I have had both normal and facelift version……. I believe the facelift to have been built to an inferior specification…… interior materials worse ……. But yes rust issues were reduced …… Chrysler influence and accountants were already starting to interfere in the early 2000s
Great video, but MB use waterbase paint from 1996 to 2024, and they neither change their formula, nor improve the paint quality during the lifespan of 210. The paint quality improvement happens since 2003, so maybe there are only a little bit wagon 210 have upgraded paint. Also, they dump the bio degradable wire since 1997, any car produced since the June of the 1997 should not have any problem

they used oil based paint again starting in 06 model years
