Thank you so much for bringing it up. That’s exactly what I’m trying to tell my family but literally nobody wanna hear me out. Growing up Vietnamese with my dad is master of the house, I was never allowed to express myself and always have to bottle up my emotions. And typical Vietnamese mother who constantly compare me to “con nhà người ta”. My whole childhood was about trying to meet their expectations and that made me feel like I’m never good enough. I don’t know how to love myself because somehow I believe I’m not worthy. Been dealing with depression and on medication for years and now I slowly learn that love is not something to be earned. So yeah, know your own value and be kind to yourself

I’d love to see a Vietnamese version of this conversation so the older generation can understand what they went through. I think the only way to bridge the generational gap is when both generation understand the impact of their history and have more compassion, thus understanding, for each other. Love the direction you’re going with this! Can’t wait to see more 💖a

my childhood crush was vietnamese. he was my first crush ever. i grew up with a lot of vietnamese folks and it's safe to say most of them were unique. i reached out to him after graduating because he went MIA and his family moved into a new house but in the same city so i should've seen in school. we had no classes together. long story short he didn't remember me. forget that ninja. that was the first and last asian dude for me.

Interesting to hear this man's "hard" American accent talking with such tenderness.

Vietnamese people are going through spiritual evolution over the past 2500 years. At the end of the day a new Thien Viet country will be known to the world. Everyone will know what's right and wrong, black and white so that no one can deceive a person born in Thien Viet.
