Fun facts about Taste..Hyunjin wrote it with Red Lights in mind. In an article, Hyunjin said he wanted to capture a longing desire for love in this song. It took him a month to make the demo & the guide for it. He showed it to Chan & Chan loved it so much. He edited some portions & they switched the melody line a bit. Hyunjin then sent it to Lee Know and Felix so that they could add their own personal touches to it. They recorded everything in about 2 hours. Hyunjin is really honing his skill to be a full-blown producer...thanks to 3racha for guiding him. I'm just so excited about this song. Thanks for reacting to it.

Hyunjin produced it, it was originally a solo song and Hyunjin chose to make it a unit song. The other members added to it but it was produced by Hyunjin. There are a couple articles about it.

What the articles mean by saying it was "produced" by hyunjin is the lyrics and the melody. Not the beat. But outside of kpop the term "produced" is used for the making of an instrumental so that's why i had to clear that up in case anyone misunderstands. But like i said, it was hyunjin who made most of the melody of the lyrics so he is the main songwriter, would be the right term.

I completely get your friend (Con? Kon?), I also don't like pop like that. I listen to everything else but for some reason, with exception, pop just ain't for me. Then there's SKZ. They're a sweet spot. Pop but not poppy, if that makes sense. Absolutely admire the fact they aren't afraid to experiment with their sounds and themes. Makes me give any song they put out a shot, even if at first it doesn't seem up my alley. Case 143 was actually 1. The trailers had me thinking it might be the first title song I wouldn't like.
