- It has been months of wanting to travel to Northern Kenya and when the curfew was lifted, I decided last minute to travel to Wajir. My plan was to reach Mandera unfortunately I couldnt manage to go that far.
Here is my journey experience thorugh a region that we rarely here good news from. I hope this video will encourage most of us to travel to regions that might me considered no-go zones.

Wow another adventure to a location i have never thought of, you inspire me to travel
big up for giving us the sights of Garissa.
I wish Governors in Kenya would invest in making our towns clean and beautiful!
Next time, come to wajir....I'll take you to alot of local places which actually have history that is still unknown to most Kenyans ........ you'll enjoy #wajirlove
Dm me on IG. I plan on doing the trip in the next few weeks.

@@marieeg5148 still waiting on that DM lol. Am travelling in a few weeks time.
I think the adventure would be more fun with friends to cheer up each other. Great staff.
As a budget traveller you could get cheaper hotel rooms for as low as 1K to 1500 for aircondtioned ones like Hiddig, Ainulqamar and Shaam opposite the Level 5 hospital.
too bad I couldn't find any of them online.
Do you know where I can get bedsitter or one bedroom near pgh hospital. I have been posted in Garissa and I don't know where to start
@@sushiejacob4746 I hope to join you there. I'm applying to be posted there too
@@sushiejacob4746 hi Sushie I see you posted this two years ago. And now its my turn to ask help from you. I have been posted there and I would greatly appreciate if I found a way to reach out to you.
From Nairobi to Garissa is 5 hrs. Again on the rough road, the buses have higher ground clearance than on tarmac, especially Nissan Diesel UDs.
The mirror gave us the opportunity to see you are using what looked like a DJI Osmo Pocket camera. I have one and I love it.
You can follow the nrb- moyale - mandera route
I will try that next.
Try going to Mandera via the Isiolo marsabit Moyale road. Then do Moyale Rhamu Mandera much easier ... How much was the plane ticket to Nairobi from wajir.? Really enjoyed your post.Kongole!!!!
Yes next time I'll try that hoping it goes well. The flight is pricy at 8k
@@Ninaform its the Fastest and safest way into Mandera...Nairobi moyale smooth. Thanks,Am Loving your content..Lamu and Suswa camping video are awesome.Be Bold Be Brave.
@@geraldgm1217 I should use that last sentence as a slogan in my videos 😂
great content. i have always wondered how garissa and wajir looks like. the mainstream media only shows the bad sides
Nice adventure. Happyly you landed well
quite informative especially for an area rarely visited by non locals. But at least also try and sample the eateries so we can also see what and where to eat and maybe night life next time once the curfews are lifted
Thanks for the compliment and I will do that in my next visit very soon. My destination was Mandera unfortunately I didn’t make it but will definitely revisit the entire region in great detail
mandera is a nice place to be .have been there for two weeks . trust me the place is nice
Next time your in Garissa, let me know. I'll show you more places.
The lone traveler...that was a nice one how much for the flight?
Flight is kshs 8000 for Jetways and 7950 for theeastafrican (formely known as flysax)
Beautiful work jamaa.Amazing content
I did the exact same journey ie Garissa-Wajir and also saw Lake Yahud in Wajir.Your video was helpful in planning my trip.I wanted to head to Mandera but was told the road and stay there for non-locals is risky so I came back to Nairobi. My bus was stoned several times by a mad man on Garissa-Wajir road at Habaswein and my back was hurt.I thought it was al-shabaab and was so scared but luckily it wasnt
That is crazy. Glad you made it back safe. Honestly there’s no need to go to Mandera until the insecurity issue gets fixed. Visit Moyale instead or even Turkana.
@@Ninaform I have already been to Turkana.Moyale is next. You went to Mandera via Moyale. Is that Moyale Mandera Road safe for non-locals?
@@joeirungu5288 Yes the road is safer from Moyale going to Takaba then from Takaba to mandera.
How much was the flight from Wajir to Nairobi?
Great stuff🥳🥳. I wanna gonna there..
You can follow the nrb- moyale - mandera route is the best one
I will do that next year
wow bro.i always love youur narration skills..how much was the flight from wajir to nairobi?
It was 8k. Flights to North eastern kenya are quite high.
Great staff, keep it up 👌👌
Great stuff mahn!
Keep up
Brother, you are the best. I could have never imagined what North Eastern Kenya 🇰🇪 looks 👀 like. It’s really beautiful and vast. Imagine if Kenya could use some of that Tana River water for irrigation in that whole area. I see a lot of potential in the vast wilderness of North Eastern Kenya. How unfortunate that there is a security problem from Wajir to Mandera. Thanks for the video.
North eastern has a lot of opportunities. The insecurity is the only issue but I cant wait to go back next year and explore in depth.
Lol, that shower. Great video, keep up the awesome content.
Dude u really defined GARRISSA eti ndo wana semanga ina shinda momsa
I like Garissa, been there severally, but wajir via air...was the road safe to Wajir?
Yes. there was no issues & there rarely is in that section.
Is there UGALI in North Eastern Kenya?
Especially in those hotels you booked?
Ugali is Somalis staple food.Lol
When you're in Wajir there is a safe way to Mandera via Bute
Thanks for the tip. Planning on it soon.
Karibu Nyumbani man
That flight you booked from Wajir was very impromptu. How much to fly back and did you buy the ticko at the airport or online?
Flight was 8k. I thought I could book at the airport but was told its online booking, so I booked online less than 1hr to boarding time.
Hope you get To Mandera one day
Already planning on it. It will happen very soon 🙏🏾
Interesting stuff!
I like this keep up bro
Which cameras are using?
Nikon d 5300 for photos and all videos, I use the dji osmo pocket.
Awesome video
Nice video, Thank you
Congrats bro 👏

You seem very familiar. Plus the Naivasha-Nakuru reference. Did you go to Koelel by any chance?
Also.. great job. Very informative. Check out my channel too!.
