Used to watch your video back in like 2016/2017, I have to say this is the coolest Iron to Challenger series you have announced yet! Best of luck dude!
Glad to see you are still around Jay! Not much experience on videography from me but I remember watching a bunch of videographers on tik tok walking up to small businesses and asking them to make a 10 second reel for them. Then they posted it and gave them permission to use it. Sounds like a good way to make content promoting your business while meeting potential new clients.
For my advice: - Cut the voice out entirely for the wedding video or get a woman to make comments sparingly - Play classical music or peaceful music - Separate the food/conference/wedding footage and make individual videos about them - In the wedding footage try to show the wives looking beautiful / smiling and dancing - Try to include the beauty of the venue and incorporate the wives into the image - Try to increase the beauty of the video as much as possible and tie the wives to that beauty I hope that this advice from a Kai'Sa main helps the Tryndamere guild
If the market is saturated, you have to be different than the competition (I'm sure you already realized this) and/or branch out (distance). Try to catch a niche market. You're doing all the right things, you just need to persevere. Which is easier said than done when you're struggling to make ends meet. Starting a business is always slow at first and tends to be a money sink until you find your spot. Keep at it Jay, you're doing a wonderful job.
I've been watching your videos for years. I like to see how the content of this channel is transforming. You are doing an amazing job. I'm looking forward to the next episodes of "Unemployed to CEO" :) . And wish you all the best)
Aight bro, LETS SEE THOSE FOOD VIDEOS FROM THAT TOUR OF ASIA! That's a perfect opportunity to showcase your ability to capture mood, atmosphere and other queues!
Before my wife and I got married we did some pre wedding shoots, you could advertise for some on the way to a wedding type things, try and get some of your friends who are couples to come pose near waterfalls and stuff, advertise as someone who knows secretly cool original places to get photos. Australia has a lot of tourists you could probably charge premium clients a decent amount for something like that. You could also do pregnancy photos. Something else you could learn is how to edit photos to make them look more dramatic. A lot of it is about building in contrast you want to try and generate a lot of light and shadow so they play off each other that's part of what makes sunset photos so appealing even though all you can make out are silhouettes.
I had quite a huge mishap at a waterfall shoot. Long story short, slipped on one of those wet mossy rocks and my mirrorless camera went flying, hit a rock and went completely underwater. The fall hurt a lot too of course. Any ideas the best way to advertise to the tourist market?
@@JaySeawish I could help more, I'm not a business person just trying to suggest photo services I've purchased. In new zealand we have "wedding season" and thats roughly late spring and summner into early autumn. Not sure if thats the same there. Perhaps a drone as well for the "unique" wedding shots. Marketing videos for car dealers etc. Could also be a good option. Getting the name out is the key. Perhaps unpaid shoots at events posted to their pages etc. Could be an option. In my area people REALLY want to support local, so be involved in community pages etc, "help out" the community. Offer a free engagment, baby, family shoot thing maybe to further pad and advertise. 💒👰 Wedding clients wants to see wedding content and emotions in your videos. 🏢 Corporate clients wants to see who are you prior customers and how effective the video content created was. The videoreel is great for other creators but not for actual clients. I'll recommend separating all your wedding work and corporate work and have them in different websites.
The market you're fighting in is oversaturated. Try to either find different niches or pivot to a completely different direction (could be anything, brainstorm this, but turning this channel into a travel vlog and asking people to support you on patreon could be a good start).
@@JaySea The great thing about having this legacy channel is that you don't have to guess. You have a lot of active people here. You can just ask them what they'd watch out of all the available to you options. You do need to ask correctly though, which is where The Mom Test book comes in. It's a quick read that explains how to interview people and get to the truth. Another book to read on finding the niche and developing a successful business is The Lean Startup. I have, most people including myself work outside their niche. But a niche website is important in order to attract more higher paying clients. You dont go to Kmart to buy a $10, 000 branded bag for example. It builds more trust and creates a premium feel. That to me is a worthwhile business model. I know that Kmart is also a great business model but it wont translate as well in the video industry when everyone wants the best professional of each niche

The Crown job became a permanent graveyard shift job with no leniency from management to allow for work during the day.
