Hardware but they use a shitload of resources I unistalled alot of it and I stop any ASUS drivers running in task manager and I ended up cleaning up some caches and my computer is back to pristine, the issue I found with audio delay was my recording framerate being dropped to like 57 frames wich will unsyc your audio as the video gets closer to the end its more out of sync. Anyway maybe have a peek at programs running in the background or maybe useless drivers but remember to look into before uninstalling anything, Just thought I would share that because I am ecstatic that I got my 4k gameplay back in action with no FPS drop after a month of using other methods to record.
That's a good thing for me to check into bud. Most of the time I don't have issues but I certainly had a handful of episodes where the audio became unsynced or I get stuttering issues at 4k. I'm not a big tech Guy but I'll poke around a little bit and maybe get back to you here? Thanks again for the help.
@@HeadlessHorsemanProductions if it fixes the issues I was dealing with I am glad to help with my experiences because it wasnt easy to pinpoint what was happening and it really messed up my gut thinking my pc was burning out. yeah let me know any questions later, heres 2 things that I also learned, 1 sound quality can also play a part in gpu usage you can turn down the audio quality on bannerlord options and 2 I would recomend not using any sound options that say "NVIDIA high def audio" because this will use your graphics card to output sound.

Can you put the modes that you use in general in bannerllored i love all this tactics that you do really impressive how you can manege a 1 to 10 fight 😮😮😂😂😂 i can't manege a 1 to 2 fight 😂😂

It would be nice to see some more videos with sturdis only units. I feel like im fighting an uphill battle using them sometimes

There's actually a previous episode in this 300 series where this guy annihilates me in battle. There's almost no counter to his weapon skill which I think is something like 500 something two-headed skill. Obviously artificially enhanced he's basically a God on the battlefield...

Have you got a breakdown of the weapons and armour you use? Also why did you get off your horse? I'm here taking notes
Sometimes if you are doing melee it’s easier off your horse. Also he has a legendary khan’s plated coat, a glaive made with the tier 4 smithing bent razor head and pine shaft and a short fast axe and javelins.
