I love these memes. They remind me that no matter how traumatic our childhoods were (believe me, I know many of us did), there are still some happy memories we can share with everyone ☺️
The purpose of the recorder was probably to torture parents, because me and the rest of my music class in Year 3 (idk what grade that is) tried to have a competition to beat the world record for longest recorder solo. My recorder mysteriously disappeared after a 3 hour solo. I never saw it again.
As an adult I fear good dreams. Living in a world in where life is perfect and then waking up, has got to be the worst feeling ever. -10/10 would not recommend.
1:46 as a gen alpha, i still get so happy when we get to play with these in pe! we at least played with them 1 time in each grade in my old elementary school.
Something I've noticed is that most of the time people seem to blame kids always being on devices on the kids and not the adults around them (ex parent giving them devices with no restrictions, there being barely anymore places for kids to go out)
Yeah!! Parents shouldn’t give their children any devices until they’re old enough :( sometimes it’s the parent’s fault for their children’s short attention span >:|
8:59 top left gives me flashbacks back to when i had a balloon and i let to of it and said fly but when it touched the ceiling it popped i cryed that day.
1:59 in school I was always so good at opening the fruit cups. Everyone made me do it for them. Theirs always splashed in their faces and on the desks, mine were always perfectly opened. I WAS THE FRUIT CUP OPENER.
4:49 “when the street lights come on, it’s time to come on home!” It was amazing, I wanted to grow up but now I want to go the other way, relive my favorite moments of my childhood over and over and over again
3:20 I did play with these, I also remember playing with a toy gun and when you pressed the trigger it would make a bang sound and it smelled like gunpowder
2:37 i remember these small ass ones, we called them stickers, tiny little things were super painful to pull out, in the spring we had to wait to go outside cause these dang things always came back, and if you got one stuck in your foot you just died right there
8:05 I'd be happy to choose any of them, though since I loved bringing my dsi to lunch with me during middle school I'd say 2010's. So many good memories playing Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Explorers of Time after enjoying the lunch my mom made. 15:31 I found some superhero themed ones at the Dollar Tree and immediately bought 2 bags. Also I've never seen the bubblegum version, here it's some sort of chalk like candy.
4:49 yeah, those days were the best. Outside, a bonfire going in the backyard, a couple of your friends come over and playing a game of Manhunt, marshmallows
1:23 just triggered the memory of when I got one of these and decided that such a special creature should get a special name, so I tried to name it in "my own language." I was just stringing way too many sounds together that sounded good, attaching meanings to them and hoping that it would eventually become a language, but I forgot all the words and never came up with any grammar, sooooo... Anyhow, I settled on a name that sounded fun, punchy, and vibrant! And I, as a child who only spoke English (aspirational conlangs aside) presented the name to my family, one of whom also spoke Spanish. She freaked out and made it very clear that whatever I named that lizard was something really bad in Spanish. I'm not sure what I called that lizard, but in retrospect and considering my taste in sounds at the time, I think I may have accidentally named that lizard "Son of a Promiscuous Woman" in Spanish. I sincerely hope that whoever I gave that poor lizard to gave them a much nicer name like "Mr. Cool Pants" or something.
1:22 DUDEEE my Mimi had so many of these little lizard like things scattered around her house There was a shiny one on her mantle I think and it was my favorite cuz it felt nice

Apparently if you try to visualize two heart-organs squeezed together you get what we call the heartshape because one person's heart is just half of a heart-shape, so that's why this shape symbolizes love like "two hearts become one"
Oh sweet, it's the rainbow counting bears. I recall playing with them and giving them all nicknames. The red ones were red, the blue ones were bluey, the green ones were greenie, and the orange ones were orangie and the yellow ones were yellowie and the purple ones were purpleie those were what I named all of them as a young little kid.😊
1:12 For the past 15 years i have managed to collect 45 unique sand animals. different sizes and not a single one is the same shape. 9 of them are lizards.
I played outside in the dark too it was kinda scary at first, but then it got fun once I realized that I and my childhood friend were playing outside during curfew hour time.😊
I remember being in that place as a young little kid. I remember this one Macdonald restaurant had green or blue plastic stairs that you had to practically haul yourself up onto and I recall getting my head bonked by those darn things each and every single time I climbed up them and learnt that I'm supposed to duck down when I'm climbing up those things the hard way as a young little kid growing up.

A lifetime is a meaningless thing we all do.

Back in my days , eating glue and erasers were my favorite snack in school.
Howdy pardner
I have to ask, as a kid, who used “going outside to get exercise” as an excuse to not do homework?
