Data viz, humanity, collaborate, Wikipedia, exlpore, data applications. ok. What we need is not a patchy story but statement of stark reality and also seeds of hope and possibility growing up into a better reality.
Ok. I was forced to watch this video. Understand every word but disagree every sentence of it. Too much empty words and little substance. Wikipedia is not an example of data visualization though
First of all, it took me 7 minutes just to understand the point he was trying to make. Second, what he is saying may be possible in very limited research-related fields, that too up to an extent, in the application world, no one has time to for that much of a perfect collaboration and DIY every time they need some information.
