It was 1981, and I went to the after prom as then, I was graduating from John F. Kennedy High School in Cleveland, Ohio. A lot of us had just heard that one of our classmates had been shot and killed by his father. We were all very sad. And we were at the after prom, they played this song, and the healing began. Some of us cried, a lot of us cried, but we began to feel better thanks to this song. I love this song, and I play it because I love Jesus, and Jesus loves me. I know! Jesus is love I know. About 12 years ago I was singing to this not knowing who He was, and today I’m born again, washed by His blood. Back them I was enslaved to sin, drunkenness immorality and wasn’t even looking for a way out coz I was so so in the dark, not even seeing the mess I’m in, and thank Jesus that today I’m singing with great joy as I’ve seen the light💡

We saw Lionel Richie about a month ago and I was kinda bummed he didn't end with this, but he did end with We Are The World which was also pretty cool. It took me over 40 years [now I'm 51] to find this piece of music and I'm now touched even more deep than ever before. God moves in mysterious ways and, time, it doesn't matter! Time is not real! I am 52 and started listening to him about the same time. I was fortunate to have a friend that bought the Heroes album and I have never forgotten this song. It has stuck with me all of these years! I am thankful that you found it and pray that everyone else does too. It doesn't get any better.
