I’ve modified a friend’s small U-Go by adding a Perspex panel in the left hand wing. She uses that for the paint stock and key mixes. She places other mixes in the remaining space on the wing and the middle palette. After painting the two wings are held clam-like with elastic bands to protect the remaining paint.
This was super insightful. Thank you so much for the video. I was interested in the small u.go pochade box as well but hesitant now when I see how small the mixing area is. I wonder if you still have the same experience now after getting used to it? or where you able to work around it?
I would definitely recommend sizing up if you can afford it! I still use the small Ugo for gouache but gave up on using it for oils because of the size.
It's great! Most of the painting footage was filmed with it resting on the side tray and it's super convenient - the only issue I've found is it does overheat after about 10 minutes so I have to remember not to leave it going for too long!

Love the painting! Also how are you finding the insta360 Go 2 to film with? It looks like a very useful little camera for mobile vlogging!
