You've never heard that line before This? It's a popular saying in superhero media. There are even song lyrics with that line. You must be really young? Like 13 or 14 I'd assume
This arc even has him questioning his own “moral Jesus”-ness. He created his vision of what a hero is as a child, because without a quirk or any real opportunity to have that dream of becoming a hero actually become possible, his own definition of a hero is all he had. And now it’s what defines him as a hero since he was violently thrust with the responsibility of one for all. Despite his dream being to become the number 1 hero, the responsibility that was explained to him by all might is to kill all for one. Deku even actively confirms that he places this responsibility over his own dream when he fights shigaraki during the war arc. Shigaraki heckles at Deku that continuing his barrage on shigaraki would destroy Deku’s body and possibly kill him (which obviously conventionally speaking would stop him from becoming the number 1 hero), and Deku explains he doesn’t care because the whole point of one for all is to destroy all for one even at the cost of your own life. But after seeing possible signs of conflict within shigaraki, showing signs of humanity, juxtaposing all for one himself’s pure evil lol, he grapples with the question of how far gone is too far gone. He face his little sinister six during the vigilante arc and basically using each battle as an philosophical experiment to find an answer. He straight up toys with muscular, calls him by his government name haha, and tries to play psychiatrist to find out why he does what he does and if he can be changed. Only to come to the conclusion that some people can’t, so he beats muscular like a drum. Then he does the same with lady nagant, but when he gets an actual answer from her, he proceeds to try to prove her wrong. He succeeds, proving that some people can be changed. The fights he has themselves aren’t what challenged him in this arc due to his dominance, but rather the battle of rectitude and standard. The sense of morality has been all he’s had for most of his life, but now it’s put under question and has his feeling numb while trying to find the line in the sand as to which villains are human and which are just animals. Honestly, I still think it could end up going either way, but I wouldn’t be disappointed narratively if he comes to the conclusion that he has to put shigaraki down like a dog.

Vigilante Deku is what made Deku one of my best MC's in Animanga. until then, he reminded me of Tanjiro a lot, but him becoming a vigilante just showed me how much he was willing to carry on his own shoulders
@@chijiokeokorafor6690 Vigilante Deku himself lasted 10 chapters and only beat up a few people. You seriously think he deserves the title of best animanga protagonists when people like Guts, Thorfinn, Dr. Tenma, Musashi, Jotaro, Gon, Yusuke, and more are in that list? The greatest version of Deku is not anywhere close to the best animanga MC. I'd honestly say he's not even as good as new gen MCs like Tanjiro and Denji.
He’s a better mc than Tanjiro. Tanjiro barely shows character development and always seems to be someone of high morality (he’s always unreasonably right and kind especially to demons). Demon Slayer characters don’t have much development in general, it’s backstory that makes them interesting As for Denji, I believe he’s a better mc than Deku and his development is a lot more clear in the manga.
I honestly love characters who are like this. They start off by being the strongly ethical one, who always strive to do whats right, then as he goes through life, he starts going dark. That's also why I like injustice, where Superman does the same thing.
Youll say dark but never go into how it effects anything. Id consider eren "dark" because of his radical shift in ethics, all midoriya has is a gloomy expression and goes solo sometimes.
Considering how a quirk can influence the behavior of those using it, in Deku's case because One For All works best with Selfless people, it is likely that his real weakness is that he is selfless to a fault, to a point where he is willing to neglect and even destroy himself if it meant saving lives despite the unintended harm it would cause to those who care about him. Much like what led to Shigaraki's creation. One could say from this reasoning that All For One and One For All, are actually just two incomplete pieces that are meant to be together, much like the Three Musketeers.

