Just brilliant and quite a demonstration of the tonal range of that gorgeous Blackwell. Thanks for the commentary and the way you capture those images in your performance. Wow!
Bravo! Another masterful performance and great recording. I also like the touch of subtly showing your recording equipment out of focus in the background. Keep up the good work!
OMG. What a sincere and unpretentious and perfect performance. All my respects to you maestro. Some day, I hope soon, I want to invite you to come to my country and play and give a master class so we can be touched by your greatness! I have followed you in RUclips. And your videos day by day amaze me ! You are one of the greatest players in the world. No doubt about it. Thanks. !!!
Fantastic playing! A lot of players who could pull this off might be tempted to put flashy technique in the forefront. But here you always keep the phrasing and thoughtful interpretation first. That's a subtle sign of true mastery.
I like this, it's called "The Hunt" the original is fun and angry-ish at first, but in this cover, I imagine a hunter being calm at first and then becomes fierce while hunting for it's prey, I LOVE IT!.
Fantastic playing! You have incredible technique, you are the best! But the Blackwell sounds less interesting to me, I sold mine for this reason... I like your previous non double top guitars.
Espero un vídeo pronto ya me compré una guitarra de concierto quisiera saber dónde adquiero varias de las partituras que tú tocas y bueno te pediría información sobre si das clases pero solo habló español. Cuídate y saludos
I know this is a long shor but I am literally obssessed with your arrangement of this caprice, and I could not find it on your website. I would be glad to be able to purchase it (for personal use only)
Thank you! Basically i read off the violin music, and make adjustments to fit the guitar. It's a very personal process and undergoes a lot of revision.
@@DrewHendersonGuitar I'm a professional pianist, been playing since I was 7, now 33. How long have you been playing the guitar and where did you learn. Thanks for the awesome, and calming music
Beautifully played and arranged! Is your Blackwell guitar: Spruce top with what back and sides wood? Also, raised fretboard ? Sound port? I'm asking all these spec questions cause I'm having Martin build me one also. I'm on a 3 year waiting list. I keep changing my mind on the tone woods etc. Though, I see and hear your beautiful playing and guitar! If you dont mind answering these questions, it sure would help me in my decision. Thank you Drew! Steve from Austin Texas
Steve B Hi Steve. This is a spruce/balsa/cedar top. Indian back and sides. I would have gone for Brazilian but it’s too expensive and difficult to travel with. Elevated fretboard, 20th fret (which I only use for this one piece), and soundport. Slightly thinner neck than his usual.
@@DrewHendersonGuitar hi Drew. I cant thank you enough for your information! It really helps me with my decision. I've always thought I'd go Cedar till I heard your first YT video with your new Blackwell with headphones! I was stunned. Of course, your playing is phenomenal. Again, thank you for your information. I know it's totally subjective. Ps. Understand about Brazilian rosewood. That EIR on yours is incredible! Just an incredible guitar! I think I'm going BRW cause I'm 61 now 64 when I receive my guitar! I won't be traveling with it plus I've saved for years for this guitar and will leave it for my granddaughter. But, I have to say: that EIR is awesome! Ha!, I just might have Martin use EIR! My granddaughter may be travelling with her Blackwell! Besides, I love the sounds, tones and colors! Decisions!!! Take care! Funny: the high C part with one piece you play. I totally understand.
Paganini himself would stand up and applause for this amazing performance!!! Magnifica!! Bravissimo!!!
...and I come from Paganini's town ..Genoa (Genova) and I'm a guitarist.... (But not like you!!!!).
One of the best guitarists in the world. The recording is great.
Agreed
Totally agree.
I agree! And best performance, too!
he really is.
Siii
World class musician + world class technique + world class guitar = ART! So thankful to witness it in the making. Thanks Drew!
This sounds like Liszt’s “La Chasse” étude due to the low E.
One of my favorite's guitar players. I always remember his interpretation of Reverie. It's so perfect and simple.
You're right! His interpretation of Reverie is wonderful.
Until today I only heard this piece on a violin. Fantastic job!! Bravo 👏👏👏
Thank you! After recording it, I think it will stay on the violin haha.
Tone production par excellence!
Thank you very much!
@@DrewHendersonGuitar Not a huge fan of double tops. I think your tone production was much better on the Friedrich model.
You are my example, my reference and my inspiration since 2016.
I'm eager to discover your next interpretation !
thank you for everything,
from France
You made that scale passage look effortless; well done!
Thank you! I like that this piece has the opportunity to mix legato scales with plucked ones. Reminds me of playing electric.
Excellent melody, plus excellent performance . Mr Henderson is an excellent guitarist and one of the best in the world.
Beautiful playing and sound
Amazing sound, guitar and performance!!
I can't even describe how much I love and appreciate your playing!

Wow...
wow esa guitarra se ve genial
I do love your sound your style.. One of the best contemporary guitarist!!
What strings do you prefer?
I like how 0:55 it uses like 5 chords in a single position. Cool sound.
Очень красиво. Молодец ...
if you made tabs and had them available on patreon, i'd be down to spend $10 a month for access to them. (similar to sam griffin on youtube)
Хорошая редкая музыка!
Beautifully done! Amazing sound quality, it’s like the guitar is right in front of me. Also, what is that awesome arm guard you have mounted on top?
Brillant as usual;what guitar do you play?;i like its brightness and reponsivity.
I like your eight-string guitar videos. Did you sell it?
👏👏👏❤️
Are your recordings available in higher quality audio anywhere?
Guitar model, please?
Hello! Where can I find notes?
