Elishia R. Mckay, MD - Director, Urogynecology

Dr. Mckay completed her undergraduate degree in Biology at the University of Miami in Florida where she also pursued her medical degree at the Miller School of Medicine. She completed her gynecology internship at Maimonides Medical Center and her Gynecology residency at Yale. Dr. Mckay is a board-certified obstetrician gynecologist and is an avid advocate for women's health. Her passion for women's quality of life led her to complete a specialty training fellowship in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery at Einstein Montefiore in a Urology and Gynecology based program. Dr Mckay is honored to provide quality and compassionate care to women with urologic and gynecologic issues including urinary and fecal incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, pelvic pain syndromes, recurrent UTIs, urethral diverticulum, urethral strictures, urogenital fistula and more. Dr Mckay also specializes in various surgical approaches including vaginal, laparoscopic and robotic assisted modalities. In addition to her clinical focus Dr Mckay has an interest in the global improvement of women's health and has had the opportunity to work, learn and serve on multiple continents. She also maintains productivity in her academic pursuits and has been recognized for her basic science and clinical research on a national and international level. She is particularly interested in continuing research regarding socioeconomic disparities related to pelvic floor disorder evaluation and treatment and will work to reduce this issue.
