What are the decision-making mechanisms among the Agri-food Industry, European institutions, and the scientific community? Who decides the agriculture of tomorrow? Who decides the price we have to pay for it?
The documentation discusses the practices of giant industries, focusing on the agrochemical industry and the controversy surrounding regulation, transparency, intellectual property rights, and the use of pesticides. It argues that regulation is vital to prevent misuse and that corporate profits have been prioritized over public safety. It raises concerns about a possible lack of transparency, stating that although industry insiders state they are open to full disclosure, intellectual property rights often prevent this.

I live currently on Vancouver island BC. I grew up on the west coast on the Sunshine Coast. As a child I remember seeing monarch butterflies 🦋. I never see them anymore and was told they don’t make the migration anymore due to pesticides..
Last summer I tried to grow milk weed the variety they only use one the pink one to breed. They didn’t take I have a brown thumb.
@@tracywatts1459I hardly ever see monarchs anymore 😢 I live in MN , in the metro
@@fastingleah2604 yes! And it’s because they die off from USA pesticides on the way. Monsanto is CRIMINAL! There was a very good documentary on Monsanto and how they tried suing a Saskatchewan farmer that’s crops were cross contaminated via Pollen from the USA. Monsanto hold Patents on GMO and seeds . The whole reason for Covid..Fauchi was the head of the CDC . In on the labs creating viruses so they can get the patent on vaccines. He already said they are planning to repeat this with another man made virus. And warned there will be another Plandemic .
Back in the day.....farmers wore denim overalls, not white lab coats
I had mice in my food pantry and they got in to many things but never even chewed on the boxes of Cheerios and Corn Flakes. I threw them away and bought some organic from Whole Foods. It breaks my heart when I go to the grocery store to see all the poison on the shelves.
😂 so called organic cereal is not any better.
Whole Foods does not sell quality foods either. Plenty of processed junk and lots and rancid conventional bad food. It’s no longer a Whole Foods market.
Who wld believe mice are so smart?
"Growth and jobs are more inportant then peoples lives" What a crazy world we have created.
Take the wepon industry. Crazy world. How make profits. You start Wars
Stand Strong, Europe!! Dont let them poison you like they do to us!!!
That is because majority of the wealth is controlled in few people's hands. People lives are like serf, cheap, disposable and easily replaceable. Politicians are controlled by rich magnates and corporations who prioritise profit and money over the wretchness of people's lives.
the way these industry people can just keep a straight face while lie into the camera. no shame. if ANYTHING on this planet should not be a business, it's food. what they sell us and claim it's for our good is just blatant audacious.
👏🏾
Don't worry. Medical Doctors do the same thing with drugs
Sounds like you're saying we're trapped??
Lobbying should be a crime, the industry only have one goal: Earn more money, no matter how.
It's a crime if they don't. "Fiduciary responsibility". The problem here is the government.
Why is it a crime? Think about the words you are saying
So talking to politicians to get your information out there should be illegal?
Satisfying our consumers addictions to sugar has much better returns and simpler supply chains than a healthy diet. Let them eat cake -Marie Antoinette
GMO tech is used to bring more ‘beautiful/marketable’ food to market irrespective of the quality.
A growing economy is dependent upon a growing energy sector. The energy sector has reached peak oil.
What are your examples of this?
I think "cake" in that quote refers to the caked lining of wood-burning stoves, i.e. charred residue. EDIT apparently not! Read response...
@@techs120project Mange la (brioche/cake).. a dry cake that Marie was tired of eating during the famine. It was only being made in quantities to feed the nobles. So it wasn't a solution, the people revolted.
Why is the background music always so loud?
Because always tired obese sugar addicts tends to fall asleep watching videos on sofa. So this is the way to hold them awake longer.
Noise pollution is also the price of progress.
So you can check the quality of your earphones 🙃
Corporate greed stops at nothing.. not even eardrums.
Anybody have idea of soundtracks used ?
In a world still propelled by profit and growth, mankind will just keep on its current downward trajectory. We can't let go of profit, greed and indulgence. We don't understand the concept of sacrifice for the greater good. We are ultimately doomed.
The sad reality 😔
The insatiable appetite for power and profit trumps all. Truly tragic and ungodly qualities that will lead to mankind's ultimate demise.
Not all are doomed. Elites will get their non gmo organic foods. They will survive. Small people on GMO will get sick and generate profit for pharma win and win for corp
Downward trajectory? The world has never been as good to people as this century.
That is because majority of the wealth is controlled in few people's hands. People lives are like serf, cheap, disposable and easily replaceable. Politicians are controlled by rich magnates and corporations who prioritise profit and money over the wretchness of people's lives.
Why hasnt America investigated the many food production plants that have mysteriously caught on fire and were destroyed ??
Very good question
Do not allow GMO!! Look what countries are population is healthier?? Those who do food tradition way? Isn't it?
Verbal interpreters would be great for those of us with visual impairment.
Learn how to grow your own food. It’s the only way to have true food security. Once you start growing it your life will change. Then you start learning how to preserve it and you’ll see that you can’t possibly eat all that you’re growing and then you start sharing it. And those people suddenly realise what real food tastes like and then they want to grow it. And the whole time you’re ignored this industry and gotten a million times happier simply through the process of growing your own food. You can literally grow food anywhere if you use your imagination and even more if you do as part of a community.
As a homesteader, i feel as if there are 2 parallel ways of food production. Its a sliding scale between the 2 but id roughly divide it between big agg and family farms/homesteads. The thing is, imo that the big agg, has through lobbying of politics created a environment that deters small holds from competition. Since eu, it is illegal to sell any rumenent animal meat that has not been stamped by a vetenerian and a licensed slaughterhouse. This is a huge issue. For me to sell my lambs, that have grown their whole lifes on pasture around my home. I need to pay 100e per head to have them shipped hundreds of km, and to be slaughtered, to be shipped back to me so i can sell them. Imo this is both ethically and ecologicaly wrong. If i was to sell the carcass to the store, id recive 3-5 euros per kg. In the store it would then cost 30e/kg to the consumer. In the same store lamb from nz costs the same. I find this very disturbing and makes me not want to participate in the food industry. Hence id recommend ppl conserned with their food for economical, ethical and ecological reasons to group together and start growing their own food.
Here in the US, more states are beginning to set legislation that regulates small farmers differently than large conglomerates. I am extremely fortunate to live in a state which is "farmer friendly" and small farmers here regularly sell out at farmer's markets. There is such a large demand for "normal" (non-industrialized) food that there is typically a waiting list for animal products. Big Ag is doing its best to try and remove all food choices from Americans, so that we can ONLY get our food from the Big Ag industry, but consumers are pushing back and demanding food that doesn't destroy the environment and make people sick. It's a slow process, and it's only a small segment of the population, but it is a GROWING demographic, and eventually will hit a tipping point where the majority of people reject this disastrous ag model and Big Ag is forced to change.
All focus on quantity no focus on quality. Growing bad quality food and adding different additives to make it edable. Making people and environment sick
Sick people is Profit for pharma
Yep, I say people(including me), lean to adopt some form of fasting to help themselves heal if their physical well enough to do so.
I hope more people protect of all farmers In This earth 🗺️🌱🍃🎋🦜🐕🐈🐓🐃🐂🐏🐋🦋🦄🐴🕊️🙏💡
Maybe in democratic socialism used by our metadata. But capitalists will rather die then allow liberty.
They don't eat their own food.
11:10 "We haven't had a famine in Europe for hundreds of years".
Is she serious?
Well, we haven't,if the period of ww2 is exempted.. And even then, not throughout Europe.
Excellent documentary! Thank you
Blame Bill Gates
Greed will kill every human in this world
Poppy farmers are just business people. What’s the big deal?
The background music is too much.. I almost cannot hear the interview. This is a great documentary, but I do hope the background music does not get in the way. Thank you.
Trade, benefits, economic grownth, profit... yeah that is really good for us!
the sense of life 😂
How bout reducing food waste there would be plenty of food to go around we should not have to have gmo to supply more food.
10:45 - “looking at the importance of gender in farming.” You’ve got to be kidding me 🤦🏼♂️
😂 what the ESG is he talking about 😂
this was the moment i shut it off... this is why no one listens to us...
TONE DOWN THE MUSIC!

