The following season we reached the Semi-Final, only to be beaten by a Porto side who bribed the Referee prior to the second leg at Pittodrie. We then reached the Quarter-Final of the European Cup, losing on away goals to Gothenburg (we're still to this day the only team to exist the European Cup unbeaten). Dundee Utd reached the Semi-Final of the European Cup, losing to Roma. They then reached the UEFA Cup Final, missing out on the trophy to Gothenburg...Gothenburg, there's another team which will never see European nights such as that again, all because of money and corruption within UEFA. One of my first memories of football was Mark Hughes' fantastic 2nd goal against Barcelona in 1991. Cracking goal and the beginnings of a great United team.
