sauropods are insane! I will never get over how mind blowing their huge sizes were, animals that massive walking around 🤯
I completely agree, it really is mind blowing, would’ve been truly breath-taking to be in their presence
The reason being is that they have a lightweight bone structure for their bodies.
Even the largest land mammals are no match for the largest Sauropod
And to think that the established length of the dreadnoughtus was from a skeleton that was not full grown. It was confirmed that the bone structure suggested that the animal was still growing and was likely still a juvenile. So who knows, maybe an adult would’ve been as long as a blue whale.
Or maybe longer
for sure longer. Like some of the already found Sauropods are longer than blue whales.

@@Delta-ei7im funny you mention that, because paleontologists have found sauropod tracks that were so deep small animals actually got stuck in them.
Just seeing it next to Brachiosaurus (which was originally the biggest) it amazes me how large Dreadnoughtus is

I used to take the regular diplodocus to compare the size of dinosaurs. Now, I use the big fat diplodocus.

The new one definitely feels heavier though when it walks/moves around, bulkier legs too

What's the use of making new improved models if they are going to show compy and raptors taking on sauropods and what they do is just stand like dumbo. In real life, even medium sized sauropods were feared by biggest of predators.

@@joaquinnevarez2509 No. When comparing different animals, it's better to compare their weight, since you don't have to account for different proportions. In this case, Dreadnoughtus, being a titanosaur, was quite heavier than Mamenchisaurus.

@@joaquinnevarez2509 the size of an animal doesn't matter how big an animal is. It's weight that matters. Like for example, even though Patagotitan is taller than Argentinosaurus, Argentinosaurus is heavier, so Argentinosaurus is bigger, and it's the same thing for Mamenchisaurus and Dreadnoughtus

Im thinking… never. Argentinosaurus only had novelty for holding the record of largest dinosaur for a long time, but now it is only one of many, MANY contendors for that title. Why would JWE2 need Argentinosaurus when it already has Dreadnoughtus and Mamenchisaurus?

I don't understand how they went from the og dreadnoughts to the new one. I'm guessing the dominion design team didn't consider the game version.
Nah movie studios will almost always go for their own designs unless specifically taking from the game as source material, I'm happy with the new Dreadnoughtus though

The game has nothing to do with the movie, it's just a standalone collab between Frontier and Universal.

@@paolopasaol9700 yeah still big but comparing it to the size of the airplane in the film it is near, feels a lot smaller in game than that considering that was far from a small plane
Dreadnoughtus is actually only 26 meters long, but in the movie it appears to be over 50 meters, Mamenchisaurus is also smaller than in the movie

JWE 2 had a perfectly good Dreadnoughtus. In fact, id even say it was nearly accurate to the actual bones! There were problems, but overall JWE 2 is making big strides in accuracy and aesthetics.
Then they had to put this in the movie. And call THIS accurate.

This thing has grey elephant skin and the WEIRDEST muscle arrangements. Along with not even being at all like the real animal.
And they had the NERVE to put this in the prologue, that’s SUPPOSED to be accurate.
Just… why? Why couldn’t they have just, at the very least, made it look REAL?
Look at you complaining about accuracy in a movie like Jurassic World. Don't make me laugh...
@@SirKolass I just mean they already had a perfectly good design, and yet for some reason, they came up with a new, WORSE one to use. And it's not just that the sauropod is inaccurate in the movie. It's just outright ugly.

The brachiosaurus would be tallest in the movies not in the game, but the drednoughtous and mamenchisaurus are probably the longest.
And argentinosaurus i think
So the biggest dinosaur as of right now is Dreadnoughtus he was 85 ft long and about 65 tons so by far the largest dinosaur uncovered. There is also Argentinosaurus that completely blows it out of the water being 100 ft long and 100 tons but the problem is that no full skeletons have been uncovered of Argentinosaurus in fact I don’t even think like more than 5% of it has been uncovered so the weight and height are just extreme estimates, whereas I think over 40% of Dreadnoughtus skeleton has been uncovered so they can make some much more educated conclusions about his actual size. So in theory the Argentinosaurus is the biggest but it’s not confirmed but officially the biggest is Dreadnoughtus

Great video mate, though given the radical differences between the two Dreanoughtus’s, I really feel like they should rename the original Dreadnoughtus as the Argentinasaurus instead, same goes for the Giganotosaurus with the old design being reclassed as the Mapusaurus.

he dinosaurs could not live in the air of today it is too thin. The air that they lived in millions of years ago was much thicker which helped to support their size and weight . if you examine the shapes of the dinosaurs it’s all a telltale sign of the type of environment they lived in. The air was so thick for them back then that they practically swam through it. if you look at the shape of a T-Rex and remove his legs he almost looks like a giant sperm. Think about it . ….. i’d say from ground level to about three top height the air was about as thick as a swamp nothing of which man could have lived in. What caused the demise of the species was simply a thinning of the air Which took away their strength to hold up their own bodies
