Wacky, do you mind including data on tactical vs Heavy stock. Rumor has it that the various grips behave different behaviors versus the 2 stocks. Just an idea. A stock video makes content.
thumb grip on the ace with a heavy stock completely changes the weapon. the new 40% ADS speed of the thumb grip counters the slow ads of the heavy stock, and the added vertical recoil of the thumb grip combines with the recoil control of the heavy stock to make it control super easy. the ADS is crazy fast and the re coil control is very tight and easy. throw on a comp and its even better.
If the heavy stock is the first available stock I come across I'm 9 times out of 10 running the thumb over any other grip. The compatibility of the two just makes too much sense.

I’ve recently found your channel and you have been invaluable in my game improvement with the high quality vids and countless hours of entertainment. goat
The half grip buff and vertical grip nerf is mostly about screen shake while firing. Spray patterns on walls do not show this. But because you adjust your aim during sprays while looking at the reticle, you may find the vert grip recoil "worse" or half grip recoil "better".
It was already a better grip before the patch (~ about S+ compared to S- of vert), and after the patch the lightweight is in a tier of its own for single fire.
Personally I think the buff for the angled grip is noticeable. This is very helpful for midrange spraying. So for me both angled, thumb, and light grip are all meta attachments.
@@0002pA if you are experienced enough, like 1000+ hours, the main uncontrollable recoil is random horizontal sway, especially for 5.56 rifles. So I’d say the angled grip is one of the bests, best grip for 5.56 and mp5k at midrange. You might find it little hard to control at first, but really worth practicing.
@@0002pA What's so hard to control about vertical compared to horizontal? Vertical is predictable and you just pull down a little more, horizontal is impossible to compensate for due to its inherent randomness so minimising that is essential for a skilled player. Atm its Light > Thumb > Ang > Half > Vert. Vertical was already overrated since anyone call pull down 15% more but now its so overshadowed its only perk is being better than nothing.
Angled is obvoiusly the best grip for ARs atm. People dont remember it also gives ads speed bonus. Half is also good. It was good before but after buff its even better (it was buffed, not nerfed). No point using other grips for ARs. For DMRs best grip is light but if you are really good at fast dmr spams you should use thumb grip for very fast ads. Im a semi-pro pubg player with 400 adr and 2.7kd EU FPP Ranked.
Wacky, half grip got a buff not nerf. From penality of MINUS 15% down to only MINUS 5% and when breathing from MINUS 20% down to MINUS 10%. It is less bouncy than before.
Hi WackyJacky101, first of all: nice video! And secondly I would like to see some other comparisons between the grips for a few other weapons. Sometimes I like to rock the Mutant and the buff of the grips could make the 2 round burst a nice mid ranged weapon. Greetings from Germany and keep up the great work 👍
The big changes I’ve noticed the most while playing this patch is how the 3x and the 4x react with the grip changes. I can no longer 4x spray half decent with an ACE on any grip and barely do a 3x spray, M4 is significantly harder as well. In the long run it seems these grip changes were to help new players but I have a feeling it’s more of a nerf of skilled sprayers. Just a thought
Angled Grip looks worst for first couple bullets... Vert grip looks buffed I know its RNG recoil but some of this looks like sway shenanigans having a big effect. Some of that might matter at mid range
I'm always surprised by how little the numbers matter on this game, there's basically no changes, there should be positives and negatives to all grips defining shooting style, making tap/burst/auto all relevant and viable, right now there's 2 viable loadouts everyone use m4-m14/beryl-slr all with the same attachments and play style ,spray and pray
I think partially because a grip is only one component of recoil management along with other attachments, and also you're not guaranteed to get any specific grip unless you're going out of your way to loot everywhere so if they had a massive massive impact it would increase the rng of your gear.
@@myclamish yes i get what you're saying. attachments shouldn't be only upgrades over the base weapon imo , they should be modifiers allowing and enabling diferent playstyles for example i always microburst cause i played battlefield the most and pubg thou is marketed as having a realistic gunplay is all spray and pray , the recoil is never the problem cause it's manageable and bullet spread is minimal people nowadays just spray with the m4 at 200 to 300m and that's the most efective way of play ,rant over
mutant seems fun now. single fire works well for running targets and burst can deliver that double headshot. it used to feel like lucky thing to try it, but now with good scope and lightweight, i can actually try it for real
The thumb grip buff reminds me of before the AR's got nerfed hard via increased recoil. It was normal to see good players using a 3x or 4x and thumb grip to spray like a lazer.

@@WackyJacky101 I kind of agree with this guy. Angled seems really consistent. And as opposed to your tests, I found the vertical grip to be worse now. At least it consistently had more side-to-side jumps, not just horizontal drift, but hard kicks. This with a fully kitted m4.

for me angled grip is the best for this update .. my vertical sensitivity is 1.5 it can handle high recoil easily like beryl .. light grip is 2nd for me
I spent about 45 minutes in training mode trying grips on the m416, beryl and ace. In my opinion, the vert grip is now among the worst, actually probably the one I would avoid. Both the angled and half and thumbgrip are ones I would lean on with the beryl or the others using tac stock. Using heavy stock however, the ace with a thumbgrip is better than the vert grip used to be. I feel like I could consistantly hit better +50m sprays with it than any m4 combo. So it's probably getting nerfed.

idk if it was me. but the ace32 with vert, stock, flashhider and vertical seemed nerfed on the first shot. the sight rised like a meter at 15 meters (3 feet at 45 feet)
I switched over to the thumbgrip about 2 months ago because I noticed that the ADS Speed was extremely quick and at times almost instant and the control was just as easy as the vertical grip. I started winning more fights and with this buff to ADS speed its been insane.
so now thumbgrip for spray (reddot, 3x with heavy stock, and comp) and lightgrip for DMR-s? (like sks mk12 etc with flash h. or comp?) im i getting it right?