food company are really sensitive to what the consumer by , if we don't buy this food , they will change it to better
The more likely scenario is that they will continue with their same horrific practices, but hire a marketing firm to figure out how to put a more positive spin on it.
"We hear all of you fine folks screaming about all the poisonous pesticides in the foods you're eating."
"Well we've finally got the solution for you. If you imagine it's not there it's really not so bad 😁."
Watch the video before commenting.
Yes mam
Lol
At least there exists the option for organic food.
You'll have a fight on your hands because they are stepping towards criminalising organic food in the name of climate change
I'm worried it's not really organic
@@heidiroy-boy I toured some organic farms and there are even farmers who practice organic without the costly designation.
“When we fight against” I mean when we try to dialogue lol

What a shame that the corporations have to wait 15 years in Europe for testing on their products. Why don’t they save that time by just rolling out the product immediately and just testing it on the people 🤦♂️.

diversity in food, unity in things!
Instead of banning plastic why no t get the company to produce "do no harm" plastic. Recycleable plastic.
Industry toxin produced by industry in the manufacturing processed should pay to dispose instead of selling fluoride to water & toothpaste manufacturer.

👍👍🤔
I see smartly dressed small people behind big desks of giant corporations. I see people who have never had soil behind thier fingernails justifying playing god....whilst destroying humanity.

Why do you ruin your documentary with creepy sounds always on in the background
If I want to eat Mcdonald's I'm going to eat Mcdonald's! Stop telling me what to do, and California will pay $25 minimum wage starting in April.
Its $20, not $25. Applies to many fast food places, but not all. Also... stop eating McDonald's

What's hard to understand about that concept guy?
you chose only from the variants they gave you. unless you grew your food yourself, they choose what you eat
big deal. who cares who decide? i still eat what i want
but you do not have free will, so it is not up to you.
god damn sheeple
Basic foods like organic vegetables & fruit should actually be free and a human right!!
At whose cost? Who will take care of the trees? That would make them a slave.
There is no such thing as "free" - someone has to grow, harvest, and process that organic food. If you are that adamant that you don't pay for it, then you should grow it yourself.
Yes I know that there is always a cost obviously, but good food for people who cannot afford it should be a right. Than be a burden later in life on health services which economically cost more in the long run. Thats what I was saying.@@asdisskagen6487
Of course its not free to produce that was not my point think everyone knows economics & how its works when I said it should be a human right, thought is kind of obvious. I was meaning about governments should subsides poor people who really want to eat good food instead of cheap junk foods being a cheaper options thats really what I meant by free.@@asdisskagen6487
So Endevr just replays other peoples documentaries. Shame.
Whaaat??? "Our understand of nature has changed over the years" no!!! nature is nature your foolishness has become more invasive over the years more like it!!!
