ArchiCAD 24 + Excel 2019 - Calculate Cost of Wall Construction

ArchiCAD 24 is the BIM game changer in the Architecture, Engineering & Construction (AEC) industry and the latest release from Graphisoft. Released one month ago, most firms and individual practicing professionals have begun to integrate it into their daily work processes.
The ArchiCAD BIM workflow supports the quantity surveying process by automating quantity takeoffs and the estimating process. My research has always looked into how quantity surveyors can be participants in the BIM process in a way that adds value to the whole procurement chain, right from the design stage to construction and facility management stages.
This step-by-step video tutorial is aimed at introducing you to cost calculations in ArchiCAD 24 using the interactive element schedule feature. We will go through the process of extracting data from an ArchiCAD model, format and export the data to an Excel file (spreadsheet) for further customizations.
Construction rates for the various building elements will be applied based on data from the IQSK (Institute of Quantity Surveyors of Kenya) Construction Cost Handbook. Units of measurement are as per the rules of measurement found in the Standard Method of Measurement of Building & Associated Civil Engineering Works for Eastern Africa (SMM).

Yeah, It includes costs of materials, labour, transportation, profits and overheads. I presume by workmanship you meant labour.

Open the project file in ArchiCAD 23. Use the ‘save as' button to save it as ArchiCAD 22 file. You will be able to open it with ArchiCAD 22.