this arc shows that Deku is wrong and going about it wrong. There's nothing Jesus-y about Deku this entire arc. It's never best to go it alone against AFO and Shigaraki on his own.
a lot of people really seem to hate the fact that deku seems to be a goody two shoes, but i think his strong moral compass is the whole point to his character not every character needs to have gray morals, or do things that need to be justified. i like deku's character because he doesn't have those problems. he knows good from bad and he wants to help people, sometimes its nice to have a character that's just that: a good person obviously not my favorite main character, and there are better ones out there, but i really do think he doesn't get enough credit.
But that's not the point of a shonen mc u can't always be "a good person"but it's indeed nice to see something new but fans don't like that new thing because they like how other mc learn from being that "bad person"but now it changes as the video said his desire to save people becomes his weakness and that's the peak of Deku's character
@@Heishim143 i have to completely disagree. not just shounen protagonists, but protagonists in general. the point of a protagonist in shounen isn't their sense of morality. yes, it adds to the character, but that isn't the point. what is luffy's sense of morality? well, he's said it himself, he doesn't like being a hero because the hero would share all the meat, but he wants all the meat for himself. luffy helps people in situations that he deems as unfair, and luffy is one of the best protagonists of all time in my opinion. he isn't the conventional "good person," but if i asked you if he was a good or bad person, you'd probably say he's a good person. luffy's morality comes from the point of his character, which is freedom. he gives other people freedom and strives for freedom because that's the point, his goal, that's what he wants. obviously he's much deeper than that, but that's kind of the surface of it all. in that case, what's the point of deku's character? well, the point of his character is his desire to help and save people as a hero, and as he said in the very first episode, the story of MHA is how he became the greatest hero. his sense of morality comes from his goal similarly to luffy. he's a good person who wants to help people because that's what a hero does. believe me, i love this arc as much as the next guy, and this is definitely my favorite version of deku, but his good spirited nature doesn't take away from his character like some people say. like i said above, a character doesn't always have to have a complicated morality, and characters don't have to be that complicated to be good, sometimes the morality of a character is just simple, and that's completely fine. point is, i think deku's a really good protagonist, and i think his strong moral compass is a good part of his character, so i just don't agree with people ragging on him for it. in this video specifically, doron calls him a "moral jesus," and criticizes that part of his character, but at the end of the day, that's the whole point of his character, that he's a HERO, someone who's SUPPOSED to be moral, and i don't think it makes his character bad, or even necessarily bland.
I think this move perfectly fits Deku’s high moral standing. His moral drive comes from his desire to save people hence why he always was strong. On top of that, rewatching the series Deku doesn’t actively rely on others unless he’s forced to. If he is not forced to he goes at it alone. This was simply him going go at it alone before someone stopped him. He still holds his moral standing, it’s just also keeping him prisoner
… I like Deku’s character, a character does not need to be edgy to be good… it’s the same problem that writers are giving modern super man. Sometimes somebody can just be doing good for goods sake. Deku having going down a dark path is something I didn’t think was actually going to happen… I’ll watch and see but… I like Hero Deku who saves people because he can, because that’s what a hero does
@SacriFice And yet people will complain because lets be real. Some people hate a character that is not edgy. Maybe because it jist reminds them of what they aren't.
@@arnowisp6244 I would say “I guess they memory held All-Might’s origin story.” But even he rides a line. He wanted to be a symbol so people wouldn’t worry. My problem with this arc was that deku was way over powered. If a villain stronger than him chased him during this arc, that would be really terrifying.
That's the thing, it's hard to find villains that are stronger than him in MHAverse at that point of time. His quirk was created to defeat AFO, so of course the final user will have almost no problems with villains but AFO and Shigaraki. That's if we go by logic. Now, we do know that AFO can (could?) create nomu"s, or take someone like Nagant and somewhat buff her

Description Delusions are visual hallucinations caused by being in the Backrooms for a prolonged amount of time. They are shadowy figures that will charge at victims, inflicting emotional or mental effects. Delusions are incorporeal, meaning they cannot be touched or interacted with. However, sightings have been reported of them using their tendrils to interact with objects. Behaviors Delusions form in the minds of wanderers who have spent prolonged amounts of time in the Backrooms. The afflicted individual is the only person who can see them, and the only person who can be affected by them. Delusions cannot do physical damage, however they can inflict short bursts of pain and blindness, as well as various negative mental and emotional effects onto their victim, such as giving them an overwhelming sense of fear or dread, or reducing their sanity. Shortly before an attack, the victim will begin seeing Delusions peering around corners and in dark spaces. If the individual attempts to approach the entity, it will charge directly towards the victim. The Delusion will slam into the person's body, inflicting one or several of the previously mentioned states upon the victim, dissipating immediately after. The best method for avoiding attacks from Delusions, should they form in your mind, is to stay away from corners and dark areas where possible. In the case that you see a delusion, the best method of escapinng is to slowly back away while facing the delusion until it appears to dissipate. At this point, you are free to leave the area safely, and it is encouraged that you do not return to the area unless nessecary. Biology A sighting of a Delusion, taking a humanoid form Delusions are dark, shadowy figures of varying shape and size, which usually have some amount of tendrils. Their most common form appears to be in the shape of spider-like figures, however they have been known to appear in other shapes, including ones that appear to mimic other objects and even other entities. Delusions can seemingly manipulate the size and shape of their body at will, although it seems that in all forms they take on, they must have tendrils. Despite this, they seem to have a large amount of control over their tendrils, being able to control them effortlessly, being able to change their length to an extent, and even being able to branch them into several smaller tendrils. Discovery The first known sighting of Delusions was by a Justin Lowe, a member of a small settlement. He reported seeing 'moving shadows' in the corner of his eye as he was returning from explorating the area. He attempted to run from the entity, assuming it as hostile, causing it to charge at him. He was blinded for roughly 10 seconds, and the attack caused a decline in his mental health

Bro is litteraly a hero fighting against villains who are nuts, how do you expect him to be morally wrong?
A big motivation of the villains and why they’re nuts is how hero society is ran i.e what Endeavor did to his own children is very wrong.
Morally Jesus, he thinks everyone is innocent. Take for the fact Shigaraki. Slow development he is literally Jesus for 5 season.

