Thank you for reacting to my favorite band! Everything they do is great and they can do pop to rock to metal and I love it all! They can also can put a big smile on my face with a couple of covers where they are just having a blast doing the song! Can not wait for you to do Minions:Banana song cover and Make you Happy cover!
Oh Raitei...the song that got me into Nemophila. Can't even remember how I stumbled upon this song, but I was instantly hooked and had to watch more...well, after I recovered from the ending of this song punching me in the face, in the best way possible. My goodness, that ending... As others have already mentioned, there is a few more original songs from them you haven't reacted to yet, so I won't repeat that all over again. But as far as where you go next, to be honest, any route you take would be just fine. All of it is worth a listen regardless. Even one of their covers of some banana song that i'm like 'I don't know wtf this is, but it's great', lol. I wouldn't mind a small dive into the covers just so you can get a taste of that, then maybe go back to the other original songs you haven't seen yet. But either way, i'm just happy you're reacting to them. Like you mentioned in this video, some of these bands from japan especially on the rock/metal side don't get a ton of exposure, so it just makes me happy to see more people reacting to them and giving them at least a little more exposure. This band is just so super talented, they deserve it, imo. And it's always awesome to see these wonderful all women bands get more exposure as well. We could use more of them, and as we've seen with Japan...i'd argue they are the ones kicking the most ass right now, so they've earned it. Enjoy the reactions, keep em coming.
They have other songs out: Life, Fighter, Sorai. Life is a beautiful rock ballad. Beautiful guitar work, Mayu vocals are so beautiful. Drummer Marata Tamu had just come back after time off having her baby. So her holding back emotion, then crying while drumming is so awesome. Life was from their live stream show back in august under lockdown. Nemophila was formed in sept 2019. They all have other bands. But given the past year, no tours, etc, their using YT.
I have tabs & music sheet for Hazuki’s part in the song Oiran. Plus they have a video out for playing along with the song minus either Saki’s channel or Hazuki’s channel. That can be found on the Young Guitar RUclips page.
Yes they have recorded songs for Ep’s and an album. They formed in late 2019. They first recorded a single, Oiran, and covered Iron Maiden The trooper, early 2020, and drummer Marata Tamu was pregnant. And of course lockdowns. Marata came back late July, they did a live stream virtual show in august, and were in studio during the fall, recording songs for the EP, and for an album, once they settle on label. And while in studio, they putout a cover each Friday. And are back in studio.
Yes, That's Saki!! She's also the lead guitarist of Mary's Blood, one of Japan's mainstream bands. She's one of the most famous guitarist in all of Japan. Listen to Mary's blood- Marionette, to listen more of this cool guitarist!!!
As someone else mentioned, you are missing a few originals from them unless you have looked at them on another platform. As for Hide (though you were probably referring to Hyde), have you seen Nemophila’s cover of Kurenai (X Japan cover)? It is a pretty good cover. A lot of their covers are good, the Maximum the Hormone cover doesn’t get the love it deserves (Mayu gets to scream). MtH is a weird and wonderful band you should check out. They are like a more angry, rapping, jazzy, ska playing System of a Down. You sometimes even get a bit of disco and techno. The song Nemophila covers is probably their most conventional song, normally they will have four or five genres in one song. As you may have noticed, a lot of Japanese bands do not pin themselves to one genre. Some people love this, some hate it. Of course the Linkin Park cover has a lot of Mayu screaming too.
I dont think the MTH cover gets the views because unless you speak Japanese you have know clue what it is lol i can have that playing on loop and never get board of it
@@robertturner8040 You are probably right, they should have translated the title and/or band name. Though, to be honest, it is hard to get people to listen to MtH. The fact that they go after reactors so hard probably doesn’t help. A lot of people get their first taste of a band from reaction videos. The X Japan cover also gets little attention due to many people not recognizing the band name. And the Show-Ya and Princess Princess covers get no love at all.
