Fantastic instructions. I have the domino mould and only used it 1 time cause I didn't like how it turned out. I'll give it another try now after seeing your video. Thank you ❤️.
Love this video If you pour all the way to the top and it’s slightly makes like I think it’s called overpouring or I’m not sure, but it makes like a bubble over it. It makes them not have those sharp edges.
I just did my first set and they came out not dark enough aka the numbers are visible so lol I'll keep these and use em for something like a photo addition. My dad and uncles used to play so I'll problem use em for that. Thanks for the video!
I just tried my own set of dominoes for the first time (also first time using resin)! And Ia so excited to see how the turn out!! Also I didn't realize how sticky resin is 🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️🤣🤣
I love the front! 💜 But I do wonder if some people could learn which domino has which pattern on the back(aka smart kids with nothing else to think about). Have you ever painted the back and sides?
How many sets of the molds do you have to do for a complete set of dominoes? If you’re making multiple sets I assume you need many molds if they take 7 days to cure?
What brand of paint did you use? I tried to make dominoes. I don’t know what brand of coloring to use. Mine are transparent. Not a good thing for dominoes.
Using the isopropyl alcohol will handle the air bubbles, if you spray it at the end and if you wait a about 10 minutes or so and spray again for any bubbles that rise after that. Are those the holes you mean?
Jodi..yes you can do glitter like you suggested. My experience is the glitter sinks to bottom and you have clear backs....really cool in blue glitter with white dots!
Thanks for the tips! I was curious on the dots! I love being able to find videos on RUclips to help beginners out!

These colors are gorgeous!
I found that using paint markers in the line and then use a razor blade to take off any excess once it dries. Nice work !
Cool! How many ounces of resin did you use.?
Once again your creativity amazes me. I can't wait to do my first resin project. Thanks for the step by step MMG!
I cant wait to try my first resin project too!
This was so much fun! I have the mold & haven’t used it yet🤪. Great video- thank you 🥰
Finally got my spray bottle with the alcohol so awesome thanks for this tip
Nice! It makes things soooo easy :)
@@MixedMediaGirl agreed!
Love this video

Very cool indeed. This was fun to watch. Thank you 😍🇦🇺
Very cool! I love that color combo 😍
The colors are fabulous!
Great instructional video ...Thank you for your time.....

Awwww cool colours! 💖💖💖👏👏👏🇦🇺
Thank you. Nice video
Does the sanding dull the finish? 😊

I was thinking the same thing.
Neat!
👍👍

Awesome 🤩
How much resin do you usually need for 28 dominoes? Thanks!
Depends on the mold you use, this mold was about 8 oz.
@@MixedMediaGirl thank you!
Great video ❤️

How do you keep bubbles out of the corners? I always have issues with bubbles ruining my pieces, and adding on even more work
Try preheating your resin and spraying your mold with 91% isopropyl alcohol before pouring your resin in :)
Thank you for sharing.
Thanks for the video
Silly question will the paint come off or is it permanent?
Unless you are sticking things in the holes it should be fine.
Thank you for responding
Could you use a split cup to more evenly distribute the colors?
That's a great idea!
Is there any way to prevent the little holes? I’m having that issue

What kind of resin should I use
Where did you get your cups from?
How much resin did you use
So cute but I can't find a tin box to put them. The mold that it came with takes soooo much epoxy
I just put mine in a bag. :)
How epoxy do you mix
How long do have to let it sit to cure
Less than 24 hrs
@MixedMediaGirl thank you
I accidentally ordered the oil based paint marker, should I return it and get the water based one you are using?
I think the oil based might actually work better, let me know! :)
How much resin did I need premix for this mold ?
I believe I used about 14 oz. :)
What name brand of resin or u using or does it make a difference 🤷🏾♀️
❤
the resin does make a difference, I use my own Mixed Media Girl Artist Resin mixedmediagirl.com/
I didn't understand why you put alcohol on it
If someone can explain please
To get rid of air bubbles
What are using for the dots?
An oil based marker. All materials are listed in the description
I have 90% alcohol is that okay?
Yep, that will do! :)
Can u list all the materials you used?
All materials are listed in the description
How much mixed resin for each " color" please??
It's about 14 ounces total, so you can divide that however you want between the colors you want to use
How long do it supposed to sit for?
The resin cures in about 24 hours
@@MixedMediaGirl oh ok! Thank you so much! I thought about five days.
I here first
❤❤❤
7 days? My resin takes 24-48 hours
There are different stages of cure time
😢
Is something wrong?
The problem with dominoes is they all need to be the same on the back for good players like my dad. He'd memorize the backs! 🫣😂😂
Lol right?? 🤣🤣
Our family is super competitive with dominos. I wonder if you can do a layer of glitter and then a layer of opaque resin ? I will try
My sister is just like that.
Jodi..yes you can do glitter like you suggested. My experience is the glitter sinks to bottom and you have clear backs....really cool in blue glitter with white dots!
That’s called cheating
I need this mold so bad. I’ve tried different places for molds And I keep getting small ones. 🥹🥲
