NO Miggy doesn't give 100% every time he plays...... he gives 101%!!! Love him!
And he is still a crap player, he needs sold at the end of the season. 6 assists in 6 seasons for a winger is woeful, he had 1 decent season in his whole career at Newcastle.

Great to see Solano again. I was lucky to support him while he played for both Newcastle and my hometown's Larisa team (AEL), Greece. Unfortunately I'm still devastated from yesterday's result. I can't say anything else right now.
I hate when fans write off miggy saying hes not good enough have forgotten this lad has given us so many important goals, and i hope he stays around awhile.
He humbled Grealish in style too will always love him for that!!

No he isn't look at his stats, 176 appearances, 23 goals and only 6 assists, Gordon has already beat that in 1 season 🤦 take the blinkers off.

His goal against PSG will always be my favourite for the moment it represented.
Miggy probably isn't efficient enough to be where the club aspire to be in the future, and that means he'll probably go sooner rather than later.
Has to be recognised that even if he doesn't always make the right decisions on the pitch, he always puts blood, sweat and tears into playing for us. I spent 14 years wishing we had more players willing to put that level of effort into representing the club, if we had more players with that ethic then we'd have seen some silverware a lot more recently than in 1969!
It was great to get up early in Peru on the weekends to see the magpies and the "maestrito" goals.

This is a really lovely interview - was like watching a big brother proudly chatting with his younger sibling. There was stuff I didn’t know about either - from the club Miggy grew up supporting to his unsuccessful trials.

I'm not one in the slate Miggy brigade. To me he is the type of player we need in our squad. His constant work rate, press, fitness and he has scored some really skilled goals. Add to that the passion he always has for the Toon. Give the bloke next season and see what that brings

Two of my favourite South American stars before the arrival and emergence of the Brazilian duos. Miggy has such a good left foot. It is incredible and his work rate is second to none. I hope he has a chance to win a trophy with us.

What I wouldn’t give to have Solano back at the height of his powers in place of Almiron. You can’t compare the two seriously. Almiron is all graft and no brain but Solano had guile, class, a great shot and an amazing passing range, plus his runs hurt the defence instead of hurting his own side.
If you could have given nobby miggys pace and left foot you would have had a ballon dor winner

Truth? Solano left (along with speed) and Newcastle struggled. He returns we climb the league and crashed to 7th. He was irreplaceable and one of my all time fav Newcastle players under robson.
Miggy (like it or not) was our best player last season. That was motivation and confidence. This season, besides 5 goals including psg and 3 assists including psg, he’s done absolutely nothing. A woeful player this year so far. Got injured and since his return again has got worse all round. I worry about miggy becos he won’t like the Saudi pro, he’s such a really nice guy, but he’s distracted and nobby if you watch his face here and expressions in between miggy speaking knew it: he knew miggy could be so much better but he judt does not perform well enough.
Miggy speaks here with desire and determination. The entire interview he was so convincing and grateful. But it’s his own fault if he’s sold. No I don’t want him too but he has asked for it really and it’s so sad.
Due to miggys poor form; the other players have had to step up. 97 goals this season from us and only a few from miggy. Real sad. He sounds such a cool guy it’s a shame.

Can’t wait for Almiron to go. He’s tried his best but his best days are over now. Not enough quality. Let’s get Minteh back and spend the Almiron money on a proper top class striker, selling Wilson aswell would be a good idea to raise the funds.

Almiron? I have never seen him speak English, all his interviews are usually in Spanish so I think they did it in Spanish for Almiron's sake.

Miggy couldn’t lace Nobby’s shoelaces. Good way to publicise the club to the Spanish speaking world, though. Here’s to Miggy being sold in the summer-but it doesn’t look like that’s going to happen after this interview.

Miggy seems like a lovely lad and he always at least busts a gut for us. He has scored some lovely goals as well.
But there's just something about being here for this long and making no attempt to do an interview in the native language. I think that's why some of the fans don't feel that connection with him and won't be bothered if he leaves. Bruno and Joelinton ...and Nobby ...and most other foreign players understood this.
It's even more frustrating when you hear he can actually speak English! So why not engage with the fans in their language? To be here this long and make no effort to take lessons to get to a level where he is comfortable speaking the language isn't a good look in respect of settling here.
Nobody expects him to be perfect English - Bruno isn't - but there's an appeal and a charm that he tries because he understands it allows him to connect to the fans and the area and feel more at home and settled.
A can remember when we signed Owen a took the bairn to st James and all the fans sang was nobby solano because we wanted him back at the club Souness went and brought him back to club best signing he made bringing solano back
