Jamie's idea of planting blueberries & blackberries on the river side of the fence, is a great idea to stop erosion - & the goats will LOVE that! What great work Lester. All those posts!!
Blackberries will grow on both sides and be able to pick and provide a great place for rabbits to hide, like the old B'rer Rabbit stories my mom read to us as children. Is that the spelling? Look it up if you don't know. B'rer rabbit talked with an accent like you Lester.
Do the people that don't think you work hard realize how much physical work it takes to continuously dig those holes and do the concrete for SO MANY fence posts...! And then to add all the fence boards? Seriously, big props for all the hard work you do. I am always impressed at how you (and all of you) never stop. Even when you guys are sick you still do the work that simply HAS to be done each and every day. Lucky cats - in paradise!
The P-Pats that say that nonsense are just unhappy people that have nothing better to do but cut others down. Also people are sometimes jealous of what others have. I wish that you could ignore those comments Lester but I also get that it’s frustrating to hear. Because I despise the “Karen” comments as well. I know myself that I’m not that type of person so I get it. But HEAR this people from a “Karen” Lester seems to me one of the most heart felt ,hard working people I’ve ever seen. Jami you have a keeper!!! (As I’m sure you already know 😉) Keep being yourself Lester your a true big hearted person, that busts his butt. And you deserve everything that you have. Blessings sent for a Happy New Year to all your family!! 💝🙏
Lester and Jami, your fences are the most beautiful on all the internet. I watch many farm/ranch families and I always pick your channels first! Staining the lumber makes it blend into the landscape and your building is perfection. Thanks for including us!
I'm also a Kentucky gal, and must tell you that your new fence, though not squared up, is very organic and enhances the landscape while providing safety. The stain really makes it blend into the environment. Good job!
I am pleased you settled on the fence ... rather than a grapevine or other bush to mark the edge and the safety required... much more security in the wooden fence. God bless you & Jami and all your fur babies .
So I’m adding a second comment on this video. I just want to say I truly enjoy all the videos. I don’t care if it’s fencing, building structures etc. Of course I love all the animals but it’s yours & Jami’s personalities that make both properties run so smoothly. It’s a joy to listen to you & Jami discuss the best options for the farms and most importantly the animals. 💝🙏
Your videos are never to long for me Lester. They are always interesting even your fence building. It was fun to see the cats follow you. Everything is looking so good!
For me - the longer the video, the better!! I'm excited to see I get to go from this to an hour long LIVE next - yayyyy!!! My 2 cents on the drop-off, maybe line the top 5-10 feet with chicken wire of some sort and plant ivy or another form of ground cover that can assist in preventing additional erosion... no matter what I know you guys will do whatever is necessary!! I think the fence will look great!! 🥰🥰🥰
Lester, thanks for letting me take a walk with you and Jami today. I LOVE it at LHL, I love seeing ALL the projects you do,it makes me feel apart a real part of both ISS and LHL. Love you all..take care Jamis always the voice of reason, always listen to her, shes smart and knows what shes talking about.🤗❤️💖🤠
Letting plants grow on the bank with lots of roots will help hold it together. Someone local can tell you what will flourish and contain the erosion. Have you thought about painting in the barn before the boards are installed? It looks great following the ridge.
I am so happy that Trixie is coming into her own. She still has a vice or 2, but who doesn't? It's like Maggie woke up in Trixie and they are co existing ❤️
When we fenced our back yard , it was different than most. We had mostly solid fence but inserted framed random wire sections for those places we wanted to see thru. We loved the final product and still had a view thru those “windows”.
The fences you build are simple but very nice looking and I don't think it will take away from the view. I always love the view of pastures with the fences.
Cheryl mentioned drilling holes and running chain through the post. I have seen this before and it's beautiful. Doesn't block the view, and has a very clean look to it. Maybe stain post to blend with the natural look.💙💙
I’ve seen this too. The posts were much shorter, but gave a warning to people. I don’t think this would keep the feathers or 4 legged animals out unless there were rows of chains. I don’t think that would be attractive.
OH LAWWWD!! Last time a video started out this way with y'all drinking coffee right there, Lester you showed the world you running around in your draws!!🩲😂😂😂💚
I would imagine that once the fence is done you'll have some peace of mind. I just watched a recent video I can't remember if it was yours or Jami's but it showed more of the fence being done and it looked so good. Also, I can't even tell anymore who's more vocal Beverly or Ivy 🤣
I really enjoyed walking around with you Lester and I think the fence along the ridge is really nice and needed for safety reasons. I enjoy watching all the upkeep videos you do for both locations. Wishing you and everyone a blessed day. ❤
I like seeing your fences like the way you got them . They look nice and neat and not a sore on the eyes like I have seen many . You can tell who takes time in there Ranch or Farm and who doesn't and Lester you do ❤️!!!
