They don’t have the right to bash Gazini. She faced many challenges already with her trainings, catwalks and joining this contest. Its already a great feat and Gazini did well. Top 20 and Best National costume is already an achievement in itself.

Jeungri Oppa Gazini did fine, the judges are bias to US they had to keep her included even in Top10. why only 2 in Asia. that pageant is not about wholistic beauty anymore better they change to Quiz bee contest.
RutherFord Camerino there are no biases here. Miss USA is a lawyer. Just to let you know, there are three criterias to be judged here. The Prelim Interview, SS and Evening gown prelims. And I think Gazini has a low score in prelim interview based on how she responds to the question. Prelin Interview has the highes percentage conpared to SS and Evening gown.

My top 3 were Philippines, Mexico and Thailand. But South Africa wa very solid on her presentation and speaking skills it eventually became clearer near the end she would win.
She tends to say too much, that sometimes it loses the audience- or make them confused. She shouldve just stayed on point, like Catriona Gray, to be more clear and give emphasis on what she is trying to say.

Do you know why she did not got into Asia & Africa region's Top 5? It was because of the preliminary heavy looking fabric gown. Gazini herself was not highlighted much, her very beautiful face and curvy body. She was overwhelmed by that golden and seemingly a national costume instead of a dress. It really looks heavy and she couldn't move freely to execute her MU moves. Moreover she's like she was just modelling the dress. Otherwise, with her speech it was obvious that she memorized it and she did mumbled. Nervousness pulled her down a little to deliver her speech naturally. Yet, her over-all MU performance is still commendable. Thank you Gazini for representing the Philippines well. Congratulations for being in Top 20.

Reasons for Gazini's epic fail at MU: 1) Social media hype & her popularity made her "over confident" that even if she didn't give her 100% at the prelims, she would make it to top 5 2) Purple gown was really a standout coz it was "terribly & overly" done 3) Obviously public speaking was her weakness aggravated by her eagerness & again overconfidence to win the crown. Lessons learned for the PH to stay humble & grounded & not let popularity get into our heads. For next year, hope we can send a candidate not just with a beautiful face but is able to speak out her mind yet kept grounded by her heart . MU is looking for an ambassador & a role model not just a gorgeous face. Sorry my fellow Filipinos but we failed big time today to teach us to be humble once again..... ❤️❤️❤️

The Miss Universe organization hinted that they want someone who is more of a spokesperson and not a model. Unfortunately Gazini is more of a model being absolutely freaking gorgeous and not much of a spokesperson or as eloquent as the other candidates. Her opening statement sentences seemed like they were delivered out of order and contrived - she was so uneasy,. It was painful to watch honestly - I felt for her...

But maybe also because English is not her first language. Where she places emphasis and pauses in her sentences and her sentence structure is a bit confusing. So her message is not coming across. To be honest the only thing I remember distinctly in her opening statement was " THE WORLD IS AGING"... and I was taken aback cause it sounded so apocalyptic and doomsday like, not at all uplifting..
LMAO now that you mentioned it, I do agree. The content or choice of words should have been simple and have impact. Also, I was cringing the whole time because she didn’t sound sure(confident) with her delivery. I don’t know why though, she should have practised this everyday up to the pageant night that she didn’t even need to think for the words but rather they should just come out easily and naturally. She looked like she was memorizing and in fact forgot a few lines or two. I felt bad because I wanted her to make it to top 10. Arrrgh
She could have just started her message with simple statements like relatable to her life. I was raised by a single mom, and so my grandparents took care of me and nurtured me... then the advocacy which from her heart....

Didn't catriona gray do volunteer work in tondo? I think if there was more community work and exposure to volunteer work, and surround themselves with people who believe in such , our contestants would have what you said "more substance"
I'm a HUGE fan of hers since BB Pilipinas (yes, I liked her more than Patch). But let BB Pilipinas take this experience as a lesson that although she is bright and intelligent in her own way, we need someone strong in ALL aspects (beauty, brains, communication/social skills, and advocacy) in order to make it far at Miss Universe. Gazini's best asset was her beauty and that was her downfall. There needs to be a strong balance, and BB Pilipinas needs to stop sending someone to Miss Universe that they feel is the prettiest...because Miss Universe is about so much more than that.

The contestants this year were all amazing, almost all are beautiful and well articulate. It is really tough fight. Miss universe bar is so high now. You cannot be just beautiful, you need to have essence and very smart as well, a complete package. The top 5 did really amazing job answering the question it is really hard to choose. That is why they stop saying the most beautiful women, they change it the most outstanding women in the world, which is higher.
Gazini really has humor good sense of humor so nothing is serious that she was asking for. So nobody should take her good joke seriously . Audience applauded because they know it is just a humor in her part.

Well top 20 wasn't bad atleast she's in that spot. Imagine among other MU contender she's still there? So that's pretty good enough than nothing at all. And then remember there is still a voting I red a lot of Filipino people saying their votes weren't counted they were late, and add to that I also red some Filipino people commenting their votes for the other country instead of their ph contender so GAZINI did her best just that it's not her luck. Anyway not winning the MU doesn't mean she's left behind. She,can still go on with her life

i've always thought that the q & a/speaking part would be her downfall, there's this pa-sweet/patweetums side of her and it's just not for miss universe.. her top 20 speech was a bit forced too and didn't seem sincere.. it might also be because of the pressure of bringing a back to back crown.. nevertheless., she did her best and we should be proud of her..

