  • Please note that everything shown in this video is just what works best for me. There is no wrong or right way of doing things. I urge you to do your own research and testing.
    Just a heads up, certain heavier or more complex FO's may appear cloudy at a higher fragrance load percentage. If you experience this, try a 2-3% fragrance load and it should appear more clear. Also, the base won’t play well with bakery scented. The odor attacking enzymes will think the bakery scent is an odor to eliminate.

    • @calafiacandleco
      @calafiacandleco  8 месяцев назад

      I would say the pros are how quick and easy it is to use, the clear formula, that it’s also an odor eliminator, and I do find the scent to last longer. The cons would be that you go through it fast. One 16oz bottle of the base will only make four 4oz sprays, so you do have to bulk up on the base if you’re going to be making a lot.

      Hello! Yes, you don't need to add anything to the base. That's a great question and I don't know that I have the best answer for that. I would say probably a year or so, as most fragrance oil companies will say their fragrance oils have a shelf life of about a year. I've also read that oils can stay good for two years or longer if stored in a dark, cool place.

    • @calafiacandleco

      Hi there. You would just use the same idea but swap out the 4oz for 2. Convert to grams if you wish. So, if you choose to do 5% fragrance load, you would multiply .05 x 2oz to get the amount of fragrance you would need.

      No alcohol needed with this base. I know some recipes where you make your own base require alcohol, but you do not need to add anything to this base.

    What is the percentage of the pre-mad base for room sprays.

    • @calafiacandleco
      @calafiacandleco  9 месяцев назад

      Hi there. It depends on what fragrance load percentage you are wanting to use. For 5% fragrance, it would be 95% base.

    How does that bottle spray out? I have a pre-made base but mine squirt out instead of misting.

      Oh really? These spray a fine mist.

    Hi Bree! I see on your ingredient list for the room spray, you list optiphen as an ingredient, which isn't an ingredient listed in Midwest's base. What percentage should that be? When did you add the optiphen? I re-watched the video but must be missing that part? Thanks Bree

    • @calafiacandleco
      @calafiacandleco  Год назад

      Hey there! I don't add it. The ingredients listed are what is in the base from MWFC plus fragrance oil.

    Hi! How do you convert bottle ml to grams? Or did you weigh your bottle?

    • @calafiacandleco
      @calafiacandleco  11 месяцев назад +1

      I weigh out all of my ingredients by grams, so the 4oz is the total net weight of the ingredients.