From your spot where u drink coffee, Mark the area you don’t want blocked by wooden fencing and maybe used wire fencing and gate in that area. You need the gate to get to water faucet and prayer place.
Loved how Trixie really understood what you where saying about how the cat could fall off the cliff edge, you could see her examining the situation. You'll need to put some sort of fencing up around your fruit trees before the ostriches make a field day of them also.xxx
Jami and Lester I'm glad y'all are doing a fence keeping the kids safe and keeping Lester safe too cause I've seen get to close to that cliff also lol love y'all
Hi Lester. Thanks for the walk and talk. It was really nice to have Jami join in for a while. Love the kitties following along too. I guess we'll know more of what is up with Bev's foot after Courtney's visit. Have a wonderful weekend.
I'm happy your getting your fence up. Keeping kids and birds away while playing not paying attention need the safety of the fence. The fence looks really good after you stained it. I seen that on a video yesterday. I love the animals and all you beautiful humans. Thankyou for showing your work and be proud of it.
You are such a hard working man, I told you that before. I can't believe you did all the fence posts already. Incredible. About to have a fence or to not have a fence, the simple answer is: " ye gotta do what ye gotta do. " ( Canadian English )
Have always loved your ‘do everything possible to keep everyone safe’ attitude. Would strings of balustrade wiring work rather then the solid wood? What ever you use, a tip from a bird park owner was to always paint everything black as the human sight looks past the black & focuses on what is behind it. It will make your fencing almost see through ❤️
Oh Lester, i love all your projects! And i am sure there are a lot of people that is happy when you start a new project! Your ranch is getting so magnificent, one project at a time!! Just follow your heart!
It's a relief knowing not only the kids will be safer but the animals as well. Lester I still worry about you and your prayer place. That is just way too close to the edge for me.
have ya'll thought about planting some kind of hardy vines to grow down the cliff for eventual support? A fence is a good idea, too. We have seen people use bamboo for a fence line. Yes, it can be invasive but if one digs a ditch about 8 inches deep, places the bamboo stalk in the center and then adds a metal strip along either side of the ditch, the bamboo will stay in place. Of course, the goats would LOVE it! lol Love ya!
Oh I love your walkabouts, How on earth did I not see those posts going in, boy you’ve been working hard 😮, I bet that was a lot of bunny hops 😂 the fence will look great, I hope Beverley is ok, and the Longhorns, how would the vet get wormer in their mouths 😬 I’m still in awe of LHL, it’s a stunning property , I’m looking forward to spring and summer to see it all bloom, when you talked about the goats and Ringo staying at ISS I thought to myself , he’ll need some company like ONG but then Tillie ought to stay too and then you said it 🤣🤣🤣💞💞
It will be more beautiful following the ridge line. I'm glad you took that advice from the lady in the email. You have done a beautiful job with that property! Your other fences are beautiful.
Personally I enjoy the fencing and construction or maintenance. I believe the spring is part of Brake shoe assembly for something 👍 Maybe make your access gate big enough to open occasionally as to not block your view from your porch 👍
While I am rambling, has anyone suggested some type of compression brace for Tina. I've know people with knees that swell that wear them at times and it helps with the swelling. And I have a suggestion for all your shelters. I noticed that the animals didn't mind coming up on the overhang that you used as the "watering station at ISS. If you could put an overhang say for example at the goats loafing shed then even when the bullies are blocking the entrance they could still have shelter overhead. The ostriches don't like to be confined but they would probably stand under an open porch like structure. I have heard them called pole barns. The place I first noticed this might be an answer to additional shelter is the stalls you built for the cows. If you extended the roof and pens out away from the stall enclosures the cows might not feel as trapped. It would allow you to keep them open and you could just go into the barn and feed inside so the food wouldn't get wet in inclement weather. Then if you needed to isolate one like you did with Pearl to use the dewormer or to spray for flies they wouldn't bolt. They would also be a little less inclined from running each other off their food dishes if each were eating in their own space. Just thinking outloud.
Idea: put more then one gate for access to the other side of the fence. One at prayer place as you said, one or 2 farther down (looking to the right is facing the prayer place and possible another one in the other direction. Reasoning: If there is ever a fire or a reason you need to get past that fence quick you must have the need to do so without being hindered.
