    thumb grip on the ace with a heavy stock completely changes the weapon. the new 40% ADS speed of the thumb grip counters the slow ads of the heavy stock, and the added vertical recoil of the thumb grip combines with the recoil control of the heavy stock to make it control super easy. the ADS is crazy fast and the re coil control is very tight and easy. throw on a comp and its even better.

Over all this won't change much of my grip usage, angled grip still remains the over all worst grip for me and half grip is my preferred one and all the others in between are in their own places although I might take the thumb sometimes over vert for example on smg's..

    The half grip buff and vertical grip nerf is mostly about screen shake while firing. Spray patterns on walls do not show this.

      @@0002pA What's so hard to control about vertical compared to horizontal? Vertical is predictable and you just pull down a little more, horizontal is impossible to compensate for due to its inherent randomness so minimising that is essential for a skilled player. Atm its Light > Thumb > Ang > Half > Vert. Vertical was already overrated since anyone call pull down 15% more but now its so overshadowed its only perk is being better than nothing.

      Angled is obvoiusly the best grip for ARs atm. People dont remember it also gives ads speed bonus. Half is also good. For DMRs best grip is light but if you are really good at fast dmr spams you should use thumb grip for very fast ads. Im a semi-pro pubg player with 400 adr and 2.7kd EU FPP Ranked.

    The big changes I’ve noticed the most while playing this patch is how the 3x and the 4x react with the grip changes. I can no longer 4x spray half decent with an ACE on any grip and barely do a 3x spray, M4 is significantly harder as well. In the long run it seems these grip changes were to help new players but I have a feeling it’s more of a nerf of skilled sprayers. Just a thought

    I'm always surprised by how little the numbers matter on this game, there's basically no changes, there should be positives and negatives to all grips defining shooting style, making tap/burst/auto all relevant and viable, right now there's 2 viable loadouts everyone use m4-m14/beryl-slr all with the same attachments and play style ,spray and pray

    • @myclamish
      @myclamish 2 года назад

      I think partially because a grip is only one component of recoil management along with other attachments, and also you're not guaranteed to get any specific grip unless you're going out of your way to loot everywhere so if they had a massive massive impact it would increase the rng of your gear.

    • @francobuzzetti9424
      @francobuzzetti9424 2 года назад

      @@myclamish yes i get what you're saying. attachments shouldn't be only upgrades over the base weapon imo , they should be modifiers allowing and enabling diferent playstyles for example i always microburst cause i played battlefield the most and pubg thou is marketed as having a realistic gunplay is all spray and pray , the recoil is never the problem cause it's manageable and bullet spread is minimal people nowadays just spray with the m4 at 200 to 300m and that's the most efective way of play ,rant over

    I spent about 45 minutes in training mode trying grips on the m416, beryl and ace. In my opinion, the vert grip is now among the worst, actually probably the one I would avoid. Both the angled and half and thumbgrip are ones I would lean on with the beryl or the others using tac stock. Using heavy stock however, the ace with a thumbgrip is better than the vert grip used to be. I feel like I could consistantly hit better +50m sprays with it than any m4 combo. So it's probably getting nerfed.

While I understand you'd want a compensator on your weapon regardless, you don't always find one and end up with either a flash hider or preferred silencer. By removing the other attachments from the equation you can see more precisely how the grip attachments affect handling.

I very rarely shot at anyone without leaning either right or left so for me (before the update) the angled grip was the best cause it keeps my spray closest together. If I would use any of the other grips while leaning my shots would be all over the place. I feel there are a lot of us out there that lean while shooting so could you also add that while your testing?

    I used to prefer the Half Grip because it seemed more controlled when peeking than the Angle Grip or Vertical Grip. Am I crazy for thinking there's a difference between standing and peeking with each grip?

    I just came back after a couple months break. I didn't even know these changes were made. Still got a 10 to 1 kd though in solos. Don't even play bot games either

    Seems like they made all grips sorta interchangable? It doesnt matter what grip you have but just that you have a grip, right?

    idk if it was me. but the ace32 with vert, stock,flashhider and vertical seemed nerfed on the first shot. the sight rised like a meter at 15 meters (3 feet at 45 feet)

    I switched over to the thumbgrip about 2 months ago because I noticed that the ADS Speed was extremely quick and at times almost instant and the control was just as easy as the vertical grip. I started winning more fights and with this buff to ADS speed its been insane.

    could you make a tier list of attachment specific to each gun? for instance lightweight grip is better on sks than it is on ump, and opposite for half grip? or so i seem to notice but im a noob. and when it comes to m4 (and many other guns), idk which i should prioritize when i get the luxury to choose. same with silencer vs flash hider vs compensator, and light stock vs heavy stock, i suppose it depends on each gun, and what situation you need to use it in, so some directions would be great. :3
