Thank you so much for this. I have listened to your last book review almost every day because it is both soothing and a very intelligent take on books. I appreciate your putting this together for your admirers.
My partner and I both read a lot of books on trauma (especially childhood trauma), and you're right - it really depends on the person. We both liked the Gibson books, but as she sees things through an AuDHD lens, we often take away very different things from the same books. (I thought Drama of the Gifted Child was pretty okay; she wasn't interested in it.) I tend to lean more towards stuff like the NeuroAffective Relational Model, but she prefers Internal Family Systems and Sensorimotor Psychotherapy. We've got different brains and different needs. And since there's no one perfect proven way to deal with trauma anyway, it kinda seems like we all piece together what works best for us and figure it out from there.
I’m excited for this because I read a bunch of recommendations from a previous video of yours and I loved them so much ❤️ Maurice and Persuasion… and another I can’t remember 🤓
Hiiii 👋 I never put any comment but I’m French and I miss your videos in French with your accent. They was so relaxing… I hope one day you will do some again … 🤗
As a 38 year old Autistic male. I can't handle adult books. Mentally or emotionally. I can only handle science fiction books I like. Lord of rings and the Hobbit. And Harry Potter.
Have you read “Rock Paper Scissors” by Alice Feeney? Seems like you might like that one going off what you liked from this video. (Still watching it so I’m not sure if you mention this one 😂)
Hi Violet, thank you so much for sharing your reactions to these various books. I didn't realize you were writing a book. Please be sure to let us know if you publish it. Even if I hate it, I'll love it if that makes any sense. My sister-in-law has written a book about patriarchy in Christianity and I have pre-ordered a copy even though I probably won't understand it very deeply. Speaking of Christianity, your comments about Dr. Delony's religion made me think about my own religious beliefs. I really want to share my religion in a way that respects other people's beliefs and isn't rude or obnoxious. It's probably years ago now that I sent you a private message on Patreon asking for your permission to indoctrinate you. You very politely declined my offer. These days I've getting into commenting on Kristi Burke's videos, trying to convince her viewers that God loves them. Kristi used to be a Christian but now she's an agnostic atheist. It's tough though, because Kristi is incredibly knowledgeable about the Bible and she picks out parts of it that make God look really bad.

I read one or two of Ruth Ware’s books. I found them to be very formulaic