The fence is great if you don't like the boards, check into the ones with the long cables in between. Then you'd keep your view! As for erosion, plants, plants, plants and yes by the river rocks and more rocks. I've got an idea for some trees. They are super fast growing and will be AWESOME! ❤️🌲🌿❤️🌳🌱❤️🌲🌳❤️🌿🪴
The latest info from our Australian Buro of Meteorology is that the Pacific La Nina looks to be ending around April this year, 2023, and become El Nino conditions. For us Australia, it means changing from past years of floods and excessive rain, we become more draught prone, and coming years we would expect draughts. However for your US conditions there would be a break to the bad draught and reverting to normal and significant rise in rain fall. Coming years maybe even more tendency to flooding in some areas. 🙂👍👍👍❤️❤️❤️
Yes Yes Yes!!! The lady from Kentucky was correct - following the ridge line makes it look so much more natural. Plus (of course) Jami was right. That cliff was a real safety issue for the boys and the animals, and even for you Lester. Back from the edge is a much better idea than so close to the edge. If you were to plant some shrubs between the fence and the cliff, I’ll bet they would help a lot to prevent further erosion.
Good afternoon Lester and Jamie. I wish y'all would wear a microphone( like the Cog Hills do) yeah I'm a little older so it's hard for me to hear when you and Jamie are talking. So please think about it. Love y'all all the way from Rutherfordton North Carolina
Lester, the fences are so beautiful. You’ve done a fantastic job. I love how the kitties follow you around. It makes me smile to see them walking with you. Take care of that shoulder.
The fence looks good running along the ridge, you will soon get use to it being there,I don’t think it would look like a smaller pasture. You have worked so hard on LHL and it’s looking awesome.
It's already beautiful at LHL but adding that fence along the ridge is simply fabulous!! Also, I read that someone said how proud they were of Trixie, gotta say I will stand with that. She's not Maggie but she sure is making her momma proud. Love you Trixie girl 😄❤❤
How about using cables? Or even thick rope..You'll still see the posts but the cable or rope will blend in. The posts don't have to be so tall either. You can put terracing on the bluff, maybe 3 terraces. Did you give the ISS goats your Christmas trees 🌲?
The video of you moving Carl, you showed Huck for a minute. I have to say, Huck is looking beautiful. He looked so full and fluffy. I don't know if he has a winter or not but he looked great.
I watch it all. I enjoy your walks along LHL'S, it's so peaceful and quiet, although Beverly always has her say...lol! You work your butt off so whatever you're doing on the video, I'm right there with you! Besides there's always at least a kitty or dog running around! Love you two and so appreciate you sharing your world with us. ❤❤❤
Maybe down the road you could put in a small gazebo type structure, perhaps with a swing, that sits higher off the ground and looks over the river. That would be a nice place to have coffee and be able to see over the new fence. I’m not sure if there is a good spot for something like that since you need to be able to mow and maneuver the tractor when necessary. Just an idea that pooped in my head. Since you would need to step up to it, it could also have shelter underneath for the dogs and cats. I know they have plenty of options for shelter but just an idea. I think the fence will look nice and I think you will be more comfortable if/when the babies get out unexpectedly.
I think a gazebo over there would be nice and he wouldn't have to worry about using the tractor over there he mows with his riding lawn mower so I don't think there will be a problem there👍
I always thought it would look beautiful with the fence right there. I love your fencing to the point where I have photographs of your fencing so my husband can build one around my house I always worried that the ostriches are going to run right off it I think it's going to be beautiful you should make a little spot down near the lake just for you two to relax and enjoy
Out of curiosity would a wire fence be better than a panel fence? Out of curiosity are ya'll gonna make a fence in front of the river? So the goats won't get to close or fall in the river? It is so cool to see the cats also following you and Trixie....Those babies are having so much fun climbing the trees.... Reminds me of my 4 cats they sure love to be with their owner and make sure they are safe awwww....
Agree.. the fence is a safety necessity you're being wise installing the fence as a precaution against harm. Idea for the erosion issue.. maybe use old railroad ties down the hill. It's what we did and it worked wonderfully.
Lester, I care about every aspect of both the Sanctuary and Long Horn Lester's. For 3 years you have been a very special part of my life. I have laughed and cried with the Morrow Clan ever since I stumbled onto you, on Facebook. Keep doing what your doing. Don't change a thing. Your the best therapy I've ever had.
Lester, I think you and Jami has done an awesome job with all the fencing and barns and etc. I love your videos ! Your animals are blessed to have such a beautiful place to be their forever home.
