Ainz hated this entire situation. He sees the tomb as the sacred home of his friends. And he had to invite petty theives into this place that he loves more than anything. He did a lot to get them to not go though with raiding the tomb. He tried convincing them not to do it. Then he asked why they were doing it and when they said it was for money he put several fortunes out before the tomb for them to find to take and not enter. But no, they chose to step inside his home. So, as punishment their fates are some of the most horrible in the series. He would never have done this, if not for demiurge. Demiurge has a plan to subjugate the empire and this was one of the steps for that plan. Ains has a rule he likes to follow. Dont object to a plan if you dont have a vaild alternative. He could not think of a better way to capture the empire. So he very unwillingly went through with this.
His reaction to the workers saying that a friend invited them here was because his greatest desire deep down is for his friends to be here with him. He knew that they were lying to survive. That it was not possible for his friends to have invited them there........ But what if he's wrong. And they were invited here. That tiny impossible chance Is why he even humored them for as long as he did. And when they didn't know that his name wasn't ainz he knew they were lying. And he exploded in anger. He was so angry that all of the guardians freard for their lives just being in the presence of his anger. His ability to nullify his emotions failed to fully suppress how angry he was. Only helping him regain control from his hate fulled rant. The 2 of them were sent to the big hole where their bodies were used as a nesting ground for eggs of an npc. The preist eventually had his mind completely broken and started worshiping a rock as his God the girls body was ripped apart and taken by several different npcs, and her sisters were sold into slavery by the scumbag parents in order to pay off their loan.
the humans did not have enough fear. Fear is a safety mechanism for us humans. B/c they thought they had even something of a chance at survival their negative nature and past survival experiences dug then deeper down their deaths. Obviously Ainz crew at fault too. For killing and always downplaying themselves. If tomb ground had more apparent warnings or if Ainz didn’t hide his power or like present himself more fitting of his OP MC status like when he stunted across the lizard village then these humans would have succumb to fear first thing and lead to them recognizing inevitable deaths meaning more likely they act more caring and weak as they live their last moments = actually possible for Ainz to find respect and honor in them = little more mercy lol
Ainz despises humans because oh his race as an undead. He may have been a human, but becoming an undead changed his perception of living creatures. he also hated getting people into the tomb because he wants to keep it sacred and untouched as much as possible. he had a change of heart because he thought that one of his player friends was reincarnated and gave the adventurers permission to enter(not one of the NPCs, they see humans as bugs not worth their time in the best case, and as expendable resourses/farm animals in the worst case). basically, ainz thought that if someone did allow humans in, they would have to know about the tomb and therefore be a player that used to be part of the guild. the description that the twin blade user gave vaguely resembles one of the guildmates too, which made ainz even more unsure. but none of the guild members know that he is called ainz. they would have told them to give their greetings to momonga of the tomb of nazarick(ainzs gamertag, basically. remember, he has three names: his human name Suzuki Satoru, his gamertag Momonga and his new world name Ainz Ooal Gown, which he adapted from the guild name). any players who knew about nazarick knew him as Momonga, and would tell the adventurers to say hi to momonga and not ainz. TLDR: ainz hates humans, adventurer used ainzs fake name instead of his real one and lost his comrades lives.

Listen Ainz had every right to take care of the home invaders but dam maybe slightly overkill 😭🤔

Iirc, the twins weren't just sold into slavery. They were both overworked to the point of death.