@@mbolden1 Very few have herd of Show-ya out side of japan i had many years ago but just in passing i had listened to a few of there tracks back then from the old friday night rock show in the uk with Tommy Vance he probably played Xjapan as well but i cannot remember no internet back then he was the only avenue into new metal bands and i got all my punk from surf videos lol
Darren J commented on their originals. All of them are good. As far as their covers go, the one with the most views is "The Trooper" by Iron Maiden (obviously), but my favorite of their covers is "I Want Out" by Helloween.
New album coming June 24th. It will feature all seven of their original songs and a bonus English lyric version of "Dissesion". Get it through JPU Records out of the UK.
Nemophila are one of top all female Japanese bands right now. Their live concerts were amazing, listened to three of them already. Been following them since they released the first YT video more than a year ago. But if you think that is all from Japan, oh my you are in a rude awakening ... in a good way lol Lovebites - best band on planet in my humble opinion, all 5 ladies are epic technical multi-instrumentalist and rival the best since the 70's (Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, Dragonforce, Metallica to name a few you could feel they draw influence from) and guitar skills Van Halen and Gary Moore would be proud of.. They do power/trash/speed metal, some of the best ballads ever and occasionally some hard rock. Band-Maid by far the best Hard Rock band on the planet. Scandal - one of the top tier pop rock with punk/ska/reggae/grunge mix. BabyMetal - uhm Kawaii Metal? Regardless of what genre it is, the two ladies (were three before) are simply amazing with Kami band backing some exceptional musicianship. Others: Aldious, Mary's Blood, Trident, Passcode, Bridear of more known all female bands. There are about 40 currently active all female bands and all of them are pretty good in quality, performance and even visuals.
I think there's actually a HUGE hard rock/metal scene in Japan--the insane number of all-girl bands is telling, but it's a small country. I've been into the Jrock scene for maybe around 11-12 years and the more bands I find, the less I listen any American stuff; it's just getting more boring and uncreative imo, and I've been a metal guitarist for over 20 years myself. American/Western Pop/contemporary? Wouldn't touch it with a 10 foot pole, but plenty of Jpop I get into, because the musical styles are so diverse and they just blend EVERY genre making it more interesting. I think with the younger generations who are more into anime and stuff, the Japanese artists may become more popular outside Japan, but I think another problem, unfortunately, as has been my experience with some friends is the language barrier--"if it's not in English, I'll pass. It can't be good" Too bad. Check out Wagakki Band Homura/Akatsuki if you haven't already if you want to see what I mean.
When you two do the reaction to their song Fighters, please let the video continue after the song ends. It’s them being amusing while promoting their new single and live stream. Saki speaks to the audience in English.
Just went back and re-watched that specific parts and Yeah that was rough watching lol. We want our viewers to have fun, Not have seizures so we do what we can in post to make sure everything is good to go for the guys and gals we have supporting the channel and watching our videos! :)
?? Have you even listen to their latest MV Dissension? This shows a WHOLE different side of the band, and i regret that they don't have more songs like that one
Here is all their stuff: ruclips.net/channel/UCvoAeGZoC8giXP59NOZABIAvideos They originally started off as a side project, almost a gag, and the reception has been so positive that they are getting more serious. Saki did hint that they have an album on the way. A lot of the covers, just to warn you, are really out there--they cosplay some of the bands like Babymetal, Kiss and even the Minions (don't ask). Have fun. Oh, I was holding out but I'm subscribing to see what happens.
This is a bit of a super group at least in the Japanese scene...I followed all but the bassist separately before they got together...thank the gods! Hazuki of the Loose Pick clan lists Children of Bodom as her fav band.... so what does that say? lol....
if you stil want to react to Nemophila here are some songs Rise Music Video, Adabana Music Video, Revive Music Video, A Ray Of Light Music Video, Hynosis Music Video, Night Flight Music Video, and Zen official live video and if you want covers AC DC Whole Lotta Rosie, Maximum the Hormone Shimi and Zetsubo Billy, Iron Maiden Aces High and The Trooper, Skid Row Youth Gone Wild and Panterra Walk please let me know what you think
i dont know if you guys are still doing youtube but if you guys are you should check out Nemophilas covers of Maximun the Harmone Shimi, AC DC Whole Lotta Rosie and Iron Maiden Aces High please let me know what you think