RutherFord Camerino there are no biases here. Miss USA is a lawyer. Just to let you know, there are three criterias to be judged here. The Prelim Interview, SS and Evening gown prelims. And I think Gazini has a low score in prelim interview based on how she responds to the question. Prelin Interview has the highes percentage conpared to SS and Evening gown.

Do you know why she did not got into Asia & Africa region's Top 5? It was because of the preliminary heavy looking fabric gown. Gazini herself was not highlighted much, her very beautiful face and curvy body. She was overwhelmed by that golden and seemingly a national costume instead of a dress. It really looks heavy and she couldn't move freely to execute her MU moves. Moreover she's like she was just modelling the dress.
Otherwise, with her speech it was obvious that she memorized it and she did mumbled. Nervousness pulled her down a little to deliver her speech naturally. Yet, her over-all MU performance is still commendable.

Reasons for Gazini's epic fail at MU: 1) Social media hype & her popularity made her "over confident" that even if she didn't give her 100% at the prelims, she would make it to top 5 2) Purple gown was really a standout coz it was "terribly & overly" done 3) Obviously public speaking was her weakness aggravated by her eagerness & again overconfidence to win the crown. Lessons learned for the PH to stay humble & grounded & not let popularity get into our heads. For next year, hope we can send a candidate not just with a beautiful face but is able to speak out her mind yet kept grounded by her heart . MU is looking for an ambassador & a role model not just a gorgeous face. Sorry my fellow Filipinos but we failed big time today to teach us to be humble once again..... ❤️❤️❤️

The Miss Universe organization hinted that they want someone who is more of a spokesperson and not a model. Unfortunately Gazini is more of a model being absolutely freaking gorgeous and not much of a spokesperson or as eloquent as the other candidates. Her opening statement sentences seemed like they were delivered out of order and contrived - she was so uneasy,. It was painful to watch honestly - I felt for her...

But maybe also because English is not her first language. Where she places emphasis and pauses in her sentences and her sentence structure is a bit confusing. So her message is not coming across. To be honest the only thing I remember distinctly in her opening statement was " THE WORLD IS AGING"... and I was taken aback cause it sounded so apocalyptic and doomsday like, not at all uplifting..
LMAO now that you mentioned it, I do agree. The content or choice of words should have been simple and have impact. Also, I was cringing the whole time because she didn’t sound sure(confident) with her delivery. I don’t know why though, she should have practised this everyday up to the pageant night that she didn’t even need to think for the words but rather they should just come out easily and naturally. She looked like she was memorizing and in fact forgot a few lines or two. I felt bad because I wanted her to make it to top 10. Arrrgh
She could have just started her message with simple statements like relatable to her life. I was raised by a single mom, and so my grandparents took care of me and nurtured me... then the advocacy which from her heart....
Reflect and Inspire yeah which is relatable to black people for most black are raised by single woman only which few judges were black.

I'm a HUGE fan of hers since BB Pilipinas (yes, I liked her more than Patch). But let BB Pilipinas take this experience as a lesson that although she is bright and intelligent in her own way, we need someone strong in ALL aspects (beauty, brains, communication/social skills, and advocacy) in order to make it far at Miss Universe. Gazini's best asset was her beauty and that was her downfall. There needs to be a strong balance, and BB Pilipinas needs to stop sending someone to Miss Universe that they feel is the prettiest...because Miss Universe is about so much more than that.

You cannot be just beautiful, you need to have essence and very smart as well, a complete package. The top 5 did really amazing job answering the question it is really hard to choose. That is why they stop saying the most beautiful women, they change it the most outstanding women in the world, which is higher.
She's been through so much pressure since Philippines won last year, and others are expecting more. She still a tremendous performance.
She should’ve focus on the lighter way of being positive...when everybody is aiming for the crown...she is well prepared thou...
Gazini really has humor good sense of humor so nothing is serious that she was asking for. So nobody should take her good joke seriously . Audience applauded because they know it is just a humor in her part.

Well top 20 wasn't bad atleast she's in that spot. Imagine among other MU contender she's still there? So that's pretty good enough than nothing at all. And then remember there is still a voting I red a lot of Filipino people saying their votes weren't counted they were late, and add to that I also red some Filipino people commenting their votes for the other country instead of their ph contender so GAZINI did her best just that it's not her luck. Anyway not winning the MU doesn't mean she's left behind. She,can still go on with her life
Also, it's a one man sport. No one should blame Gazini for not winning another crown. If they do, they should then at least try speaking in a foreign language in front of BILLIONS OF PEOPLE.

To be honest ... she is truly lovely and I think she was over excited because she had to wait so long for her name to be called out .. if she and our Zozi got together and zozi taught her to stand still , talk calm and strong with conviction without trying to be so girly .. she would have placed better but no doubt she is beautiful ❤️🇿🇦

i've always thought that the q & a/speaking part would be her downfall, there's this pa-sweet/patweetums side of her and it's just not for miss universe.. her top 20 speech was a bit forced too and didn't seem sincere.. it might also be because of the pressure of bringing a back to back crown.. nevertheless., she did her best and we should be proud of her..