It’s a necessary evil lol. You are doing a great job on that fence Jami and Lester. The animals are all looking good. I love taking a tour of the place periodically. Have a great weekend
Hi Jami and Lester, I'm on the fence lol about you losing your view of the river however, that fence will be good, it's safety for everyone, it shows from the riverside that the property is occupied and you could also use it as a trellis for grapes and blackberries. You always put a lot of thought and hard work into everything that gets done at LHL. I hope 2023 is a wonderful year for you both.
I love your project videos and I really am sad that some people ruined it for those of us that do. It’s so satisfying seeing the progression and watching something come together. Ps Beverly with that cat was the cutest
All the tall trees along the ridge line and going down the cliff are absolutely beautiful. You could always cut the posts down on top so they aren't so tall but still had protection. Wow that is a lot of fencing, especially with all the other fencing that is up. Lester there is an erosion gel that companies spray on hillsides, ponds, mountains and ridges that keeps the land from eroding anymore and lasts up to 10 years. Yes it is expensive but well worth the money. Please look into it in Houston because it will save your land, save on headaches and finances in the long run. They use it where I live in central Texas cause erosion is super bad where I live and it works awesome. Beautiful place, glad y'all were blessed to find this place and make it a wonderful ranch.
Hello, my friends. I have a suggestion. Where you look out you can always string a small amount electrical fencing leaving a small viewing area. You have an awesome weekend. Love you all.
I enjoy seeing your projects. I think you do a great job balancing animals and projects. Jamie’s idea for blackberries is great! Trixie is thriving at LL. ❤
You did amazing work Lester that was a lot of hard work putting in that fence and it will give you and Jami such a peace of mind for the safety of the fur babies and human babies,Seeing Tex with his family resting is so sweet to see there all living the good life happy and content.Maybe you might have to make another building like Dixieland for Tex and his family I know they have their own stalls but they sure like Dixieland 😅Trixie is having the time of her life with Christmas having her best friend with her they all look so happy.Have a great day ❤🥰
Jami is correct‼️LHL is looking incredibly amazing! If you want to view the river you will have to go to the prayer place or place you a pretty bench next to the fence and you can look over while sipping your coffee or sit you up a moveable deer stand and you can crawl up every morning and drink your coffee not safe but whatever makes you Happy??? Maybe a stable area going up from inside and making you a roof top area terrace…. Going to be HOT in the summer but how bad do you want to see the river without walking to the fence? Happy New Year to you and Jami and all the babies‼️🦋❤️💜
How incredibly proud of Trixie are we all ?
YES!!! 👏👍🐾🦮❤
Absolutely....she has her Mother’s genes ...such a sweet demeanour...I just wish she could have been brought out to LHL’s sooner..
I am!!
Yes!! It’s Trixie’s time to shine. ❤
Yes I am so very proud of her.
Jamie's idea of planting blueberries & blackberries on the river side of the fence, is a great idea to stop erosion - & the goats will LOVE that!
What great work Lester. All those posts!!

Plus still keep up with BOTH properties. Plus Jami still works a full time job and has to travel at that. It's outrageous!

Agree fence building is not for Sissys for sure! Hard hard work.
Digging holes is hard? Not if you have a post hole auger for your tractor like the guys at Cog Hill have. 😉
It’s so nice to see Tex so laid back an not upset about the other bulls making him upset he’s so chill these days
Lester and Jami, your fences are the most beautiful on all the internet. I watch many farm/ranch families and I always pick your channels first! Staining the lumber makes it blend into the landscape and your building is perfection. Thanks for including us!

Your videos are never to long for me Lester. They are always interesting even your fence building. It was fun to see the cats follow you. Everything is looking so good!
Your videos are not long for me because they are like taking a walk with a friend. Make me a cup of coffee with lots of cream and one sweetener, too.
A beautiful view is a wonderful asset. Peace of mind is much more important!!! The view is still there, and so are the littles and bigs and kiddos!❤
I agree Carol 👍🏽
Any woman shouldn't worry about hair and makeup when she is right out of bed when wearing A DRESS AND PEARLS! Jami, you are always beautiful.
For me - the longer the video, the better!! I'm excited to see I get to go from this to an hour long LIVE next - yayyyy!!! Umm, Lester is local, born and raised. They just added more property to their portfolio in the same general area.
