Just like your other Apple devices, AirTag can be put into Lost Mode. Then, when it’s detected by a device in the network, you’ll automatically get a notification. What if the original airtag owner don’t remove the icloud from their phone ? Can the airtag be restored and remove the icloud from the airtag using this method ?

Use a different type of battery because It doesn’t work with Duracell I had the same problem when buying a battery for the AirTag.
