Thank you so much for this very insightful video! I love how down to earth and humble you seem. Very inspiring! I now have some more motivation to apply to the residency program
My residency interview starts next week, this was helpful. Thanks :)
For the facebook ai residency? When were you contacted? I havent been contacted yet and I am wondering what does this mean
@@raymoniyalawrence5484 Not for Facebook, I had Uber coding round.
@@sathvikudupa1668 uber seems to be taking on a lot of people. Congrats
@@raymoniyalawrence5484 Oh, I cleared the coding round but wasn't accepted to the research round/s. Did you get through in any of the residencies?
@@sathvikudupa1668 , still waiting on FB. Not sure if they are still selecting... sorry about uber
Крутой контент, продолжай в том же духе:) (но звук лучше улучшить)
Arutemu Bogma Спасибо)
Thanks. Gonna do more leetcodes.
I'm a senior in high school and got offered an interview for the AI Residency program this week. This was very helpful. Thank you!
Sauhaarda Chowdhuri Congrats!
waiting for more vlogs
This was good info. Can you make a video on how to get started with AI in more depth . Thanks in advance.
Manas varri I will consider that, thanks for sharing
Hi. I recently saw your channel and liked your videos. Then I saw your LinkedIn profile, then your google scholar profile. You are freaking awesome. How did you write so many papers in just two years?, what is your educational background?, how did you prepare yourself to be more productive than many PhD students even when you were in three different universities?
I am a undergraduate student in mechatronics and I am very interested in novel AI research, I would like to have a good guide to get ready as an undergrad for a research program, It would be pretty cool to have a video about that and your background. I enjoyed your content. Have a nice day :)
P.S. Could you speak a little louder or turn up the audio in your videos?
mauricio fernandez Hi, thanks! Very pleased to hear.
Let's keep the sequence. During my study I worked on research mostly myself, as a sidework, and sometimes was able to use papers as course-projects. Another thing is that my papers are not very advanced, they often required just application of existing algorithm, and it accelerated work a lot.
For you I would suggest reading a papers and looking for the gaps or some ideas how to modify something, or at least how to apply something in a new way. it usually works. Although I would suggest to work on quality and not quantity.
I'll try to make a video on how to get into AI, let me know your question!
I boost volume already, haha, but maybe I can do it more
@@OleksiiSidorovThank you for the advice, I'll keep working hard.
@@OleksiiSidorov How do you write your papers course oriented while making them citable?
@@mauriciofernandez1342 I mean, it's not contradictory. If you make a good research which is citable - it will fit any school project ;)
Does FAIR follow the same coding and research interview pattern even for Research Internships or is the coding interview more inclined towards applied ml concepts (like implementing some clustering algorithm rather than general LC problems?). I have my interview at FAIR in a couple of days and your answer would be very helpful.
The recruiter should give you more details, but from my experience you are likely to have LC tasks. This is for coding. And likely separate interview for research experience and theory.
@@OleksiiSidorov Thank you so much for the quick response. Actually, I do have 2 interviews lined-up. A coding round and then a research interview. Also, thank you so much for the informative video series about working at FAIR!
I hope my like will make you famous
I added another one; all praise the algorithm.
Does participation in kaggle research competitions count?
Is it possible to get a job in machine learning without education?
May i ask what kind of education do you have?
You can become an SWE with any background, anything technical or STEM will work. I did undergrad in physics.
How do I view PPT files on the website using the Django framework?