I am so happy that Trixie is coming into her own. She still has a vice or 2, but who doesn't? It's like Maggie woke up in Trixie and they are co existing ❤️

Beverly’s like you know the drill, Lester, as she swings that hind end at him😃🤣❤️ The love and attention that goes into both properties shows❤️❤️
* A peace of mind is priceless * That was fun to walk around n see how the animals r doing in different weather conditions..everything looks awesome…
Your videos are never to long. I get a little sad when they are over I could watch all day long. Piece and love from east Tennessee.✌️
I like seeing your fences like the way you got them . They look nice and neat and not a sore on the eyes like I have seen many . You can tell who takes time in there Ranch or Farm and who doesn't and Lester you do ❤️!!!
We ALL love to hear you talk and show us your babies Lesters!!!
I'm so glad Tina is feeling better!
Great video! I love how the kitties & Trixie just follow you wherever you go!❤

I'm under sooo much stress right now your videos relax me Lester. I love them all.
I AGREE help with the stress
Prayers @DeborahDavis 🕊️☮️
It breaks my heart to always see Gracie alone!❤️🤗
I was thinking the exact same thing...😢...she’s always at a distance from the others...she needs a friend...😔
If she had fun at hand camp she won't be alone much longer.
Band, not hand.
Lester, I enjoy watching You build fences or shelters for the animals & Feathered ones to have a Forever Life.
Yay!!! You're finally fencing that dangerous cliff side. Great start to 2023 at LHL.
Jami and Lester I'm glad y'all are doing a fence keeping the kids safe and keeping Lester safe too cause I've seen get to close to that cliff also lol love y'all
Lester, I could watch you put fencing up all day… I find it very therapeutic.
Hi Lester. Thanks for the walk and talk. It was really nice to have Jami join in for a while. Love the kitties following along too. I guess we'll know more of what is up with Bev's foot after Courtney's visit. Have a wonderful weekend.

Oh Lester, i love all your projects! And i am sure there are a lot of people that is happy when you start a new project! Your ranch is getting so magnificent, one project at a time!! Just follow your heart!
I really enjoy seeing your projects on the farm along with the animals. Mixing it up keeps it interesting.
LHL property is looking very beautiful. It's good you are fencing the Ridgeline.
It's a relief knowing not only the kids will be safer but the animals as well. Lester I still worry about you and your prayer place. That is just way too close to the edge for me.
Yep..especially if he falls asleep & gets up on the wrong side of the hammock! 😬

That spring looks like it came from the old rocking horse. The fence is a great idea. Trixie has become such a good farm girl!
Jami was smart to think of the erosion issue regarding the cliff fence. ❤🎉😊
You work really hard to build and maintain both properties, we understand Lester. Really grateful Tina and Dixie seem better
Fence looks good you guys ! The cats love playing on the ridge ! Loved your video ! ❤

I really loved this video! LHL is so peaceful and I love going along on the "welfare" checks with you:)
It’s amazing how quickly the grass has turned green, God is good🥰
Idea: put more then one gate for access to the other side of the fence.
Poor Dixie God love her beautiful heart all of them they're all beautiful hearts
Biodegradable erosion mat you buy in rolls... it's made from coconut husk which allows grass seed to still grow thru..
Love the videos no matter what. Trixie is having the time of her life. Love watching her enjoying her self. ❤️
I love the projects and how they look when it's all done and pretty.
Hello Lester. I too know it will change your view, but it is so necessary. Love you guys.
That is a beautiful scenery, love the way y'all have designed everything. Keep up the great work.
I’m amazed at how fast you got the ridge fence up! It’s going to look beautiful when finished, and I think it will add not detract from the view!
Lester & Jami, I've used crossties, like on train tracks. When Train tracks are changed they sell their old ones. Hope that helps.
Love & Hugs, Nancy
Same in in Northern California, we are loving all this wonderful rain we're getting
Love all your projects its proper farm life day to day
Hi Jami and Lester, I'm on the fence lol about you losing your view of the river however, that fence will be good, it's safety for everyone, it shows from the riverside that the property is occupied and you could also use it as a trellis for grapes and blackberries.
Your pond is so full. That's awesome. I like whatever you and Jami want to share with us. You have a peaceful place. I love the country. Take care
I love your longer videos. And also love watching y’all doing building etc ❤️
The fence looks nice….safety first😉
Look at those Horns on the Longhorns! Wow...gorgeous!
💚💚
Hello, my friends. I have a suggestion. Where you look out you can always string a small amount electrical fencing leaving a small viewing area. You have an awesome weekend. Love you all.
I enjoy seeing your projects. I think you do a great job balancing animals and projects. Jamie’s idea for blackberries is great! Trixie is thriving at LL. ❤
Love watching all of your projects and building ❤
So awesome that the kitties come out and follow y'all as you walk the property. 💚💚