Oh thats quite the interesting thesis on this coming arc. Even I didn't look into it that deeply.

Demon Slayer characters don’t have much development in general, it’s backstory that makes them interesting
As for Denji, I believe he’s a better mc than Deku and his development is a lot more clear in the manga.

Nice little edit 👏✌️
Considering how a quirk can influence the behavior of those using it, in Deku's case because One For All works best with Selfless people, it is likely that his real weakness is that he is selfless to a fault, to a point where he is willing to neglect and even destroy himself if it meant saving lives despite the unintended harm it would cause to those who care about him.
Much like what led to Shigaraki's creation.
One could say from this reasoning that All For One and One For All, are actually just two incomplete pieces that are meant to be together, much like the Three Musketeers.

a lot of people really seem to hate the fact that deku seems to be a goody two shoes, but i think his strong moral compass is the whole point to his character
not every character needs to have gray morals, or do things that need to be justified. i like deku's character because he doesn't have those problems. he knows good from bad and he wants to help people, sometimes its nice to have a character that's just that: a good person
obviously not my favorite main character, and there are better ones out there, but i really do think he doesn't get enough credit.
But that's not the point of a shonen mc u can't always be "a good person"but it's indeed nice to see something new but fans don't like that new thing because they like how other mc learn from being that "bad person"but now it changes as the video said his desire to save people becomes his weakness and that's the peak of Deku's character
@@Heishim143
i have to completely disagree. not just shounen protagonists, but protagonists in general.
the point of a protagonist in shounen isn't their sense of morality. yes, it adds to the character, but that isn't the point.
what is luffy's sense of morality? well, he's said it himself, he doesn't like being a hero because the hero would share all the meat, but he wants all the meat for himself. luffy helps people in situations that he deems as unfair, and luffy is one of the best protagonists of all time in my opinion. he isn't the conventional "good person," but if i asked you if he was a good or bad person, you'd probably say he's a good person.
luffy's morality comes from the point of his character, which is freedom. he gives other people freedom and strives for freedom because that's the point, his goal, that's what he wants. obviously he's much deeper than that, but that's kind of the surface of it all.
in that case, what's the point of deku's character? well, the point of his character is his desire to help and save people as a hero, and as he said in the very first episode, the story of MHA is how he became the greatest hero.
his sense of morality comes from his goal similarly to luffy. he's a good person who wants to help people because that's what a hero does.
believe me, i love this arc as much as the next guy, and this is definitely my favorite version of deku, but his good spirited nature doesn't take away from his character like some people say. like i said above, a character doesn't always have to have a complicated morality, and characters don't have to be that complicated to be good, sometimes the morality of a character is just simple, and that's completely fine.
point is, i think deku's a really good protagonist, and i think his strong moral compass is a good part of his character, so i just don't agree with people ragging on him for it. in this video specifically, doron calls him a "moral jesus," and criticizes that part of his character, but at the end of the day, that's the whole point of his character, that he's a HERO, someone who's SUPPOSED to be moral, and i don't think it makes his character bad, or even necessarily bland.

I think this move perfectly fits Deku’s high moral standing. His moral drive comes from his desire to save people hence why he always was strong. On top of that, rewatching the series Deku doesn’t actively rely on others unless he’s forced to. If he is not forced to he goes at it alone. Description
Delusions are visual hallucinations caused by being in the Backrooms for a prolonged amount of time. They are shadowy figures that will charge at victims, inflicting emotional or mental effects.
Delusions are incorporeal, meaning they cannot be touched or interacted with. However, sightings have been reported of them using their tendrils to interact with objects.
Behaviors
Delusions form in the minds of wanderers who have spent prolonged amounts of time in the Backrooms.
Biology
A sighting of a Delusion, taking a humanoid form
Delusions are dark, shadowy figures of varying shape and size, which usually have some amount of tendrils.
Discovery
The first known sighting of Delusions was by a Justin Lowe, a member of a small settlement. He reported seeing 'moving shadows' in the corner of his eye as he was returning from explorating the area. He attempted to run from the entity, assuming it as hostile, causing it to charge at him. He was blinded for roughly 10 seconds, and the attack caused a decline in his mental health
